The First Store System

Chapter 1562: Hesitation!

Neira helplessly teleported back to the white space after an instant death. She didnʼt even sense the opponentʼs movement and was pierced through her heart.

If not for the calming effect, her heart would still be beating loudly in fright. Soon, she forgot that feeling and returned her focus to the screen before her.

She didnʼt have a masochistic tendency, so she immediately decided against picking any race from the Primordial Dimension. Even though she wouldnʼt die in reality, she would still keep dying. She could see that the gap between her and the opponents from the Primordial Dimension wasnʼt something she could catch up to in hours, so she should focus on becoming strong first and then face them.

Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.

After Neiraʼs twenty hours were over, the system forced her out of the training area. Light returned to her eyes while the golden, transparent barrier around her dissolved.

She didnʼt look good since her gain from the training area was abysmal. She couldnʼt help but think about her future as a spearbearer.

”No, I canʼt give up on the spear,” Neira mumbled after a pause. Her grandfather was also a spear user, so whenever the two would meet, there would be a topic of discussion between them.

If she stopped using spears, that topic would disappear, and the relationship between the two would decline.

Neira walked out of the weapons room and noticed a long queue of several hundred people before the store owner. Since she already had an idea about the next product, she didnʼt walk in that direction but turned to her right and proceeded toward the skill room.

When she walked inside, the familiar scene of numerous murals painted across the wall greeted her. She looked at a few of them and then walked to the counter for Supreme God level skills.

Neira was a metal element user, so she reached for the last shelf in the bottom row while thinking of the element.

When she pulled her hand out, there was a skill card in between her fingers. She read the details, and as luck would have it, she pulled out a great skill on her first try.

Neira could see herself using the skill and causing devastation in her path. Her lips curled up in joy since she liked destruction when she was the one causing it.

She didnʼt need to think much about her decision and chose the skill as her attacking type purchase. She then reached for the last shelf in the second-last row.

Unlike the last time, she didnʼt pull out an amazing skill on her first try. She already had the skill but wasnʼt very fond of it, so she returned it and pulled out a new one.

A few minutes passed in the blink of an eye, and she frustratingly stopped pulling out defensive-type skills. Her fortune seemed to have stopped favoring her after the beast and the attacking type skill. She pulled out hundreds of defensive skills related to the element of metal in that span of a few minutes, but not even one was good, let alone satisfactory for her.

After deciding to give up on defensive-type skills, Neira moved upward and reached for the middle shelf.

In her third attempt, she found an overwhelmingly satisfactory movement-type skill for herself. She suddenly had an idea and reached for the last shelf in the defensive row, and after finding that her fortune with the defensive type skills remained terrible, she no longer cared about it.

Neira then reached for the last shelf in the second top row, and as luck would have it, she pulled out a great skill on her first attempt.

[Name: Stellar Empowerment

Type: Supporting

Level: God

Element: Metal

Effect: Channels metallic energies to empower itself and allies

Description: The skill harnesses the supporting energies of metal to empower itself and allies, bolstering their capabilities on the battlefield. This skill represents the leading form of metal-based support, imbuing themselves and allies with mental and physical resilience and enhanced combat prowess. Their metal element compatibility also grows by a percent.

The skill demands profound understanding and control over the elements of metal. The pressure on the userʼs energy reserves can be significant, requiring caution during the activation.

Price: 7 ultimate and 599,799 supreme Sacred stones.]

There was a wide smile spread across her face after she read the details on the card. The skill already had great empowering ability, but the last sentence in the first paragraph elevated the skill to another level altogether.

Even a small increase in elemental compatibility was a great deal since it always showed exponential enhancements. The skill not only provided that, but the growth was a full one percent.

Even though the growth was only there for the skillʼs active duration, there was no limit to the number of allies she could empower as long as she had sufficient energy reserves. She couldnʼt help but fall immediately in love with the skill.

There was no need to think at all, and she immediately chose the skill as her own. When she saw the price, her lips twitched for a moment, but she forgot about it immediately. Even if the price were ten times higher, she would happily choose it and pay for the skill.

She again had the thought of giving it a try for the defensive type skills, but she decided against it, accepting her terrible fortune when it came to that type and returned her focus to the first row.
