Invincible Soul Emperor

Chapter 315: Chapter 315 Illusion Technique

Wan Shi Tong had been standing rather far back, and with the Yellow Skin Demon King shrouded in illusions, he hadn’t immediately recognized her. It was only after Ye Qingchen shook Liang Fei off that the illusions shattered, allowing Wan Shi Tong to finally get a clear look.

”So that’s the Yellow Skin Demon King? Turns out she’s a woman,” Xiao Xiao remarked, pursing her lips.

Covering his face, Liang Fei sidled up to Xiao Xiao again. ”You can’t blame me, right, Xiao Xiao? She’s a Demon King! It’s not too shameful to fall for her Illusion Technique, is it?”

Xiao Xiao shot him a sidelong glance, too lazy to argue with the fatty.

When he saw that announcing the Demon King’s name didn’t produce the tension and fear he expected, Wan Shi Tong grew anxious. ”Master, that’s the Yellow Skin Demon King! Her power is comparable to the Third Layer of the Martial King Realm among you humans. We should run, quickly!”

”Flee?” Xiao Xiao gave Wan Shi Tong a disdainful look. ”We came here looking for her. Why would we run now that we’ve finally found her?”

The Yellow Skin Demon King had already risen from the ground, enraged that the prize within her grasp had been snatched away. But when she saw Ye Qingchen and Xiao Xiao suddenly appear, she couldn’t help but burst out laughing. ”Two more humans have arrived! HAHA, I didn’t expect to bag such a haul today. With you three as a tonic, I’ll definitely be able to break through to the next level!”

Xiao Xiao was puzzled as to how the Demon King could sense they were human. Wan Shi Tong, sensing her thoughts, quickly explained, ”The Yellow Skin Demon King is a master of Illusion Techniques and is also extremely sensitive to auras and scents. Master, the Demon Qi Pills you took can’t fool her senses. Besides, anyone whose strength reaches a certain realm can distinguish between humans and the Demon Race.”

Xiao Xiao nodded and, without hesitation, flashed to Ye Qingchen’s side to confront the Yellow Skin Demon King. Seeing his goddess take action, Liang Fei steeled himself and ran over as well, despite his fear of the Demon King’s power. Wan Shi Tong knew his own strength was lacking, and since Xiao Xiao hadn’t ordered him to help, he hid himself far away.

”Young Master, that’s the Yellow Skin Demon King,” Xiao Xiao said to Ye Qingchen beside her.

Ye Qingchen nodded, a glint of excitement in his eyes.

The Yellow Skin Demon King looked at the three humans before her. Unconcerned by her state of undress, she slowly and deliberately pulled her clothes back on. ”You three little brats are merely in the Martial Spirit Realm. Do you really think you can fight me? I advise you to obediently engage in Dual Cultivation with me. At least you’ll experience the ultimate pleasure before you die.”

Her voice was laced with a mesmerizing Magic Power, making Liang Fei feel a surge of heat. The word ”yes” almost escaped his lips, but a single ice-cold glare from Xiao Xiao made him swallow it back down.

”Young Master, this Yellow Skin Demon King has the power of a Third-Layer Martial King. Let’s attack together,” Xiao Xiao said to Ye Qingchen. As soon as she finished speaking, she took the lead, unleashing the Earth Rank Martial Technique, Wildfire Rampage. A deluge of flames appeared in an instant, only to be compressed by Xiao Xiao into a Flame Spirit Sword in her hand.

Ye Qingchen also drew his Qingfeng Sword, ready to strike. Liang Fei gritted his teeth and drew his own superior-grade spiritual weapon. Even Ye Qingchen, a Fifth-Layer Martial Spirit Realm cultivator, was taking action. If he didn’t participate in front of his goddess, Xiao Xiao, it would be a total loss of face.

Seeing that the three still intended to resist, the Yellow Skin Demon King let out a chilling cackle as a thin yellow mist rose around her body.

”Be careful! That’s the mist I accidentally inhaled that made me fall for her trick,” Liang Fei kindly warned Xiao Xiao and Ye Qingchen.

However, Xiao Xiao possessed the Ten-Star Vermilion Bird Holy Soul, so the mist couldn’t even get near her. Meanwhile, Ye Qingchen had his Dual Pupil Martial Soul and the Fen Tian Earth Fire. Coupled with his incredibly firm will, he had no fear of Illusion Techniques either. Without hesitation, they lunged at the Yellow Skin Demon King from both sides.

The Yellow Skin Demon King let out a coquettish laugh and moved to meet them. The three immediately engaged in battle. Spiritual Power clashed violently, and the resulting shockwaves created countless shattering wind blades that shredded the thick trees in their path into splinters, sending wood chips flying everywhere!

Both Ye Qingchen and Xiao Xiao were using Earth Rank Martial Techniques, so even when facing the Third-Layer Martial King, they were not at a disadvantage. This was the first time Liang Fei had witnessed them fighting at full power, and he was so shocked his jaw hung open. He could understand Xiao Xiao, who was at the Ninth Layer of the Martial Spirit Realm, but Ye Qingchen was only at the Fifth Layer. How could he be this ferocious? Driven by his competitive spirit, Liang Fei raised his superior-grade spiritual weapon and joined the fray.

Suddenly, the pressure on the Yellow Skin Demon King increased dramatically. Although all three were in the Martial Spirit Realm, they each possessed unique skills that gave them combat power comparable to the Martial King Realm. As formidable as the Yellow Skin Demon King was, she gradually began to struggle under their combined assault.

Realizing this, the Yellow Skin Demon King dodged Ye Qingchen’s Sword Qi and flashed over to Liang Fei’s side. From behind her body, she released an imperceptible, pus-yellow gas. Liang Fei, engrossed in the thrill of battle, was completely unaware of this sudden change. Before he knew it, he had fallen for the Yellow Skin Demon King’s Illusion Technique.

With his superior-grade spiritual weapon in hand, he abruptly changed targets and slashed directly at Ye Qingchen, cursing, ”Yellow Skin Demon King, die!”

Seeing Liang Fei attack Ye Qingchen at such a critical moment, Xiao Xiao became furious. ”You fatty! What are you doing? How dare you attack my Young Master?”

Ye Qingchen dodged Liang Fei’s attack, but the Yellow Skin Demon King seized the opportunity to strike him from behind. Ye Qingchen had no time to evade and could only raise the Qingfeng Sword horizontally to block the blow. The Yellow Skin Demon King was a Third-Layer Martial King expert, and the combat power of the Demon Race was generally higher than that of humans. Her well-planned attack sent Ye Qingchen flying backward, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

Seeing Ye Qingchen injured only fueled Xiao Xiao’s anger, but Liang Fei remained completely oblivious, continuing to swing his superior-grade spiritual weapon in pursuit of Ye Qingchen.

”Xiao Xiao, don’t worry about me!” Ye Qingchen shouted, seeing she was about to rush over. Fearing she would be ambushed as well, he quickly added, ”This guy is caught in an Illusion Technique! You hold off the Yellow Skin Demon King, and I’ll dispel it!”

Xiao Xiao nodded, brandishing her Flame Spirit Sword as she engaged the Yellow Skin Demon King.

Watching the charging Liang Fei, Ye Qingchen sighed. This guy really is more trouble than he’s worth! I should have just let the demon cook him back then! Still, Liang Fei now saw him as the Yellow Skin Demon King. If Ye Qingchen didn’t find a way to deal with him, it would be like the Demon King had gained an ally.

After a moment of thought, he unleashed his Willow Wood Martial Soul’s binding skill, and countless vines shot out to ensnare Liang Fei. Then, Ye Qingchen retrieved a fourth-grade Spirit Pill—a Barrier-breaking Pill—from his Storage Ring and forced it into Liang Fei’s mouth.

A few moments later, clarity slowly returned to Liang Fei’s eyes. Seeing Ye Qingchen in front of him, his face flushed with anger and he demanded righteously, ”Ye Qingchen! My goddess Xiao Xiao is in a life-or-death battle with the Yellow Skin Demon King over there, and you’re not helping? You scumbag!”
