The First Store System

1596 Feeling Inferior!

Chapter 1596: Feeling Inferior!

”Since you have heard all the rules and accepted them, itʼs time for you to sign the contract.”

Aakesh called out, and the next moment, his personality completely changed. He was gentle before, but now he seemed to be the dawn of primal destruction.

The next moment, the space inside the store began to crack, and soon after, a creature appeared.

Ransh felt his heart exploding at that moment as he was stared at by that terrifying eye. He could feel his inferiority in that eye. He could sense that no matter what he could achieve, he still wouldnʼt be anywhere close to the level of that creature.

The eye only glanced at Ransh for a moment and then looked at Aakesh. As usual, it contained no emotion. Even Aakeshʼs indifference felt nothing compared to that.

”Read the contract and sign it.” Aakesh ignored what Ransh was going through, as it wasnʼt the first time he had seen something like that.

Aakeshʼs words woke up Ransh, and his heart immediately calmed down. He then took the paper from the formerʼs hands and began to read the content on it.

There was nothing new that the store owner hadnʼt already told him, so he took a deep breath and touched the signature spot. The next moment, his entire body shook while his face turned pale as an unbearable wave of pain attacked him.

Fortunately for him, it only lasted a moment, and there were no sequelae, so he immediately returned to normal. Before he could breathe a sigh of relief, the eye looked at him once again and then at the contract.

The next moment, the contract faded into countless light dots that returned to Aakesh, and the creature also disappeared. The space immediately healed after that.

”Do you want to know what the creature was?”

Khaval, who had been silent all the time, suddenly spoke. He and Lily knew about Ransh since he would come to the store from time to time and would ask to become Aakeshʼs student.

Ransh was also curious about it, so he nodded. The next moment, his face turned pale, and he cursed himself in his heart for not being able to control his curiosity.

Only a few creatures could remain calm after learning about them coming face to face with a Deva. Even though it was just one of the numerous clones of the mighty being, it was still something that he would never be able to catch up to.

Ransh also finally understood why he had felt so inferior in front of that eye. He was an egoist who had complete confidence in himself, but he didnʼt dare to even think of being the same as Deva.

”Okay, since I have explained all the things to you, you can leave. Your work will start tomorrow morning. Be ready to arrive before everyone and wait for the doors to open.”

Aakesh knew Khaval was only playing with Ransh, so he didnʼt interfere with it. But after a few minutes, he decided to close the store, so he informed Ransh and asked him to leave.

”Thank you, store owner! I will work hard for the store,” Ransh bowed and then left the store.

***

After Ransh came out of the store, he found a large number of people outside. When the crowd saw him, their eyes lit up, and they greeted him with great enthusiasm.

Ransh felt scared for a moment as if he were some trophy that everyone wanted to snatch. He then calmed down and responded to their greetings with a smile. His family members were also in the crowd, so he walked up to them.

His family was quite large since he had seventy siblings of his own and hundreds of cousins. According to the store owner, his family could live with him in the store-provided house, but the restriction was that the house couldnʼt be overcrowded.

The number of people was equally proportional to the number of rooms in the house. Only a married couple with a kid younger than adult age (Vurron race adult age is 60) can claim one room as their own despite being multiple people. Other than that, it was an equal ratio.

Since he had awakened his talent, he had been slightly distanced from his family, but that didnʼt mean that he didnʼt love them. If he had a chance, he would want his entire family to live with him and improve themselves.

But since it wasnʼt clear how many rooms there were, Ransh decided to tell his parents and ask them to decide after finding out the rooms.

When the family listened about the residence, they became happy, but when they heard the latter part, some became disappointed while others nodded, thinking of many things. In the end, they decided to leave the choice to Ransh. Since he had won it all, it wouldnʼt be good for them to try to influence his decisions.

Ransh then stopped wasting any time and walked to the right of the store. A large area around the store had been cleared and had been made into a waiting zone. Ransh could choose any area in the city as his residence since the store would pay the full price of the land.

Ransh needed to arrive at the store every morning before the customers, so he decided to choose the nearby land as his residence location.

The residence area from the outside would only be 20 square meters, so it wasnʼt a very big parcel of land. It also wouldnʼt cost the store a fortune because of the high prices of the land in Thorr City, which was caused by the storeʼs presence in the first place.

There were people around the selected area, so Ransh requested them to move aside. No one dared to refuse and immediately made way.

In no time, the twenty square meters of empty area appeared. Ransh took a deep breath, as this piece of land would be his permanent residence for as long as he worked as the storeʼs assistant.
