”Don’t be angry, don’t be angry!” Xiao Tian hurriedly promised, ”Rest assured, I will clarify everything and restore your innocence at the time!”

But Melinda was still not over her anger. Even if you could prove that Jiang Kaishan was impersonated by you, staying in a tent is a solid fact. How do you explain that?

However, Melinda didn’t voice these thoughts. She wasn’t the type to particularly care about others’ opinions, but just thinking of Jiang Kaishan’s sleazy appearance made her anger rise.

At that moment, the waiter came over with a tray of tea. Seeing the half-fallen door, he hurried over, only to stumble right by Xiao Tian’s foot.

Caught by surprise, the tray of boiling hot water was about to spill down his chest.

Seeing this, Xiao Tian quickly reached out to steady him to prevent scalding, but the waiter still fell to the ground with a loud clatter.

Immediately, footsteps were heard from the stairs, followed by the shop owner’s angry shouting, ”What are you doing? Tripping when delivering tea; this month’s salary...”

When the owner saw the damaged door, his eyes flamed with anger, ignoring the fallen waiter and rushing into the room to argue with the group.

”Are you here to stay or to demolish the place? Do you know how expensive that door is?”

”It wasn’t us at all; we’ve been talking in the room, and the door just fell on its own.”

”Not you? Then who? I don’t care; if you don’t pay, none of you are leaving today. Xiaoshengzi, call the police!”

...

Having heard none of this, Xiao Tian had no choice but to pull Melinda back into the room.

Xiao Tian didn’t blame Melinda; after all, he couldn’t shirk his responsibility in this matter. Seeing the beauty beside him still smoldering, he quickly started thinking about what to say.

But Melinda returned to her bunk, saying only, ”Get some sleep!” before lying down and saying nothing more.

Hearing Melinda’s displeased tone, Xiao Tian groaned inwardly. How could he sleep?

He focused his attention outside, on the hotel’s heated bargaining, while worrying whether the group might trash the place, get arrested, and truly wreck everything!

Luckily, they weren’t strapped for cash. They grudgingly paid for the damages and returned to their rooms to recuperate, ending the ordeal.

Xiao Tian finally breathed a sigh of relief, constantly trying to divert his attention; that restless feeling was something he’d rather not experience again.

In the morning, when Wang Bin and his group saw Ren Wenshan lying on the bed, extremely agitated, they couldn’t help feeling a little panic.

The tape recorder’s repeated droning continued, and seeing Wang Bin and others, Ren Wenshan promptly asked, ”Are we leaving? Untie me, please!”

Only then did they notice Ren Wenshan’s wrists, raw and bloody, making them gasp involuntarily.

Frowning, Wang Bin switched off the tape recorder, only to hear Ren Wenshan question, ”Why turn it off? Don’t you like this heavenly music?”

Their backs ran cold in moments. Had he been driven mad?

”Mr. Ren, are you alright now?” Wang Bin swallowed and asked cautiously, ”Are you really okay?”

Ren Wenshan looked baffled. ”What could be wrong? Young Master Wang said we were heading up the mountain today. When do we leave?”

Seeing Ren Wenshan speaking normally, Wang Bin relaxed a little. ”No rush. Satan said we should wait for his signal.”

Ren Wenshan nodded, ”Then at least untie me first...”

Before he could finish, Wang Bin suddenly yelled, ”Open your mouth!”

”Rest assured, Young Master Wang!” Ren Wenshan chuckled, ”After listening to you all night, I’ve gotten used to it. Honestly, I should thank you; without your help, my problem wouldn’t have healed!”

Wang Bin finally eased completely, ”I had no choice; I hope Mr. Ren won’t mind.”

”What are you standing around for?” Wang Bin turned his head and shouted, ”Untie Mr. Ren quickly!”

They hurried forward to untie Ren Wenshan, naturally bumping into his wounds in the process.

When Ren Wenshan finally endured the pain and found himself free, Wang Bin instructed, ”Hurry and find a doctor to bandage Mr. Ren’s wounds.”

After the others left, leaving the two of them in the room, Wang Bin glanced at the time, hesitating, ”Satan vowed we’d leave today, yet there’s no word. Could something have happened?”

Ren Wenshan knew Wang Bin meant whether Satan had taken the money and fled, so he replied, ”Don’t worry, Young Master Wang. Satan has been in the Assassin Realm for years; he knows the rules well!”

”If Satan really broke the rules, we wouldn’t need to act against him; others would naturally move against him!” With that, Ren Wenshan explained the rules of the Assassin Realm and their origins to Wang Bin.

...

After hearing Ren Wenshan’s detailed explanation, Wang Bin finally eased up, though he didn’t know that Satan was currently overwhelmed with troubles.

While having breakfast in the small shop with Melinda, seeing she seemed over her anger, Xiao Tian prepared to pay and leave.

At that moment, that peculiar feeling reappeared, freezing him on the spot, sweat beading from his forehead.

Melinda finally noticed Xiao Tian’s odd condition, quickly asking, ”What’s wrong?”

Xiao Tian didn’t have time to explain. He took out the Jade Pendant and grabbed her hand, and the two vanished into thin air under everyone’s astonished gaze.

The shop owner, fiddling with the abacus at the counter, inadvertently looked up. The young couple, moments ago handling money, had disappeared completely.

”Xiaoshengzi!” An anguished scream echoed, almost causing the waiter in the restroom to fall into the pit, before anxiously responding only to fumble with his pants, nearly forgetting to wipe himself in his haste.

The young waiter’s fear of the shopkeeper was evident.

Two minutes later, seeing no sign of the waiter, the shopkeeper’s fury flared. ”You idiot! Didn’t you hear me?” He cursed all the way to the backyard, ready to find the waiter and settle accounts.

”Bo-boss!”

Reaching the restroom door, he heard the waiter’s tentative plea, ”Can you bring me some paper?”

”You don’t know to bring paper to the bathroom yourself?” The shopkeeper’s rage peaked—how had he ended up with such a fool?!
