Not Being a Trainer This Time

”Gaaow!”

”That’s the milk produced by the Gogoats on my ranch,” Naoki explained to Mayor Thomas.

Mayor Thomas immediately thought of the expensive goat milk sold in the town.

His aged face was full of disbelief.

”What exactly is going on here?”

”It’s probably Calyrex’s power!” Naoki took a deep breath, ”Calyrex blessed my ranch, so that the milk produced by the Gogoats is blessed by nature. It can help Pokemon recover stamina and even heal the most serious of injuries.”

In other words, Life Sheep Milk can violently extend the lifespan of Pokemon whose life spans have been reduced due to injuries.

”That kind of milk actually has such effects...” Mayor Thomas murmured, full of disbelief.

Meanwhile, the Cyclizar mom, who had recovered, was already in a tight embrace with Cyclizar.

Nearby, Koraidon watched with great envy. It too wanted to snuggle up to its mom, but thinking of its current state, it couldn’t help but hesitate.

Watching this scene, Naoki was full of emotion.

What can one say?

Pokemon are such strong yet fragile creatures.

They possess powerful strength and are naturally endowed with unparalleled combat abilities.

But no matter how strong they are, like humans, they are ordinary lives living in this world.

Moderate battles can enhance their strength, honing their physique.

But once battles become excessive, or if they sustain severe injuries, it will consume their lifespan, leading to early demise.

Not only Alder’s Volcarona, but many trainers in the world are facing such situations.

Such a thing happened to the former Champion Mustard of the Galar Region.

In his early years, he was an undefeated Champion.

But due to years of fierce battles, his partner Pokemon left this world early.

After that, Mustard’s condition began to decline, and his undefeated record was broken.

At this moment, the Cyclizar, having calmed down, turned its head but suddenly noticed Koraidon dazing off beside it.

Koraidon’s eyes were a bit moist, seemingly having cried earlier as well.

Seeing this, Cyclizar’s face was full of confusion.

”Gaaow?” (Why are you crying too?)

Koraidon: ”...”

Koraidon didn’t want to answer.

Cyclizar was even more puzzled, staring at Koraidon, yet unable to make heads or tails of it.

At this moment, Mayor Thomas had already started expressing gratitude to Naoki.

He was already very concerned about the health of his old buddy. When Miss Joy mentioned it was close to its end, Mayor Thomas was so distressed that he had several sleepless nights.

And now, seeing Cyclizar gradually recovering, the old man’s heart finally felt at ease.

He wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes, his voice filled with emotion, ”I don’t know what to say, but thank you so much this time, Naoki.”

”It’s nothing,” Naoki smiled and shook his head, ”When I first came here, you also helped me a lot.”

Talking about this matter, Mayor Thomas couldn’t help but break into a smile:

”There was no real help; it was all your efforts, managing that abandoned ranch and putting it in order, even surpassing your grandfather. If that old man could see how the ranch has transformed, he would be overjoyed.”

Naoki smiled gently.

Mayor Thomas wanted them to stay for lunch, but Naoki, thinking about Jirachi, politely declined the invitation.

After bidding farewell, he returned to the ranch with Koraidon and Cyclizar.

Yet as soon as Naoki got home, he saw chaos over at the Berry Garden.

Even a few berry trees had fallen to the ground.

Seeing this, Naoki was utterly confounded.

What happened? Could it be that a wild Pokemon broke into the ranch?

He hurriedly took Koraidon and Cyclizar over to check.

Upon arriving, he found Indeedee and Butterfree had already arrived there ahead of him, even the three Gogoats had come to the scene.

These Pokemon were angrily looking at the Pokemon bound by Vine Whip lying on the grass.

It was an ape-like Pokemon, predominantly yellow and white, with brown stripes on its back, and a tuft of orange hair on its head.

Naoki was slightly taken aback.

The name of that Pokemon instantly popped into his mind.

Vigoroth?

At this moment, Indeedee and Butterfree also noticed Naoki’s arrival.

The group of Pokemon turned around and angrily complained to Naoki about the behavior of this Pokemon.

”Ai!” (This rascal knocked down several berry trees!)

”Fwee!” (It even tried to attack us!)

”Bwee!” (So annoying!)

Naoki suddenly felt a headache.

The Slakoth sleeping in his orchard evolved into a Vigoroth.

He looked at the Vigoroth, and even though its body was bound by Gogoat’s Vine Whip, it was still struggling hard, making ”huff huff” sounds from its throat.

It looked like it was about to jump up and hit someone in a fit of rage.

Naoki stepped forward, trying to communicate with it, ”Vigoroth? Do you still recognize me?”

Vigoroth seemed eager to move.

It recognized this human; he was the one who rescued it from the forest fire years ago.

It wanted to nod, but the boiling blood in its body didn’t allow it to sit still for even a minute, just wanting to jump up and cause a commotion.
