Chapter 224: Skills and Upgrades

The surprise didnʼt seem to end for Aakesh as he noticed an addition of a few skills in the skill section.

The first skill was Wolfbane. He had won it after as a bonus reward for completing his first quest exceptionally.

Aakesh noticed the skill was shining brighter than usual on the status screen, so Aakesh tapped on it.

The next moment, an additional blue screen containing the details of the skill appeared in front of him.

[Skill name: Wolfbane,

Level: Level 2,

Ability: It gives the user a psychological edge over the wolves. No mental effect of wolves below Level 25 would occur on the user, and similarly, the wolves below Level 10 will fear the user, wolves below Level 25 have only a minimal effect, and wolves between Level 25 and 40 may or may not get affected by the user,

Condition of growth: Train the skill to perfection.]

The skill, Wolfbane had automatically gotten upgraded even though the condition for the growth was to train it. Aakesh hadnʼt used the skill at all since he found it to be a waste of time.

”What a waste of time!” He commented since the skill was still disappointing. Aakesh himself was Level 30, and even without this skill, wolves below Level 25 wouldnʼt be able to intimidate him. It also would have no effect on the wolf king since the maximum level Aakesh had a chance to scare was Level 40, while the wolf king was a Level 50 creature.

Aakesh also believed that he could kill Level 40 beings without much effort with these attributes.

He could even survive a few direct attacks of the wolf king with 2000 HP. He still wouldnʼt challenge it since surviving attacks and defeating them were two entirely different things. He wouldnʼt fight a battle where he has a chance to get defeated, and in this case, his defeat was imminent since the wolf king was not only a Level 50 creature but also it was on the verge of evolving to Epic lifeform.

As for Lily, he didnʼt worry about her since he was already far ahead of the schedule he had planned for the quest due to the boost of 10 levels provided by Watcher. Before gaining the class, he needed around a week in the actual world time to defeat the wolf king, but now that he had gained so many levels, he believed he would have enough power to challenge the wolf king in the upcoming three-four days.

Since these were matters for the future, Aakesh put them on the back of his mind. Instead, he was curious about why the skill, Wolfbane, upgraded on its own when he hadnʼt fulfilled the requirement.

He then waved his hands, and the skill screen disappeared. He then focused on the status screen and noticed that the skill, Ability-Learning, was also shining brightly.

He didnʼt wait and tapped on it. The next moment, another blue window containing the details of the skill appeared in front of him.

[Skill name: Ability-Learning,

Ability: It allows the user to copy the witnessed skills of being weaker or defeated by the owner. The user can now use the copied skill three times,

Level: Level 2,

Condition of the growth: Finding the Level 3 knowledge,

Copied skill: Sword-Projection, Elephant-Projection, Sword-Flash….]

Aakesh couldnʼt help but get surprised, seeing the details. ”Finally, something good,” He muttered.

Earlier, he could use the copied skill only once, but now the number had grown to three times. He also noticed that the condition of growth had changed. Earlier, he needed to find Level 2 knowledge, but now he needs to find Level 3 knowledge.

He noticed the copied skill, Sword-Projection, he had once used to test the power in the Mysterious peak, wasnʼt greyed out anymore, denoting that Aakesh could use it for three more times. He then also noticed thousands of skills in the copied skill sections.

He couldnʼt help but feel surprised since these were all the skills the participants had used in the events. The skills belonged to only those whom Aakesh could beat without the help of the system.

There wasnʼt even a single skill the likes of Ivanar, Shalia, George used, let alone someone like Elasha.

”Hey, system, did the class, Watcher, automatically upgrade my skills without me fulfilling the condition?” He asked the system before trying to check the details of the new skills he had gained.

[Yes, Host! Itʼs the benefits of the Unique classes. If you were to decide someday that you need another class, and if that future class wouldnʼt be unique, the level of the skills would regress back by one level.]

The system answered in its mechanical and emotionless voice.

Aakesh nodded after hearing the systemʼs explanation. He then focused on the status screen to check out the details of the class-related skills he had gained.

The screen containing the detail of the skill, Ability-Learning, was still floating and obstructing Aakeshʼs view, so he waved his hands, and the next moment, it disintegrated into nothingness.

He then focused on the status screen and noticed the addition of several skills.

The first skill his eyes fell on was Universal-Eye. He tapped on it, and the next moment, its details appeared on a new screen.

[Skill name: Universal-Eye,

Ability: Itʼs a skill unique to the class, Watcher. It allows the owner of the skill to select any being in the area of 10 Yojanas around them, and then they can watch over any actions, with the person being unaware,

Level: Level 1,

Condition of the growth: Upgrade of the class Watcher to Mythical,

Restriction: The level of the watched being shouldnʼt exceed the level of the owner by more than ten levels.]

Aakesh nodded after reading the details of the skill.

It was the primary skill of the class, Watcher, since it allowed him to watch over any being who didnʼt exceed his level by ten levels.

He then waved his hands and began checking the details of other skills he had gained due to the class Watcher.

After learning the details of the skill, Fortune-Eye, he couldnʼt help but curl his lips.. The combination of Universal-Eye and Fortune-Eye had the power to make him an overpowered character in Panagea.
