God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 949: Chapter 945: An Explanation

On the contrary, Xiao Tian showed no impatience or urgency from beginning to end, chatting casually while inviting Xiang Yiting and Adison Claire to eat.

However, Xiang Yiting and Adison Claire couldn’t eat at all at this moment; they could only choose to trust that Xiao Tian had some reliance, judging from his composed demeanor.

When the time reached seven minutes and fifty-nine seconds, there was a sudden click at the private room door. The doorknob turned downward, and then the door opened, revealing a young man with a gentle appearance, exuding a calm aura as if nothing could disturb him.

The newcomer was, of course, Sugai Yasuaki. Upon seeing the two bodyguards lying on the ground and Masuda Ryosei with a head injury, Sugai Yasuaki only furrowed his brow slightly before looking at Xiao Tian and saying, ”You must have been the one who injured them, right?”

Xiao Tian nodded calmly. ”Sugai Yasuaki, right? Sit down!”

Sugai Yasuaki sat down obediently, without showing any displeasure. Instead, he asked calmly, ”The reason? If they did something wrong, I will naturally apologize to you. But if you provoked them first, I won’t be polite either!”

These words were delivered neutrally, without any hostility, as if he were stating a very normal principle—clear and straightforward, while openly revealing his stance.

Xiao Tian, however, did not start explaining the situation immediately but instead asked, ”I find it strange—did you come alone?”

Sugai Yasuaki smiled slightly. ”I’m here to solve the problem, not expand it. Besides, since you specifically requested me to come, it suggests you aren’t the party at fault, so there’s no need for me to bring a lot of people.”

Xiao Tian nodded, having a decent first impression of Sugai Yasuaki. Among the Mizuno Clan, he seemed quite agreeable, certainly different from the usual pampered sons of aristocratic families.

After pondering for a moment, Xiao Tian explained the whole story gently, simultaneously observing Sugai Yasuaki’s reactions to gauge his temperament and character.

However, Sugai Yasuaki listened attentively without interrupting, showing a demeanor that suggested he had been specially trained in this regard.

Even the most inscrutable person would exhibit some subtle changes in their gaze while listening to someone speak, but not Sugai Yasuaki, who remained unperturbed, like a monk detached from worldly affairs.

After Xiao Tian finished speaking, Sugai Yasuaki turned his head towards Masuda Ryosei, who was hanging his head, and calmly asked, ”Did you hear what that gentleman just said? Do you have any objections?”

Masuda Ryosei trembled all over but dared not hide anything, nodding, ”Everything he said is true. I... have no objections.”

”Mm!”

Sugai Yasuaki responded lightly, still showing minimal emotional fluctuation, then turned to Xiao Tian, saying, ”It seems my people were indeed at fault, but since you called me here, I assume you’ve thought about what compensation you want?”

”The expense of this meal will be on him, and he should apologize to my companions!” Xiao Tian spoke directly, without any nonsense, and got straight to the point.

”Is it that simple?” Sugai Yasuaki asked, skeptically. ”No need for additional compensation?”

This remark left everyone present stunned. Is there really such a person in the world?

When someone has already proposed not-too-high conditions, just agree quickly; asking if there’s no extra compensation is like every scammer’s dream encounter!

Xiao Tian seriously nodded. ”No need, as long as he pays the bill and apologizes, this matter is settled.”

Sugai Yasuaki glanced sideways, ”Any objections?”

”I wouldn’t dare... oh no, none!” Masuda Ryosei hurriedly replied.

”Then do as that gentleman says,” Sugai Yasuaki instructed indifferently.

...

Not long after, upon receiving Masuda Ryosei’s apology, Xiang Yiting and Adison Claire finally breathed a sigh of relief, and their impression of Sugai Yasuaki began to improve.

Especially Xiang Yiting, who was even more surprised. Previously, she had only heard that members of the Mizuno Clan belonged to Dark Forces, yet Sugai Yasuaki appeared so reasonable!

However, Xiao Tian coldly chuckled in his heart; after the prelude was complete, it was time to get to the main topic...

Sure enough, after Masuda Ryosei completed everything as Sugai Yasuaki asked, Sugai Yasuaki casually poured half a cup of tea into the cup in front of him, took a sip, and said, ”Are you satisfied with this outcome?”

Xiao Tian’s mouth turned down slightly, showing a half-smile, ”More or less satisfied.”

Sugai Yasuaki smiled and nodded, then suddenly shifted the conversation, ”Since you’re satisfied with how I’ve handled matters, would you mind if I sought a satisfactory outcome as well?”

”What result does Mr. Sugai Yasuaki desire?” Xiao Tian expected this and asked in a calm tone.

”Although this matter started with my people’s mistake, you did injure them; shouldn’t there be an explanation?” Sugai Yasuaki’s gaze fixed on Xiao Tian, still devoid of hostility, yet like a knife that cuts without shedding blood—no visible ripples on the surface but concealing hidden danger underneath.

”Explanation?!”

Xiao Tian put down his chopsticks, took out a tissue from the box beside him, wiped his mouth, and said, ”Sure, the explanation is that they brought it on themselves. I didn’t cripple them, which is already giving you face!”

Boom!

As soon as Xiao Tian finished his sentence, everyone present felt like they were in a warehouse filled with gasoline, with Xiao Tian being the one who lit the match; a casual throw would engulf everyone in flames!

A fierce look finally flashed across Sugai Yasuaki’s eyes, but he quickly regained his composure and said, ”Your words are unreasonable. I have already compensated you to a certain extent per your request, and now I just want an explanation. Surely, you won’t refuse?”

Unknown to Xiao Tian, Sugai Yasuaki had already labeled him as someone who doesn’t play by the rules in his heart.

Typically, when asked for an explanation, one should ask what kind of explanation is sought.

But Xiao Tian simply didn’t follow that course; instead, a single sentence disrupted all of Sugai Yasuaki’s plans, forcing him to go along with Xiao Tian’s tempo for now.

”I’ve already given you an explanation; they brought it on themselves.” Xiao Tian looked at Sugai Yasuaki with some amusement. ”What, isn’t this explanation sufficient?”

Sugai Yasuaki immediately nodded slowly, ”Not only is it insufficient, but it’s far from enough!”

Yet, intending to lead Xiao Tian into his rhythm with this sentence, Sugai Yasuaki found his plans once again drawn to nothing...
