My Talent Skill Mutated

”This mission is to investigate the Alien Race in the Tangula Abyss?”

Chen Yu looked at the long-haired man.

The long-haired man nodded. ”Yes. Investigate traces of the Alien Race—that’s one part. It would be best if you could kill them and bring back a corpse.”

Chen Yu’s brows furrowed.

Based on the file, he had a feeling this mission was far from simple—it might even be quite troublesome.

At this moment, the Dean also spoke up. ”We’re not requiring you to do it. You can refuse, and there will be no penalty.”

Chen Yu lowered his head.

Seeing this, the long-haired man put the file away and said, ”Chen Yu, if you think this mission is too difficult, I can talk to the higher-ups. The Dean is right, it’s fine if you don’t do it.”

Chen Yu looked up at the long-haired man. ”Besides me, how many other members will there be?”

”There’s one other. And you’ve met this member before,”

the long-haired man said.

”I’ve met them?”

Chen Yu stared at the long-haired man in astonishment, blinking. ”Are you talking about Dongfang Yi?”

The long-haired man shook his head. ”You’re overthinking it. With Dongfang Yi’s strength, he doesn’t qualify for a mission like this. It’s one of his sisters.”

A sister...

”I think he has two sisters,” Chen Yu said, looking at the long-haired man.

The long-haired man: ”...”

”Let’s stop playing games. The other member is Dongfang Yao.”

”Dongfang Yao...” Chen Yu’s eyes flickered as he recalled the scenes of her in action back in Tang City.

That woman was indeed very powerful.

Her talent was immense, so much so that even he felt a sense of apprehension.

”She agreed?” Chen Yu asked the long-haired man.

The long-haired man nodded.

”Alright, I’ll do it.” Chen Yu nodded in agreement.

Aberrant beasts, the Alien Race, the Abyssal Realm—he definitely couldn’t miss an opportunity like this to earn Source of Life.

He didn’t care if there were risks. Hunting aberrant beasts was inherently risky anyway.

”Alright. But you’ll have to wait a couple of days for this mission. The Abyssal Administration Bureau still has some things to sort out. I’ll notify you of the time. Don’t worry about travel; I’ll take you to the nearest city safe zone,” the long-haired man said, looking at him.

”No problem,” Chen Yu nodded.

...

Half an hour later, Chen Yu left the office.

He opened his hand and looked at the Alliance member badge in his palm. This was his first mission for the Alliance.

Compared to a typical academy mission, the danger level was very high.

But the greater the risk, the more opportunities he would have to harvest Source of Life.

Right now, whether for his body’s Evolution or for improving his Skills, the amount of Source of Life required was immense.

If he just toiled away at ordinary missions, who knew when he’d ever be able to advance.

Naturally, he couldn’t pass up an opportunity like this.

...

After leaving the office building, Chen Yu immediately headed for the Jingzhou City Center.

He needed to purchase clothes made of a special stretchable material.

He had to be prepared for his ability, Senluo’s Fury. He really didn’t want to expose himself every time he used it.

Half a day later, Chen Yu returned to the academy with several combat suits.

Three special combat suits, including underwear and shorts.

They cost him a total of three million.

One million per suit.

The clothes were made from a special, nano-grade stretchable material. They were fire-resistant, cold-resistant, and waterproof. They could also stretch freely and offered a certain degree of radiation resistance.

Chen Yu tested it out. When he transformed using Senluo’s Fury, the clothes did indeed expand with his body and didn’t tear.

Although they were a bit expensive, they met his requirements, so Chen Yu bought them anyway.

He was loaded, and he didn’t feel the sting of spending money where it was needed.

Upon returning to the academy, Chen Yu received a contact request.

It was from Dongfang Yao.

After he accepted, Dongfang Yao sent him a message.

After glancing at the message, Chen Yu headed toward the Elite Student residential area and arrived at An Ran’s villa. The door opened, and when he stepped inside, he saw Dongfang Yao and An Ran.

”Brother Yu.” Seeing Chen Yu, An Ran greeted him with a beaming smile.

Chen Yu nodded and walked over to the two women.

”Sit, what are you standing for? We’re all friends here,” An Ran said casually.

Chen Yu sat on the sofa. An Ran got up, took a bottle of water from the fridge, and handed it to him.

”Um, Lord Xiao already told me... you’re going too, right?”

Dongfang Yao asked, her big eyes fixed on him.

Chen Yu nodded. ”Yeah. It’s our first time working together. I hope it goes smoothly.”

”Brother Yu, Sister Yao is an introvert, so don’t you go bullying her,” An Ran said to Chen Yu, winking.

Dongfang Yao lowered her head, her face turning slightly red.

Chen Yu: ”...”

”How much do you know about this mission?”

Chen Yu asked Dongfang Yao, changing the subject.

Dongfang Yao looked up at him and said, ”Not much. Just the file Lord Xiao gave me.”

”Then it looks like we’ll just have to play it by ear once we get there,” Chen Yu sighed.

”Brother Yu, why don’t you take me with you? How about I act as support for you two?” An Ran asked, looking at Chen Yu with her big eyes.

Chen Yu shook his head. ”It’s not my call to make. This is an Alliance mission, and it’s very dangerous. I can’t guarantee your safety.”

Hearing this, a trace of disappointment appeared on An Ran’s face.

”Um, if you want to go, I could talk to Lord Xiao about it,”

Dongfang Yao said quietly.

An Ran’s eyes immediately lit up.

Dongfang Yao looked at Chen Yu. ”As long as you don’t mind, I think it should be fine.”

Chen Yu looked at Dongfang Yao.

’A great family is a great family, after all. They can even infiltrate the Superpower Alliance.’

”If you have no objections and it can be arranged, then that’s fine,” Chen Yu said.

An Ran’s strength wasn’t exactly top-tier, but she wasn’t weak either.

In terms of overall combat power, An Ran could rival a Sixth-level Martial Artist, and might even be a little stronger.
