Invincible Soul Emperor

Chapter 347: Chapter 347 Infiltrating the Huanyue Sect

This could bring all sorts of benefits, Ye Qingchen thought, nodding to himself. However, he spoke aloud, ”The Huanyue Sect is a three-star sect with great strength. Breaking into their death row cells to rescue someone is easier said than done. I can help your master remove the parasitic worms, but if we want to get out of there in one piece, we’ll need to discuss this further.”

Xi Yongsheng quickly knelt before Ye Qingchen, saying gratefully, ”Mr. Chen, rest assured. My master holds high prestige within the Huanyue Sect. Now that he is trapped, I’ve already used my connections to clear the way. What’s more, tomorrow is the Huanyue Sect’s ancestral worship day. All the experts will go to the ancestral lands for the ceremony. If we make our move then, it will be foolproof!”

Ye Qingchen kept his Dual Pupil Martial Soul active, listening to Xi Yongsheng’s inner thoughts. He knew the man wasn’t lying, and this was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He nodded. ”Alright, we have a deal.”

Xi Yongsheng kowtowed repeatedly. After settling on a time to make their move with Ye Qingchen, he took his leave.

Ye Qingchen didn’t delay for a moment. Once Xi Yongsheng was gone, he went straight to find Liang Xiong, who was resting in a guest room, and told him everything. When Liang Xiong learned that Xi Jianwei could testify against Lin Lanxin’s crimes, he readily agreed to join forces with Ye Qingchen. After discussing the plan a while longer, Ye Qingchen departed.

The next day, at the agreed-upon time, Ye Qingchen and Liang Xiong arrived at the back mountain of the Huanyue Sect. Xi Yongsheng was already there waiting. Led by Xi Yongsheng, the trio passed through the back mountain and infiltrated the sect proper. Along the way, both Ye Qingchen and Liang Xiong kept their Divine Senses active, monitoring every move within the Huanyue Sect just in case. However, the situation was just as Xi Yongsheng had described: all the experts had left, leaving only a few Martial Spirit Realm disciples on guard. This greatly reassured them.

Xi Yongsheng led them through a series of twists and turns until they reached the outside of the Huanyue Sect’s death row cells. There, they saw two Eighth Layer Martial Spirit Realm guards standing watch.

Liang Xiong nodded to Ye Qingchen and stealthily approached the two guards. As a Fifth Layer Martial King Realm expert, dealing with two Martial Spirit Realm cultivators was child’s play for him, especially in a sneak attack. The guards had no time to react before they were killed.

After confirming there were no other guards nearby, Liang Xiong gestured to Ye Qingchen and Xi Yongsheng, and the trio entered the death row cells together. Liang Xiong killed everyone they encountered along the way. Although the cells were heavily guarded, the defenses were useless against the intrusion of a Martial King Realm expert. The guards died before they could even trigger the alarms. This was all thanks to Xi Yongsheng, who had already scouted the guard deployments in advance, ensuring their infiltration went smoothly.

Upon entering the death row cells, Ye Qingchen immediately saw Xi Jianwei, who had been tortured beyond recognition. Xi Yongsheng rushed to his side, fell to his knees, and cried out, ”Master, I’ve brought Mr. Chen! You’re saved!”

Ye Qingchen nodded to Liang Xiong. ”Sect Master Liang, I’ll have to trouble you to stand guard for me. Pill King Xi is in terrible shape. If we don’t remove the parasitic worms now, I fear he won’t survive the journey even if we do manage to break him out.”

Liang Xiong smiled and nodded. ”Mr. Chen, please proceed with all your might. With me here, no one will disturb you.”

Ye Qingchen thanked him by cupping his fists and walked toward Xi Jianwei.

By then, Xi Yongsheng had already used his Spiritual Energy to open Xi Jianwei’s cell door. Seeing Ye Qingchen approach, he quickly ushered him in. ”Mr. Chen, is there anything I can do to help?”

Ye Qingchen shook his head. ”I’m going to remove Pill King Xi’s parasitic worms. You should stand guard with Sect Master Liang.”

”Then I shall leave it in your hands, Mr. Chen!” Xi Yongsheng nodded and left the cell.

When Xi Jianwei saw Ye Qingchen, a look of shame crossed his face. He never could have imagined that after targeting Ye Qingchen so relentlessly, the young man would still set aside their past grievances and risk his own life to save him. A flood of complex emotions washed over Xi Jianwei. He tried to shakily rise to pay his respects but was stopped by Ye Qingchen.

”Pill King Xi, healing your injuries is the priority right now,” Ye Qingchen said with a smile. ”Don’t move. First, take this Spirit Pill.”

As he spoke, Ye Qingchen took a Spirit Pill from his robes and placed it at Xi Jianwei’s mouth. Xi Jianwei swallowed it without hesitation.

The Spirit Pill’s only purpose was to Fortify the Origin. The fact that he had been tormented into his current state in such a short time was a testament to how vicious the parasitic worms inside him were. In his current condition, Xi Jianwei’s body would not be able to withstand the removal process. After taking the Spirit Pill, Xi Jianwei’s breathing gradually steadied, and some color returned to his face.

Ye Qingchen activated his Dual Pupil Martial Soul to observe the condition inside Xi Jianwei’s body. Unlike with Liang Xiong’s wife, Xiao Ruoli, the parasitic worms in Xi Jianwei were aggressive, but the infestation was recent. The worms were still on the surface of his meridians and had not yet invaded his internal organs. This made their removal significantly less difficult.

Seeing that Xi Jianwei’s body was slowly recovering, Ye Qingchen summoned his Fen Tian Earth Fire and carefully introduced it into Xi Jianwei’s body. Xi Jianwei focused his mind, controlling the Spiritual Energy in his body so it wouldn’t resist Ye Qingchen’s Soul Power. This made the removal process much smoother.

As the Fen Tian Earth Fire entered his system, its scorching temperature forced the parasitic worms to scurry frantically throughout his body, causing his very flesh to crack open. This, however, was a necessary stage of the expulsion.

Ye Qingchen cautiously controlled the Fen Tian Earth Fire, herding the worms until he had them all corralled within Xi Jianwei’s right forearm. He then took out silver needles and inserted them around the forearm, steadily shrinking the space in which the parasites could move.

Finally, an egg-sized bulge formed on the forearm, with tiny worms visibly wriggling within it. Ye Qingchen produced a dagger, sterilized it with the Fen Tian Earth Fire, and sliced the bulge open. Worms immediately began leaping out from the wound.

With a few swift swings of his dagger, Ye Qingchen cut them all in two.

With that, the parasites in Xi Jianwei’s body were completely eliminated. Ye Qingchen then took out another Spirit Pill and had him swallow it.
