Chapter 241: Evolution Herb

After deciding to take the quest, Aakesh turned around and went to Mark(The name of the Townhead), who was talking to some stranger.

After seeing Aakesh coming toward him, Mark ordered the man to leave and waited for Aakesh.

”I will do this quest,” Aakesh expressionlessly told Mark and handed him the mission scroll.

The Mark nodded and took the mission scroll. The next moment, a shocked expression appeared on his face when he read the contents of the mission.

Since Aakesh didnʼt even leak a little bit of his energy, Mark didnʼt know what level Aakesh was at? So, when he read that Aakesh accepted the quest where he needed to kill several beings around Level 40, it took a while for him to believe it.

”Are you sure you want to do this mission?” Mark asked after calming down.

Aakesh expressionlessly nodded.

”Since youʼre confident, you can do the quest,” Mark responded after seeing Aakesh showing no signs of fear.

The moment Mark accepted Aakesh as the inheritor of the quest, a new blue screen appeared in front of him.

[Brave Adventurer, the town of Wolfden, needs your help!

Adventurer, your actions of saving Wolfden by killing all the radicals had brought another danger to Wolfden. The guild Netherstorm has sent one Level 50, two Level 43, seven Level 41, and ten Level 40 to kill every last citizen and destroy the town.

Join the Townhead and hunt every last of them before they can bring harm to this town.

If you successfully save the town, your reward would be an increase of three levels. May you be victorious!***]

It was the same contents Aakesh had read before, but suddenly his eyes caught three stars shining at the end of the detail. It was new, so Aakesh thought of what it was, and the next moment, a new blue screen appeared in front of him.

[Adventurer, if you kill the Level 50 leader, you would be eligible for the bonus reward of two more levels.]

Aakeshʼs eyes shined, seeing the details on the new blue screen. It was a surprise for him. If he were to succeed in completing the quest while also killing the leader, he would gain a boost of five levels.

An increment of five levels would make him a Level 37 being. If Aakesh reached that level, he was confident of killing the wolf king without even a sweat.

While Aakesh looked at the invisible air, Mark didnʼt disturb him since he knew about the quest screen.

Mark had no idea about the bonus reward. In the event he knew, he wouldnʼt let Aakesh kill the leader. The system of Panagea was fair, so for every action, there was a reaction.

By killing the Level 50 leader, Mark would not only save Wolfden, but he would also receive a reward, as it was also a quest for him. His reward for killing the leader was an evolution herb that would give him a 25% chance to evolve to an Epic lifeform.

If he were to evolve to an Epic lifeform, he wouldʼve to leave Wolfden since the protection field around the town would throw him out. But for him, the town held no value in comparison to evolving. It was also the reason he accepted the quest and was willing to fight a Level 50 opponent.

After reading the details of the quest, Aakesh thought of the screens disappearing, and the next moment, both the screens disappeared.

It wasnʼt the end as immediately after, a new blue window appeared in front of him. Soon, the map of Wolfden and the area around it appeared on the map.

Around thirty yojanas (240 miles) away from the town, there were twenty red dots on the map. Aakesh knew these were the guild members of the Netherstorm guild, and the darkest red dot denoted the Level 50 leader.

The next moment, right above the blue window, a countdown timer appeared. It was a simple timer, and it only showed six days.

It meant the group would attack Wolfden in six days.

The map has also appeared in front of Mark. He couldnʼt help but heave a sigh of relief, seeing there were still six days left before they would attack.

Mark knew they would first try to find out the situations around the town as the killing of the group of radicals was unheard of, so they must have thought of only initiating the mission after having all the information.

Since Mark still had six days left, he could better prepare for the battle that was to come. He couldnʼt miss the evolution herb at any cost.

Aakesh, on the other hand, had a different idea. He wanted to hunt them right away so that when he faced the wolf king tomorrow, its chances of surviving the battle would get almost zero.

”Letʼs leave!”

”Letʼs prepare for-”

Both Aakesh and Mark spoke simultaneously. Hearing Aakesh, Markʼs words came to a sudden halt.

”You want to leave right now?” Mark asked in shock as he thought he had heard wrong.

Aakesh expressionlessly nodded and responded, ”I donʼt have much time. Letʼs end this nuisance today.”

Mark looked at Aakesh in more shock. He was going to respond, but he suddenly noticed that Aakesh had no interest in his response, and he had already turned around to leave.

”Just, what level are you?” Mark asked with a hint of anger and shock.

”You donʼt need to know,” Aakesh expressionlessly responded and stepped forward to leave the house.

If it were before Aakesh knew about the bonus reward, Aakesh wouldʼve tried to listen to Mark, but now that he could gain an increase of two more levels if he killed the leader, how could he care for Mark?

As for the issue of the leader being a Level 50, Aakesh didnʼt care. If he was confident of killing the wolf king without even the increase of five levels, he didnʼt think a human was worth anything.

Mark, seeing Aakesh, not caring what he had to say and leaving, had no idea what to say. Noticing Aakesh had almost reached the door, he had no choice but to follow him.

The system had designed the quest for only two people, so Mark couldnʼt ask any of his guards to follow him to the battle.

Aakesh asked the system for the time, and it was still more than thirty minutes left for the sun to rise in Visteerna.
