Invincible Soul Emperor

Chapter 337: Chapter 337: Killing Two Birds with One Stone Plan

Ye Qingchen responded with a faint smile and began, ”Ladies and gentlemen, I assure you, Chen Yue Pavilion is not one to shirk responsibility. As the gentleman before me rightly said, no matter who framed our pavilion, this matter originated because of us. Today, I solemnly promise you all!

”Any customers who have been poisoned or injured due to this incident will be treated by Chen Yue Pavilion free of charge! Furthermore, they will be compensated. For the next month, all Spirit Pills from Chen Yue Pavilion will be sold at a twenty percent discount! If any issue with our Spirit Pills arises after this, for any reason whatsoever, Chen Yue Pavilion will offer ten-fold compensation for every faulty pill!”

Ye Qingchen’s words immediately elicited enthusiastic applause from the onlookers, and some even cheered, ”Long live Chen Yue Pavilion!”

It was clear to everyone that Chen Yue Pavilion, having just opened, would not do something so self-destructive. This incident was obviously a case of sabotage. As for who was behind it, it was surely just another case of vicious commercial competition. Thus, most of the crowd had originally gathered with the mentality of watching a show, waiting to see Chen Yue Pavilion be humiliated. But now, not only had Ye Qingchen proven his innocence, he had also promised free treatment and compensation, along with the audacious vow of ten-fold compensation. Such Vitality Force directly converted many of the onlookers from mockers to supporters, showcasing the sincerity of Chen Yue Pavilion.

”Boss Chen, I believe in Chen Yue Pavilion! From now on, whenever I need Spirit Pills, I will definitely come here!” someone shouted from the crowd.

Another voice quickly chimed in, ”Why wait? I want to buy Spirit Pills from Chen Yue Pavilion right now!”

And just like that, the crowd that had been clamoring to tear down Chen Yue Pavilion was now clamoring to purchase Spirit Pills.

Ye Qingchen gave Ma Chunsheng a meaningful glance. Ma Chunsheng immediately understood and opened the doors to Chen Yue Pavilion, welcoming the customers inside.

True to his word, Ye Qingchen personally sat down to diagnose and treat those who had been poisoned or injured.

Seeing Chen Yue Pavilion’s business booming, the Huanyue Sect disciple who had led the troublemakers could only take his men and beat a hasty retreat.

After weathering this storm, Chen Yue Pavilion not only stood unshaken but experienced an even greater surge in business. Ye Qingchen found himself refining Spirit Pills day and night just to keep up with the demand.

When news of this reached Xi Jianwei, he flew into a rage, smashing five or six tables before barely containing his fury.

”Elder Xi, what a temper!”

With that sarcastic remark, Huan Yuehua, the Sect Leader of the Huanyue Sect, stepped in. She glanced at the wreckage in the room and the frustrated Xi Jianwei, letting out a cold sneer.

Xi Jianwei knew the news had certainly reached Huan Yuehua. Hearing the mockery in her tone, he realized that her anger probably surpassed his own. He hurriedly bowed and began, ”Sect Leader, regarding this incident...”

Without letting him finish, Huan Yuehua cut him off with a dismissive wave of her hand. ”I am not here for your explanations. Instead of making excuses, you should be thinking about what to do next!”

Wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, Xi Jianwei cautiously asked, ”Sect Leader, please enlighten me.”

”Enlighten you?” Huan Yuehua snorted coldly. ”How should I do that? In Thunder Valley, you, a seventh-rank Pill King, were defeated by the fifth-rank Pill King Chen Qingye. You even handed over the opportunity to observe the Wordless Jade Bi to him. This time, I had you deal with his Chen Yue Pavilion, and look what you’ve done! Chen Yue Pavilion’s business is now booming, while the sales of our Huanyue Sect’s Spirit Pills have dropped by thirty percent!”

How could Huan Yuehua not be furious? As the Huanyue Sect’s chief alchemist, she normally couldn’t be too harsh with Xi Jianwei, but seeing that he still had no solution, her rage boiled over.

Kicking away the table fragments on the floor, she snapped, ”Elder Xi, this is all thanks to the free publicity you gave Chen Yue Pavilion!”

Xi Jianwei’s face flushed with shame, but he didn’t know how to respond.

Huan Yuehua paced around the room and continued, ”I received a report that Chen Qingye stayed before the Wordless Jade Bi for an entire month. He has likely discovered its secret! It’s even possible he has already obtained the Wordless Jade Bi itself. Therefore, no matter the cost, this Chen Qingye and his Chen Yue Pavilion must be crushed!”

Scolded to the point he couldn’t even lift his head, Xi Jianwei’s mind raced until he finally conceived of what he believed to be a brilliant plan. ”Sect Leader, I have a strategy.”

Huan Yuehua glanced at him and said coolly, ”Oh? What strategy do you have, Elder Xi? Let’s hear it.”

Xi Jianwei wiped the cold sweat from his forehead again. ”Sect Leader, Chen Yue Pavilion is currently luring customers with a twenty percent discount on Spirit Pills. We can take this opportunity to buy up their Spirit Pills in massive quantities!”

Huan Yuehua sneered in disdain. ”Massively purchase? Are you afraid Chen Yue Pavilion isn’t making enough money or growing fast enough?”

”Sect Leader, please be patient,” Xi Jianwei said with an ingratiating smile. ”Their promotion only lasts for one month. I’ve also had people inquire. Chen Yue Pavilion has a limited number of alchemists and simply can’t handle excessively large orders. If we secretly sign a contract with them to purchase a huge amount of Spirit Pills, they will inevitably fail to deliver and be forced to compensate us for breach of contract. Furthermore, the Huanyue Sect controls the majority of the medicinal herb supply in Illusory Moon City. We can simply instruct those herb merchants to cut off Chen Yue Pavilion’s supply chain!”

Hearing this, Huan Yuehua nodded thoughtfully. ”The method you’ve suggested seems feasible.”

Xi Jianwei smiled. ”Sect Leader, there’s another benefit to this!”

Huan Yuehua looked at him with curiosity. Knowing she was in a foul mood, Xi Jianwei didn’t keep her in suspense. ”Sect Leader, by purchasing a large quantity of their Spirit Pills, we are essentially stockpiling them at a low price. Once Chen Yue Pavilion’s twenty percent discount promotion ends, we can launch our own ten percent discount sale! When that time comes, we can instantly win back all the business they stole from us!”

Huan Yuehua nodded. ”First, we cut their supply chain, forcing them to breach the contract and pay damages, which will severely weaken them. Then, after their discount promotion ends, we launch our own sale... With these two tactics, it’ll be difficult for Chen Yue Pavilion not to collapse!”

Xi Jianwei beamed. ”Sect Leader is brilliant!”
