The First Store System

Chapter 922: Richard and Ricardo!

Unaware of the storm the activation of the card machine had caused in the Sacred Dimension, Aakesh was relaxing on his chair.

Time flew by, and several minutes had passed in a flash.

Joator was busy finding a suitable cultivation art for him while Aakesh was relaxing.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh suddenly heard a round of footsteps coming from the door, so he opened his eyes and looked in that direction. He was greeted by an unknown face.

Ricardo was in charge of the hotel on Seventeenth Street that belonged to his family.

Ricardoʼs hotel was one of the many that operated day and night. Ricardo managed it at night, while his elder brother managed it during the day.

Since Ricardo worked at night, the store was closed. He had heard a lot about the store owner, so he wanted to check it out for himself.

Ricardo wasnʼt like other Vurrons, as he celebrated Aakeshʼs killing of Garoun and his underlings. A few years ago, Ricardo had also gotten into a conflict with Garoun, and since his father wasnʼt a Divine Lord like Garoun, Ricardo was the one to take significant losses. From that day on, Garoun had become the most hated figure in Ricardoʼs life.

Since that day, Ricardo had thought of visiting the store, but his father had intervened and told him not to. Ricardo had no choice but to accept his fatherʼs words since he was the family patriarch.

Ricardo had continued accepting his fatherʼs words, but everything changed a few minutes earlier.

Today, Ricardo chose the day shift since his brother had some other tasks to do. Ricardo was relaxing in his office when the hotel receptionist hurried over to him and inquired about a new client.

The customer belonged to the Gutayar race, one of the groups of Demons. The customer being a Gutayar was an issue since Gutayars were native to the Ronar Kingdom.

The general public didnʼt know about the sudden conflict between the two Kingdoms, but everyone knew that the relationship between the two Kingdoms had never been good. No one from either side would travel to the other side unless they were on a diplomatic mission, so the hotel receptionist didnʼt know what to do when he saw a Gutayar customer asking for a room.

When Ricardo heard about the Gutayar customer, he ordered his receptionist to bring the man to his office.

Since the man was only an early Divine Transformation while even the receptionist was an intermediate Divine Transformation, Ricardo didnʼt fear for his safety. Even if the receptionist lost, he still had himself, a Divine Transformation level cultivator at the pinnacle of his abilities.

The Gutayar in question was none other than Richard, who had been struggling to find a room to stay in due to his descent from the Ronar Kingdom.

This hotel wasnʼt the first one he came across, so Richard had already gotten numb from rejection.

Richard didnʼt cause chaos after the receptionist told him to go and meet the boss. First, he was only an early Divine Transformation level cultivator, and second, he was in the hostile Kingdom. If he somehow fell into the unkind eyes of the natives, his result would be no better. As for the store coming to his rescue, Richard had no such grand hopes in his heart.

”Why are you here?” Ricardo asked in a stringent tone as soon as the Gutayar entered the room.

If the Gutayar were a spy and Ricardo gave shelter to him, even he wouldnʼt be left alone by the Kingdomʼs law enforcement.

”I came here for a store,” Richard sincerely answered. Since the store was in public and not open to a few, there was no point in hiding it.

”What store?”

”The First Store, owned by the non-demon,” Richard answered. His tone had turned respectful when he referred to Aakesh as the ”non-demon.”

”Oh!” A sense of curiosity rose in Ricardoʼs heart as he had been hoping to enter that store. ”What does the store have that forced you to come this far?” He asked, not hiding the curiosity on his face.

Richard didnʼt hide anything and informed Ricardo about the storeʼs products. As for the history, he didnʼt feel it was his place, so he kept that part in his heart.

”Really, a world where not only can I earn money but also grow strong without any fear of death!” Ricardo exclaimed in shock after learning about Panagea.

Richard nodded in response to Ricardo since it was his first time talking with the hotelʼs boss. The other hotels straightaway refused him the rooms. If Richard wanted to stay, he needed a room since he couldnʼt remain homeless in a hostile country.

”How did you find out about the store?” Ricardo suddenly asked. It didnʼt make sense that someone from another Kingdom knew about the store, and an ascender at that.

A thought about the store owner also being an ascender rose in his mind, but he soon pushed the idea into oblivion since it didnʼt make any sense.

”I had an artifact that called me,” Richard replied. He wasnʼt lying since the supreme store card brought him here.

Time flew by.

”You can live here, but remember that if your story doesnʼt match with the actual store products, then I will hand you over to law enforcement,” Ricardo warned, as the responses from Richard helped him make up his mind to check out the store.

Richard couldnʼt help but heave a relieved sigh after hearing Ricardo. The significant step of finding the settlement was complete.

Staying in the hotel cost one lesser Sacred stone per room, so Richard handed thirty lesser Sacred stones to Richard, booking the room for thirty days.

After hearing Richardʼs responses, Ricardo was here, standing at the entrance of the store.

As he raised his foot to step inside the store, his fatherʼs warning came to his mind. Ricardo took a deep breath and stepped inside, ignoring the warning.

If what Richard said was the truth, then he had done a great deed for not only himself but also his family by coming to the store.

Soon after Ricardoʼs foot landed in the store, his surroundings changed, and he found himself inside the building.
