The First Store System

Chapter 920: A Tragic News!

”You can exchange currency from here, but if you want to take out other items, you need to enter Panagea or own any of the three store cards,” Aakesh told Richard after talking with the system.

Richard heaved a relieved sigh after hearing Aakesh. ”Thank you, store owner,” Richard hurriedly told him with a respectful bow.

Aakesh didnʼt speak in response and gestured to Richard to get on with it.

Richard took a deep breath and summoned the window. The next moment, a blue screen appeared in front of him.

The screen was rectangular in shape, with a line dividing it into two sections. The right section contained information about his wealth in Soul stones, while the left part asked Richard for the amount he wanted to debit out.

Richard already had an amount in mind, so he thought of it in his head. The next moment, that sum appeared on the left part of the screen. At the same time, a golden button also appeared below the sum.

Richard already knew what to do, so he tapped the golden button. The next moment, the screen dissolved, and a small portal the size of a football took its place.

Not long after, the portal began to throw out stones. The stones didnʼt fall to the ground, but they started floating next to Richard.

Richard patiently waited, and soon a sum of eight hundred lesser Sacred stones came out of the portal.

It was the ninety-nine percent wealth of Richard in Panagea. Since Richard wasnʼt going to give up on Panagea, he didnʼt take out the total and left some for unannounced emergencies.

Eight hundred lesser Sacred stones wasnʼt a large sum when compared with the store prices. If he only entered Panagea and ignored other store products, he would still have to spend thirty-five lesser Sacred stones every day.

But still, it would help Richard at least settle for more than two weeks, so it was better than having to wait for some days to enter Panagea.

As for how Richard would sustain himself, he would have to think hard about that.

”Thank you, store owner!” Richard once again thanked Aakesh as he placed the sum in his pouch.

”I will return tomorrow, store owner,” Richard said and turned to leave. Richard could see the people already waiting for Panagea, and Aakesh had already told him that there were only three virtual portals currently available in the store.

Richard had long gotten used to it. In the Primal Dimension, the competition was between millions of customers; in comparison to that, this queue was nothing.

Richard decided to return early tomorrow at sunrise and fight for Panageaʼs spot. He also needed to find a residence for himself since he couldnʼt just go back to his previous city. That was neither something he wanted nor could afford.

Aakesh only nodded since he could see that Richard didnʼt have enough wealth to splurge on other products.

Aakesh then closed his eyes since no other previous customer from the Primal Dimension had teleported to the store. Only Richardʼs good fortune allowed him to stay within the teleportation limit.

***

Elasha was one of the earliest customers of the store due to her granddaughter Lenna finding the store in its early days. It helped Elasha at least have a meaningful relationship with Aakesh by having to enter the store when there werenʼt long lines waiting.

Before ascending, she had even conversed with Aakesh about it, and he was one of the primary reasons behind her ascendance.

After ascending, entering the store was not a possibility, but Aakesh had told her that he would also ascend in the near future. So even if Aakesh ascended a thousand years later, she would only have to wait a year in the Sacred Dimension.

Elasha came from a race that was already settled in the Sacred Dimension. So not long after ascending, she found her way back to the clan of Moonlight Elves.

Moonlight Elves were a branch of the Moon Elves, similar to how Sunlight Elves were a branch race of the Sun Elves.

The Sun Elves and the Moon Elves stood on the same pedal in the Sacred Dimension, as they were the only two Elf races to be top races.

Elasha learned after ascending that her husband, who had long since ascended, had died in a battle, which shattered her. The fact that she would finally meet her husband after such a long time contributed significantly to her decision to ascend, so when she learned of his passing, she was traumatized.

Since the husband had made valuable contributions and died in a battle with the enemy race for the Moon Elves, the Moonlight Elves took great care of Elasha, who was the closest relative to the husband. The race gave her several valuable resources that no other ascended Moonlight Elf could even hope to receive after ascending.

Unfortunately, Elasha was in no mental state to cultivate, so the resources only got stored in her space ring.

Like that, days had passed, and Elasha had given up on everything. She would stay in a closed room all day, looking at the weapon left by her dead husband.

Elasha always believed that life and death were nothing but rules, so after cultivating and living for so long, she wouldnʼt lose herself completely if someone she knew died. But her thoughts were proven wrong. She was living fine knowing that her husband was alive and well in the Sacred Dimension, even though the two couldnʼt converse for hundreds of thousands of years.

The state Elasha was in was no different than that time since she still wouldnʼt be able to talk to him. Elasha tried to coax her heart with this statement several times, but the loss of hope that she would never be able to do that in the future shattered her.

Today was like every other day since she got the news. Elasha still looked beautiful as ever due to her features. Her body had become thin, and her eyes had sunken while there was no light in them. They looked the same as a dead person.

The inhabitants of the Sacred Dimension could live for eternity, but they werenʼt invulnerable. If the body didnʼt get nutrients, it would die. It would take a longer time, but it would happen.
