The First Store System

Chapter 1577: Huan And the Creature(3)

The creature ignored Huan and focused on the beastʼs appearance on the card.

The upper half of the card contained an art description of the Eerie Wolf. Its form was shrouded in wisps of ethereal mist that seemed to shift and merge with each movement. Its fur was an eerie combination of deep black and ominous purple, which appeared to flow like darkness. Its black eyes with a silver hue were glowing with a dreadful, otherworldly light, echoing the terror it contained.

The wolfʼs outline seemed to sway in the art as if it were not fully present in the physical world.

It nodded in appreciation since the beast matched the aura it wanted. Huan angrily looked at the creature in his sea of consciousness.

”Stop pouting like a useless nobody. The beast is going to help you only,” The creature commented and then threw Huan out of his own sea of consciousness.

Huan could only complain about it and do nothing. But he also knew that the beast would only benefit him, so he calmed down. Unfortunately, he became enraged again, remembering the dire situation he was in some time ago.

If he had money at that time, he wouldnʼt have faced so much.

”Do you want me to possess you and then walk to the store owner?”

A cold voice rang in Huanʼs voice not long after. He scoffed in response, but he still turned around and walked outside the room.

There was already a large queue before the store owner, so he joined the line, waiting for his turn. While waiting, Huan didnʼt forget to throw his vilest words at the creature in his mind.

The creature simply ignored them since Huan was locked out of his sea of consciousness, and he couldnʼt utter those words loudly in the store. So it was only in his mind, and the creature didnʼt care about that. It also understood the reason for Huanʼs anger, but it had no choice.

The money wasnʼt going to come easy, so it couldnʼt just be used to help Huan get out of a troublesome situation every time he found himself in one.

Time flew by, and several minutes passed in the blink of an eye. It was finally Huanʼs turn.

Seeing the card in Huanʼs hands, Aakesh understood what he wanted to do. Before the awakening of the Soul of Negativity, Huan wasnʼt from a wealthy background, so he was bound to have financial issues in the store.

Aakesh also knew what the creature wanted to trade with the store, and it would be a lie if he said he wasnʼt interested. But still, he was a store owner and needed to be unbiased, so he didnʼt think that Huan would even need to trade that item.

Once it was Huanʼs turn, he wanted to speak but suddenly found the body out of his control. The creature had taken his possession.

Huan could only curse in response to that since he wasnʼt strong enough to take his body back. He just waited for what gave the creature the confidence to buy something like the Eerie Wolf.

”Store owner, I want to trade an item with you.”

In possessed form, Huanʼs voice turned different. It was high-pitched, and whoever listened to it would feel needles pricking their ears. Fortunately, it was as it was and not an attempt to attack, so the system didnʼt react. It only created an invisible energy barrier around Aakeshʼs ears, and he wouldnʼt feel the prickling pain.

”You can trade with the store if you lack Sacred stones, but the store also has a second way to borrow from the store.”

Aakesh informed Huan about the credit card system. Once he had introduced it, Huanʼs face showed a hint of relief since the process was extremely painful.

If not for the boost in strength caused by the Eerie Wolf, it wouldnʼt try to do something like that.

Huanʼs eyes popped out in shock when he saw the number on the card. Even in his dreams, he didnʼt expect his borrowing limit to be that high.

Aakesh wasnʼt surprised by it at all. How could the carrier of the Soul of Negativity have a weak fate?

The creature returned to the sea of consciousness immediately after hearing about the credit card since it no longer needed it. Possession wasnʼt free of charge but drained a large amount of energy. It also looked excited by the borrowing limit on the card.

”How much do you want to borrow?” Aakesh asked. He had already explained the rules about the interest rate, so he now only needed to hear the required amount so that the system could transfer that to Huan.

***

Huan excitedly returned to the beast room. He couldnʼt remove the broad smile from his face at all. His borrowing limit was three billion ultimate Sacred stones, which was a number he couldnʼt even dream of before.

If he had a choice, he wanted to borrow all of it and then run as far as possible. But the creature alerted him against that with a solemn reprimanding tone, and there was also a borrowing limit. Anyone could only ask for one million ultimate Sacred stones in a thousand years.

There was no limit to tenure for borrowing Ultimate Sacred stones from the store, but Huan was shocked by the outrageous interest rate, so he only chose a hundred years for the repayment. Even then, he would need to pay an extra ten million ultimate Sacred stones for the borrowing of only one million stones.

Whatever goodwill Huan had regarding the store and the store owner had disappeared at that point, but since it was his first time holding wealth like that, he couldnʼt help but feel joyous.

Huan walked to the queue for the square device and joined it, waiting for his turn.

He and the creature no longer fought since they were bound to face a battle once they reached the device. The creature was completely confident in Huanʼs victory with its help, but since there could be a situation where it might not be there to help, so the two made different strategies for that kind of situation.

Even though Huan wasnʼt very interested in buying the Eerie Wolf, after seeing the attentiveness of the creature, he was also anticipating the improvement the beast would bring him.

While thinking of different strategies with the creature, his turn finally arrived. He took a deep breath and placed the card in the card compartment and his hand on the respective section.

The next moment, Huan found himself in a different environment. He ignored everything and called for the creature.

”I am here,” The creature responded with a shocked expression.

Hearing that, Huan breathed a sigh of relief. With the creatureʼs help, the difficulty of the battle had been reduced to a great extent. He then focused on himself and the environment.

His cultivation had dropped to the peak of Supreme God, the same as the beast while standing in that environment made him feel irritated for no reason.

”I will possess you immediately after the battle begins. We seemed to have underestimated the beast and the environment.”

The creature commented with a solemn tone. It knew more than Huan, so it could see the exponential improvement the environment would bring to the Eerie Wolf in the battle.

At the same time, Huan would become more and more irritable the more he stayed there. If not for the creature, Huan would have already started shivering due to the horror element in the environment.

The surroundings were ordinary, but the ethereal mist around the area made the situation seem straight out of hell.

Howl!

Suddenly, a wolf howl rang in the area, and when Huan tried to find its source, the howl came from another direction.

The ethereal mist around the area seemed to dance and carried the howling sound in all directions. But not long after, the fog saw an intense movement.

The next moment, a creature walked out of the fog, and it looked the same as the one on the beast card. Huanʼs heart almost skipped its beat as he saw the creature.

It looked majestically terrifying on the card, but the reality expanded that feeling a thousandfold. It was a beast twice his size, but Huan felt as if it was a mountain towering over a planet.

Ding!

The bell rang, announcing the start of the battle. As the creature had said, it immediately possessed Huanʼs body.

It had noticed that its energy reserves in the taming battle were richer than what they were in reality.

The next moment, a pitch-black aura began to engulf Huan, and in no time, Huan had grown to the same size as the beast.

The phenomenon didnʼt happen in the store, as the creature only possessed Huanʼs mind on the basic level. But in the taming battle, it was a full possession, and in that form, Huanʼs strength had grown exponentially.

The beast let out an angry howl and was ready to pounce on its opponent. Its eyes contained nothing but the brutality it was about to unleash on the battlefield.
