The First Store System

Chapter 203: Reunion

Aakesh decided to forego the store upgrading quest for now and focus on the current issues instead.

It has been many days since he had met Lily. Also, he needed to apologize to her for leaving her in a time-freeze while he set up and enjoyed the event. If Lily were here, she wouldʼve liked it, and it wouldʼve been a source of enjoyment for her.

After remembering Lily, he didnʼt wait for a second and rushed to the portal room. He entered the first virtual portal he came across, and the next moment, he disappeared from the store.

The next moment, he appeared inside a hotel room.

The city of Wolfden wasnʼt as busy as it earlier used to be. Instead, the whole town had a serene atmosphere.

The serene atmosphere instead of relaxing everyone gave the impression that tragedy had struck. The losses the town faced due to the radicals proved to be too much.

It would take months, if not years, for the town to get over it and regain its buzzing environment.

Although Aakesh knew he was to blame for the incident, he didnʼt regret it. He did what he thought to be the best, and his plan worked. It may have caused more casualties than expected, but thatʼs life.

In his first quest, he had saved several lives, while in the second quest, his hastiness cost several lives.

After exiting the hotel room, he rushed in the direction of the jungle.

While running, he decided to see the only quest he currently had on his hands.

The next moment, a blue window containing the details of the quest in golden fonts appeared in front of him.

[Brave Adventurer, you have already saved the town of Wolfden once, but it seems it needs your service again!

You killed so many wolves that it would take at least five years for the silver wolves to create their horde again, and the wolf king also knew this. But it seems the wolf king had found a way to build a powerful race of silver wolves without having the ability to manipulate energy.

There is a high-level bloodline currently roaming in the jungle, and the wolf king has decided to take that creatureʼs help to create super wolves.

Adventurer, you need to prevent this from happening by either killing the high-level bloodline owner and stopping the wolf king from creating super wolves, or by killing the wolf king, or by finding a way to stop it. Otherwise, the town of Wolfden will lose innocent civilians.

Your reward would depend on the result of the mission. May you be successful!]

He nodded after reading the quest. He then waved his hands, and the quest window disappeared.

”Status,” He called in his mind since he was still several minutes away from reaching the jungle.

The next moment, a blue screen with golden fonts appeared in front of him, containing all his details.

Personal Status:

Name: Aakesh,

Race: [*****],

Lifeform: Ordinary,

Class: None,

Level: Level 20,

Physical attributes:

Agility: 51 (+20),

Intelligence: -0-,

Endurance: -0-,

Comprehensions: Hand fighting (100%), Archery (100%), Swordsmanship (100%)...

Skills: Wolfbane, Ability-Learning.

”Iʼm still very weak for the wolf king,” Aakesh mumbled with a sigh, seeing his level.

The wolf king was a Level 50 beast, and he has currently only reached Level 20.

Even though he could easily defeat beings having higher levels than him, the gap of thirty levels was still something he couldnʼt clear.

”Hey, system, whatʼs the probability of me surviving in a battle against the wolf king?” He suddenly asked the system.

[Ten percent!]

”Eh!” Aakesh couldnʼt help but exclaim after getting the systemʼs response.

He expected the system to say that he would die in no time, but the system gave an unexpected answer.

Ten percent may seem almost equal to dying, but still, the probability of him surviving against a Level 50 creature was a miracle.

The jungle started appearing in his sight, so he increased his speed.

Finally, after reaching the inner area of the jungle, he stopped three hundred meters away from the wolfʼs area.

”Hey, system, contact Lily,” He ordered the system.

Aakesh knew he was breaking the rule set by the system in Panagea, but he didnʼt care. Whatʼs the point of being the master of the system when you canʼt even break the rules set by it?

[Okay, Host!]

If it were some other time, the system wouldʼve tried to argue against Aakeshʼs order, but this time it didnʼt. It knew how much Lily meant to Aakesh, and he would never listen to whatever the system tried to speak.

”Aakesh!”

The next moment, the childlike voice of Lily rang inside his head.

”Where are you?” Aakesh asked.

”Playing with cubs.”

”Why did you come so late?”

Before Aakesh could apologize, Lilyʼs question rang inside his head. From the fluctuation in her voice, he could feel the mix of expressions she had.

”I wanted to see how much you miss me?” joked Aakesh.

”Hmph…, why would I miss you?” Lily scoffed in response.

”Whatʼs going on with the wolf king?” Aakesh asked. The joking tone he had a moment earlier disappeared, and instead, his voice had turned calm.

Time flew by, and hours passed. After knowing about the actions of the wolf king, Aakesh apologized for making Lily stay in a time-freeze. He also promised to make some concessions for her in the real world.

Lily may be demanding, but she was his own blood, so he spoiled her as much as possible.

Talking to Lily after so long made his mood better. He then turned around to leave when he suddenly sensed someone behind him.

A surprised expression appeared on his face as he found none other than the wolf king staring at him.

He didnʼt get tensed up and got ready to fight right away, but for some reason, the wolf king turned around and left.

”It must be the privilege of being an adventurer,” Aakesh murmured as only this reason seemed reasonable for the wolf king to leave him. He asked the system, and what he thought proved to be correct.

For the protection of the adventures in the first town, the higher level creatures didnʼt attack them unless provoked.
