God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 561: Chapter 558: Friendly Match

However, due to the rules, Xiao Tian couldn’t enter the field, and Yang Qiang could only brace himself and step up!

”Tian, I...”

Before the match was about to start, Yang Qiang approached Xiao Tian, wanting to say that he wasn’t confident about winning and worried about embarrassing their side. But Xiao Tian, full of confidence, patted his shoulder and interrupted, ”You can do it!”

Yang Qiang smiled bitterly. He had personally witnessed the intensity of their opponent’s training. If it was purely about strength, one of their opponents could match three of him, so he could only try to win with speed!

”From our side, you can pick anyone you want, even those doing push-ups are within your choice range!” Zhou Huchen said nonchalantly.

But Xiao Tian immediately jumped into the conversation, and before Yang Qiang could make a choice, he said, ”No need, bring out your best!”

His words not only made Zhou Huchen and the others feel that Xiao Tian was bragging, but even Yu Ningxue and the rest on his side were somewhat surprised.

If Xiao Tian personally participated, even if their opponents teamed up against him, everyone would have confidence in him.

However, after witnessing their opponent’s insane training, especially with Yang Qiang personally stepping in, doubts unavoidably arose in everyone’s hearts—where did this confidence come from?!

Indeed, although Yang Qiang’s strength wasn’t top-notch, it was respectable. But the opponents were members of a provincial special force, and the level of training and physical enhancement they received wasn’t even on the same level, right?

So was Xiao Tian bluffing, or was he really confident about Yang Qiang winning? This made things intriguing.

The group reached the center of the training ground, surrounded by hundreds of special force members along with Xiao Tian and his companions.

With Yang Qiang visibly lacking confidence, he slowly stood in front of the opponent under everyone’s gaze.

The person dispatched by Zhou Huchen was the one who had previously challenged Xiao Tian. His name was Duan Xiaotian, known for his diligence in training and was highly regarded by Zhou Huchen.

Duan Xiaotian looked at Yang Qiang, who was visibly shorter than him, with a sarcastic smile on the corner of his mouth, tilting his head slightly to look at his opponent.

From Yang Qiang’s perspective at that moment, he could just see Duan Xiaotian’s nostrils expanding and contracting.

Just on the surface, Yang Qiang had already lost a big deal, making the Qing Province special force members ecstatic.

If Zhou Huchen hadn’t ordered in advance not to interfere vocally, these people would have immediately started cheering for their comrade.

On Xiao Tian’s side, everyone was breaking into a cold sweat but also hoping Yang Qiang could defeat the opponent to vent their frustration!

Zhou Huchen looked at Xiao Tian triumphantly and, noticing that Xiao Tian didn’t care about his own performance, suddenly frowned.

After a long moment, Zhou Huchen finally realized that the opponent probably never intended to win from the start!

Remembering how his opponent seemed determined to have him send out the strongest, Zhou Huchen thought about it. Even if he ultimately won, the opponent could claim that they didn’t send their strongest.

Now thinking about trying to change the rules verbally, it was already too late.

The current situation was that, if they won, it’d be said it wasn’t a fair fight; even worse, if they lost, what face would he have left?!

Thinking of this, the look Zhou Huchen gave Xiao Tian lost its smugness and turned into anger after feeling toyed with.

However, had Xiao Tian known his thoughts, he would likely have laughed at them as paranoid. Who could come up with such a magical idea must have a persecution complex, right?!

Firstly, the challenge wasn’t initiated by Xiao Tian. Secondly, Duan Xiaotian had been training under Zhou Huchen’s command for years, while Yang Qiang never received any guidance from Xiao Tian before.

If Xiao Tian calculated him the way Zhou Huchen thought, then he’d be the greatest conspirator in history!

With a sharp whistle, the match officially began, and the spectators stopped their thoughts, focusing their full attention on the field.

Initially, it was a one-sided battle. Duan Xiaotian’s fierce attacks forced Yang Qiang to stagger left and right, retreating towards the edge of the field.

If this trend continued, within two minutes, Yang Qiang would be forced off the field by Duan Xiaotian, and the referee would declare the results immediately.

The two onstage were moving nimbly, and the audience from both sides were extremely tense, everyone silently cheering for their teammates on the field, with expressions not any more relaxed than those participating.

Seeing that Yang Qiang was less than five meters from the edge, Yu Ningxue finally couldn’t help but look towards Xiao Tian, only to find he was still calm and composed.

Even though she had great trust in Xiao Tian, believing he must have complete confidence to act this way, Yu Ningxue couldn’t figure out how this situation could turn around.

Could he personally step in to fight the opponent? That would surely work, but the consequence would be a meaningless victory since the essence of the competition was still a contest between the team members.

”Do you think I can’t see through such petty tactics?” At some point, Zhou Huchen had quietly approached Xiao Tian and made a sarcastic comment.

Seeing Xiao Tian ignoring him, the others showed expressions of irritation mixed with confusion. Zhou Huchen realized such a dirty trick seemed known only to Xiao Tian, while the others were in the dark.

This was wonderful news for Zhou Huchen, as it allowed him to reveal Xiao Tian’s true colors in front of his subordinates.

Ultimately, Zhou Huchen was vexed by Xiao Tian’s unflappable attitude, as if he always had the victory in hand!

”I bet when your man loses, you’ll say he wasn’t your strongest fighter.”

With an expression as if he had seen through Xiao Tian, Zhou Huchen said, ”And I indeed sent out my best man, so it’s normal to lose strong versus strong, right?”

However, nobody responded to him, much to Zhou Huchen’s surprise. It would be great if someone spoke up to argue!

After a while, Zhou Huchen’s awkwardness turned to anger, and he asked, ”You never planned on winning, just stalling for time, and then claiming I won without merit, right?”

Xiao Tian finally reacted; he turned his head and chuckled, looking at Zhou Huchen, who had been performing a solo act all along: ”Are you so sure you’ll win?”

After speaking, before Zhou Huchen could digest it, Xiao Tian shouted: ”Hit the spot below the sternum!”

As soon as the words fell, everyone saw the precarious Yang Qiang on the field suddenly transform like a wild horse and, after sidestepping an attack, struck a spot below Duan Xiaotian’s sternum with his palm...
