Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 821: Chapter 345: Entangled Combat

At this moment, the headquarters of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, with pipes covering the surface of the building, is rarely operating at full capacity. One Special Level combatant after another plugs into the brain-machine interface, and their consciousness instantly appears a thousand miles, ten thousand miles, or even on another hemisphere, then downloads into another advanced combat mechanism, emerging from somewhere.

As the only combat division among the Six Ministries, this does not mean that other departments lack experts, but rather indicates that the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division itself is an operational mechanism specifically intended for special operations.

In other departments, it’s completely impossible to accomplish a global action plan in just three or four days.

From the First Division to the Tenth Division, all were dispatched.

Currently, in a high-density, dilapidated district similar to the Kowloon Walled City, some floors within are occupied by Turing Priests who are chanting electronic spells and performing high-frequency ritual dances, surrounded by a layer of Personality Chips.

Suddenly, the entire district, covering thousands of square kilometers, dimmed building by building, as if experiencing a massive blackout.

No, it’s not just a blackout; even the surrounding Sensory Signals have been drained. For ordinary people, this is not impactful because they are the signal emitters. However, for some interconnected equipment, it’s undoubtedly a direct 404 shutdown, rendering all network-required operations unfeasible.

In the area occupied by Turing Priests, the Personality Chips emitted ’krak’, ’krak’ sounds, as if the souls of artificial intelligence were in agony.

Those Turing Priests turned pale or flushed, clutching their throats as if deprived of air.

”Check the water meter, check the water meter, open the door to check the water meter!”

The door was kicked open with a ’bang’, and a fierce young man strode inside, his gaze predatory like a tiger or leopard. Behind him on the stairs lay the bodies of Turing Priests, all appearing to have been smashed to pieces by a Heavy Hammer.

”Allow me to introduce myself, Minister of the Sixth Division of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, Forest Leopard. By the way, I’m the number one fighter of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division. Who wants to spar with me?”

...

During the ’Global Missionary Voyage’ of the Turing Sect, on an island it once docked, an intense earthquake suddenly occurred over an area covering 50,000 square kilometers. It was as if strong undercurrents beneath the sea were striking the island’s foundation.

With the impact comparable to a magnitude 10 earthquake, cracks formed on the island’s surface, and ancient text resembling a program emerged from the ground, emitting strange radiance. However, the surroundings were empty, with no trace of enemies.

No enemies, then no matter how bizarre the methods, they were ineffective.

On the island, several 50-level tech missionaries transitioned from rage to zeal, then from zeal to despair. Until the island split into pieces, and mountain-sized fragments were swallowed by the Dark Tide, they still didn’t see any enemies.

Meanwhile, in the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division’s Fourth Combat Division, the Celestial Weapon Division, a refined long-haired woman held a cup of coffee, listening to her subordinate’s report.

”Captain, we’ve already used Dark Tide Weapons to destroy an important Turing Sect node.”

The woman took a sip of her coffee.

”Hmm, continue unleashing storms, lightning, heavy rain, and remove all nails along the way.”

”Yes, Captain.”

”Also, inform me of the situations in the other combat divisions.”

Upon hearing that the Sixth Combat Division’s Forest Leopard personally charged into the enemy’s stronghold, the woman frowned.

”That idiot Forest Leopard, always doing such brainless things. I think he’ll eventually die from his own recklessness.”

”What do you know, Xiaoi Butterfly? Girls like you hiding in the Mother City playing with mud can’t understand the romance of men fighting fist to fist, cannon to cannon.”

The elegant woman’s face darkened, gritting her teeth:

”Firstly, my name is Xiaoi Hudie, not Xiaoi Butterfly. Secondly, as the captain of the Fourth Combat Division, my ranking among the Ten Divisions is higher than yours. You’d better get this straight, junior!”

”Haha, you two lovebirds should stop arguing, if you want to date, just date, don’t showcase love on the Public Channel.”

”Damn robot, who’s dating him (or her)!”

On the outskirts of the Holy City of Terria, a series of Super Mechanical Bodies were marching over the sea.

Each of these mechanical bodies was at least four hundred meters tall, with densely packed energy cannons, creating an entire moving fort.

Their levels were also high, almost on par with Cybertronians, reaching level 60.

Among these small mechanical mountains, the tallest one smiled as it turned off the communication channel, its expression serious.

”5th Mechanical Legion, prepare to fire!”

The next moment, waves upon waves of Energy Light Pillars engulfed Terria.

Any ancient secrets, religious miracles, or world’s mysteries vanished within this Sea of Light.

The captain of the Fifth Combat Division of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, Mechanical Mountain, also served as the Legion Commander of the Fifth Mechanical Legion, being an old-school Mechanical Martial God himself.

The Fifth Legion also had a nickname, the Cleaner Corps, and wherever these mechanical destroyers passed, the Light Cannons obliterated everything.

It was proven that an underground sect, no matter its origin or number of followers, faces the fate of being crushed into pieces under the relentless operation of official violent machinery.

Turing Sect’s installations around the globe, like downloading deletion software, were massively cleared away.

Yet, not everything went smoothly for the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division.

”The captain of the Third Combat Division is injured, and severely?” Yagami Suuji frowned, and within the holographic projection, a data center was blazing like it was set on fire.

Outside, a group of robots were extinguishing the flames.

”Yes,” one robot, while fighting the fire, awkwardly reported to Yagami Suuji.

”The guy wanted to achieve something big after completing the task Captain Suzi assigned him, to win Miss Ke’s heart. He decided to make a move himself and capture the Turing God.”

”And then he got severely injured?”

”From a technical perspective, yes.”

Yagami Suuji said expressionlessly, ”Then from a technical perspective, as a Super AI, your master really shouldn’t have installed a ’Reproductive System’.”

”Alright, alright, Captain, please just let me go.”

The holographic projection flickered, and a pale-faced middle-aged man appeared, handsome features with particularly conspicuous little mustaches.

This was the count of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, the head of the third Combat Division.

A Super AI with computational power second only to the previous minister.

What was more intriguing was that this count had a peculiar fondness for the exclusive AI of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, Miss Ke.

His life’s goal was to marry Miss Ke and merge the data centers of both families into one.

”Though stupidity might be our captain’s exclusive term, could you please not act stupidly during missions?”

”Haha, next time for sure, next time for sure.”

Yagami Suuji took a deep breath and said:

”Alright, then please describe in detail how you acted stupidly.”

The count stroked his mustache, a hint of shock flashing in his eyes, and said, ”That Turing is really too dangerous. I didn’t even see its main body, just got heavily hit by the ’Namshabu’ virus that erupted from the perimeter. That kind of power has an indescribable suppressive effect on Artificial Intelligence.”

”Currently, it is known that ’Namshabu’ is a Human Brain Virus, with the power to manipulate the human brain and modify programs. Since when has it also had a suppressive effect on Artificial Intelligence? Where’s your electronic firewall?”

”It didn’t work at all, so I had to blow up a data center to directly cut off my data communication with it.”

”Also,” the count hesitated for a moment and said, ”I sensed a very familiar data fluctuation from it.”

”Familiar data fluctuation? Are you trying to tell me who it is?”

The count suddenly laughed and said, ”Chief, I just want to settle down and start a family, not play with my life like you do. I can only say that it is very strong, very strong. Alright, I’m going to rest now, goodbye.”

”A familiar data fluctuation, is it the Fortress,” Yagami Suuji murmured to herself, the hint from the other side was already obvious enough.

And in fact, after this data cult leader devoured eight Big Data Conceptual Bodies, the Fortress had no movement at all, so Yagami Suuji could confirm that the existence behind the Turing God was indeed the Fortress.

’What exactly does this Planet Host want? Could it really have betrayed the Mechanical Split Star?’

Yagami Suuji took a deep breath, making up her mind.

”Miss Ke.”

”I’m here, requisitioning all military group’s sky weapon systems, I need to destroy this fleet.”

”Okay, acquiring... acquisition complete, acquiring Du Gao Technology ’Heaven Net System’s command rights, acquiring... acquiring Tabor Defense System’s ’Giant System’ command rights, acquiring...”

Soon, above the radiation layer, system codes of the Armed Space Stations were rewritten, attack target instructions were approved, and the global surveillance system obtained the coordinates of the ’Doctrine Fleet’.

However, oddly enough, these instructions seemed to also be intercepted by the mysterious Destruction Form No. 3, with that sea fortress as the core, waves of radiance rose one after another.

’Namshabu’

’Namshabu’

’Namshabu’

’Namshabu’

...

The radiance was so strong that it illuminated half the skies, turning the radiation layer into vast golden clouds, golden scales covering half of the celestial base.

’Heaven Net No. 1 signal lost’

’Heaven Net No. 2 signal lost’

’Giant System, Attack Giant signal lost’

...

Suddenly, dozens of Armed Space Stations lost contact.

”Miss Ke, switch to manual operation.”

”Okay, Captain Suzi.”

In the action center of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division, various types of mechanical keyboards appeared, and bio-mechanical arms extended from the mechanical bases, starting manual operations to bypass the signal blocking, directly locating through real-world coordinates.

”Do you need my help?”

A voice that was both ancient and young suddenly appeared.

”Not for the moment.”

”Captain Suzi, a hacker intrusion detected.”

”A hacker actually dares to invade the headquarters of the Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division,” Yagami Suuji almost laughed with anger.

”Tell me, who is it?”

”The erstwhile number one on the wanted list, Terria.”
