Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 344: Chapter 116: Public Welfare Community

”If morality has no limits, this world will fall into complete chaos,” said the Collider with a serious face.

”But if morality is shackled, this world will be pinned at its weakest point.”

Pupil looked strangely at this Modified Robot; it was rare to see the guy so serious.

”But isn’t this a good thing?”

What fell into Pupil’s eyes were clean, tidy streets, pedestrians smiling politely, and faces full of hope.

’Attention visitors, attention visitors!’

’Only those implanted with a Moral Chip qualify to enter Nightless City.’

Three Mechanical Eyeliners tumbled down, blocking the three of them. On the mechanical tentacle, a mechanical claw opened, and an injection needle popped out, just a centimeter away from Pupil’s purple eye.

’Detected higher-level permission, implantation canceled. Have a nice day.’

The mechanical needle retracted, and the three Mechanical Eyeliners ’swished’ and disappeared among the high-rise buildings.

”That’s the problem,” the Collider said calmly. ”If you restrict morality within a certain range, then how do you intend to deal with those outside this circle?”

Upon saying this, the Collider spat directly on the trouser leg of a nearby pedestrian.

However, what shocked young Pupil was that none of the expressions of the people changed, including the person who got spat on, who just smiled, took out a tissue, wiped off the filth, and threw it into the trash can.

”I don’t understand.”

”Disgust breeds anger, anger breeds violence, and violence breeds disaster, so disgust is a dangerous emotion and must be controlled.”

”So no one manages it?”

There is management, very soon, two security robots came over, eyes glowing red, and electronic voices sounded from the speaker.

”Spitter, you will be fined 300 and lectured on Nightless City law.”

”Detected higher-level permission, punishment revoked.”

”You see, that’s how it is.”

”You shouldn’t have done this! You’ve tarnished the reputation of our Ghost in the Shell Mobile Division!” Pupil discontentedly glared at him and turned to look at the other guy. ”Chapai, say something to him too.”

”Hululu, hululu——”

The youth with Black Eye circles named Chapai had actually fallen asleep standing up.

”He’s gone online without saying a word again, damn it! Collider, carry him.”

”Let him stay here, anyway, it’s safe enough,” the Collider unceremoniously picked him up and threw him onto a park bench.

”You go to the Main Brain Area of this Mechanical City to check the data, as for me, I’m going to meet that woman’s lover.”

”Be careful, we’re here to gather information, don’t start fighting right away,” Pupil looked at Chapai worriedly and said in a low voice, ”Hidden Guard, protect this guy.”

’Got it, Captain Pupil,’ three crisp loli voices sounded.

Hidden Guard, the latest model of invisible robot, an all-terrain machine.

At this moment, Chapai is online.

Cyber Space is composed of countless network nodes, which can be online communities, social networks, or even unhealthy websites.

In a physical sense, Nightless City’s Cyber Space is only one, but in essence, it is composed of countless overlapping Virtual Spaces.

Chapai—Mother City hacker, nicknamed Superpowered Chapai.

He is one of the few hackers who can go online without a network access capsule.

This has nothing to do with his hacking skills, but because he is a Superpower User.

And his superpower happens to be very suitable for being a hacker.

His superpower is called ’Virtual Thinking’—the ability to think without using the brain.

This allows him to freely enter different Virtual Spaces.

At this moment, he is in a place called ’Beautiful World,’ a public Welfare Community where the Cyber Race lingers for a long time.

In this place, their fantasies will be materialized, becoming novels, objects, Second Worlds.

Long ago, there was an ancient profession called online writer, but later, after AI intervened, this profession was eliminated.

Practitioners either went to pick up trash or sell themselves.

Later, the Beautiful World replaced the AI writers, and the AI writers became unemployed again.

The Welfare Community of the Cyber Test Field is certainly not one-sided ’welfare distribution.’

On one hand, the Cyber Race lingers within and is unable to extricate themselves.

On the other hand, some emerging enterprises obtain a large amount of free ’human data’ through these public communities, which is evidently more creative than ’human data’ attracted by holographic advertisements.

These public communities are all open-source, even monopoly enterprises cannot monopolize them because this is the territory of the Mechanical Main Brain.

However, when Chapai entered it, he found that a large number of ’Dream Realms’ were destroyed, a large number of ’Second Creations’ destroyed, and a large number of ’Personal Worlds’ compressed and recycled.

After installing the Moral Chip, these things all became ’morally violating’ entities.

And this type of ’illegal data’ will all be recycled by the Illusion Company.

Probably because the ’Cyber Killers’ are in Human Form, these enterprises tend to favor human form when developing antivirus software.

’Beautiful Type IV Defense,’ ’Virtual Type VI Defense,’ ’Deep Guardian,’ ’Regulatory Enforcer’...

The data strength of these antivirus software ranges between Red Wings and Silver Wings, but their technical information is of corporate confidentiality level. Therefore, in some aspects, they are even more troublesome than ordinary cyber assassins.

At this moment, Chapai saw one after another of fantasy girls with varying bust sizes being dragged out by chains, firmly bound, constantly calling out the names of the Cyber Race.

It’s well known that those who don’t socialize are generally kings on the keyboard; without it, their combat power drops sharply, let alone now, when they can’t even log onto the net.

Chapai frowned as he watched this scene.

Monopoly, huh!

Though the evolution of every giant corporation has to go through this process.

But it must be said, the way it’s done looks a bit ugly.

However, as an official person, he cannot arbitrarily interfere with the local artificial data evolution.

Without evolution, without big data monopoly, how can new technology, new ecology, new thinking be born?

It’s just unknown what this ’Illusionary United Corporation’ aims to produce by collecting so much ’moral data’.

”Hmm?”

Chapai suddenly stared at a bubble in the air, sensing an abnormal data fluctuation from it.

As expected, the next moment, heavily armed mechanical beauties descended from the sky, charging into the antivirus software.

Heavy mechanical mechas, large busts, eyepatches, belly, thighs, red lips, in short, full of elements.

Fans of heavy metal among those who don’t socialize are few.

Especially when this one happens to be a hacker.

Clearly, this group of antivirus software has dug out a treasure.

Five or six mechanical beauties charged aggressively, sweeping with long legs, instantly shattering four humanoid software, a display of violent beauty.

A big sister’s mechanical right hand transformed into a drill, furiously sweeping, instantly turning a row of antivirus software into garbled code.

However, the antivirus software also began to retaliate.

Beautiful Defenses spread their arms, with data nets forming, where nodes on the network are hyperlinks, directly teleporting you to corporate data prisons.

Virtual Defenses grabbed those data girls, absorbing them into itself.

Some antivirus software directly transformed into a building, smashing towards these beauties.

These mechanical beauties, realizing the unfavorable situation, each grabbed two to three girls. The back jets burst with data flames, beginning an organized retreat.

Chapai suddenly felt a movement in his expression, his figure vanished and reappeared on another street.

This street was empty, devoid of artificial data, and antivirus software.

’Strange, could it be an illusion?’

After Chapai left, a layer of blue light re-covered the entire street, sweeping out humanoid antivirus software and a large amount of artificial data.

But they all remained motionless, as if frozen.

Two figures emerged from a small alley, dressed in black robes embedded with red eyeballs, which kept moving and blinking occasionally.

”Traitors from the Mother City, how could they be here?” one figure curiously asked.

The other remained silent, staring intently at a girl whose template was the once-popular Asuna: coffee-colored hair, big watery eyes, weariness yet appearing determined—a truly classic figure.

The figure walked straight over.

”Nightmare, doesn’t this remind you of the years when you were part of the Cyber Race, the rotting youth, beautiful illusions, and endearing girls? Ah, I so want to indulge again.”

Nightmare walked opposite to ’Asuna,’ his pitch-black pupils staring straight at her, the next moment, he grabbed the girl’s head, covering it with black personality fluid, and in her despairing gaze, his hand clenched tightly.

The girl disintegrated into flying artificial data.

”Heh heh, heh heh heh...”

Nightmare let out a series of hoarse, unpleasant sharp laughs.

”Tsk tsk, a fully blackened Cyber Race, how terrifying!”

The person wanted to make a few more cheeky comments when suddenly the visual collector was severely disturbed, black mosaic flickering, as if everything was melting.

”Hey hey, just kidding, we’re all from the same organization, this time the target is Mechanic, hey hey hey, my carefully collected personality fragments!!”

A series of teeth-grinding chewing sounds erupted, and large amounts of data flesh transformed into source code.

...

”You’re looking for my boss, but the boss isn’t here.”

Looking at the NPC in front of him full of blood-red question marks, Baozi wore an alert expression.

”Not here,” Collider sneered, rudely pushing the door open, looking around: ”Let me see, hiding? I despise this kind of pretty boy who relies on rich ladies to eat!”

”Hey hey, what are you doing!?”

Baozi quickly pressed the alarm button, and a few mechanical eyeliners flew in and then quickly slipped away.

Damn, even the official robots bully the weak and fear the strong.

”I heard you were looking for me?”

Just as Collider was about to turn the entire shop upside down, a voice sounded eerily.

”It’s you I’m looking for!” Collider, nearly three meters tall, suddenly whipped around, his teeth seemingly sparking metal.
