Not Being a Trainer This Time

Thinking about his earlier doubts regarding this human and the three Pokemon, Absol turned his head away somewhat embarrassed.

But now, compared to itself, Jirachi’s matter seemed much more important.

”Ooao.” (Then I’ll leave it to you.)

Seeing the successful reunion of the Heroic Expedition Team and Absol, Naoki finally eased his mind slightly.

”Then you guys go ahead; I need to study methods to keep Jirachi awake in the meantime. If anything happens, contact me,” he said.

”Ehm!”

Teddiursa responded happily and then hung up the phone.

To avoid attracting attention, Mew used the Poke Ball to capture Zapdos inside.

It transformed itself into the appearance of a Swablu, riding on Absol’s back along with Teddiursa, under the navigation of Phone Rotom, heading towards the venue of the Pokemon Amusement Park.

Meanwhile, Naoki walked out of the house, observing the playful Pokemon in the pasture thoughtfully.

As far as he knows, the world doesn’t hold just one Jirachi.

But whether it’s the Jirachi in Forina or elsewhere, they all keep the eco-habit of sleeping for a thousand years and waking for seven days.

Of course, not every Jirachi needs to absorb energy from a millennial comet.

This Jirachi in the Forina Region is very special; it absorbs Natural Energy not for itself, but to nurture the entire Forina Land.

Moreover, as seen from the movie, Jirachi doesn’t directly grant wishes as the rumors outside suggest.

Its ability is more about relocating items; when a wisher wants endless food, Jirachi uses Psychic powers to transfer food from elsewhere.

Therefore, wishing directly for Jirachi to not sleep won’t work.

Naoki walked forward, through the small path in the pasture, arriving at the lake connected to the Reversed World.

Then he crossed the lake and went to the Reversed World, reaching the front of the World Tree unhindered.

Naoki didn’t climb up but stood on the Sky Island at the bottom, lost in thought.

Would the cuisine made from the leaves of the World Tree be effective for Jirachi?

Back when the World Tree hadn’t fully grown, he once used the leaves to make a dish named Leaf Cake.

That dish had three effects.

Namely: permanently increasing Grass Type Move’s power by 25%, shortening the crop growth period when Grass Type Pokemon use Grass Energy to cultivate crops, and the final one which only affects him as the Master of the World Tree.

And just as Naoki was deep in thought, an extraordinary scene happened.

The World Tree in front seemed to have sensed his thoughts, and suddenly a green light shone brightly atop its huge canopy.

In the glow, two leaves emitting a gentle radiance floated down, landing right in front of Naoki.

Naoki was slightly startled.

He looked down, and the next second, the information of those two leaves emerged in his mind.

[Leaf of Awakening: Leaves with miraculous effects, when used to make cuisine, they can keep certain specific Pokemon awake without needing sleep.]

[Leaf of Life: Leaves of the World Tree, rich in Natural Energy, when placed somewhere, can nurture the local ecological environment, making it lush and beautiful.]

?

Seeing these two leaves fall before him, Naoki was slightly stunned.

He then looked up in disbelief at the World Tree before him.

Could it be... the World Tree is helping him?

From what he knew, there seems to be a Natural Will within this world...

And the Power of Viridian is the manifestation of this Natural Will.

Nature bestows this power upon the chosen human.

After pondering for a while, Naoki roughly guessed the current situation in his heart.

The Natural Will of the World Tree sensed his current troubles, thus actively helping him!

Is this the effect of the ”Master of the World Tree”?

Awe-inspiring indeed!

Beyond all cosmos, Arceus gazed at that human named Naoki.

”Interesting, even though not familiar with that Pokemon, just rumors, he willingly wants to help it?”

”Since so, I’ll grant you a gift then.”

With a tiny move of intent, Arceus let two leaves gently fall from that tree.

As the Creator God, He doesn’t mind stepping in personally to alter the rules on that Pokemon.

As for why helping that human, it’s because He saw a new possibility in him.

Not only one world exists among these cosmos; some worlds are peaceful and stable, while others are in peril.

Arceus needs some people to help those worlds on the brink of destruction.

This isn’t His first time doing such a thing.

Long ago, Arceus once chose a human named ”Ko” from a certain world, transferring her to that Hisuin Region, troubled by temporal rifts.

Arceus’s eyes reflected the scene of Naoki picking up those two leaves.

Though young, he still doesn’t know that every gift of fate already carries its price in secret.
