Chapter 484: Chapter 481: Calling Each Other Sisters

Yu Ningxue’s heart skipped a beat, having previously focused only on Ozawa Miwa’s purpose in telling Xiao Tian the news, she had forgotten to inquire about Miwa’s own source of information.

In that case, for Ozawa Miwa to know such important intelligence, and in such detail, is really no simple feat!

As she pondered, Xiao Tian spoke again.

”However, we don’t have time to delve into the roots of it now!” Xiao Tian said as he pulled Yu Ningxue to sit on a nearby bench, ”The urgent task now is to prepare early, the more preparedness we have, the more hope we hold!”

”So you’ve decided to believe Ozawa Miwa’s information?” Yu Ningxue couldn’t help but worry, ”What if she’s deliberately leading you in the wrong direction?”

Xiao Tian paused for a moment and said, ”I don’t think she’s guiding me somewhere on purpose, and besides, she has no reason to mislead me!”

”Think carefully, what benefit does she gain from telling me this news?!” Xiao Tian chuckled lightly, ”At most, she just urges me to be more wary of the enemy, increasing security measures!”

”In that case, even if she gives me false information, how would that trap me?” Xiao Tian continued to analyze, ”Is it to have me heavily guarded, fully prepared, only to not come, standing me up? To make me feel like my efforts were in vain?”

Yu Ningxue nodded, Xiao Tian’s analysis made sense, but didn’t this make her previous doubts seem unnecessary?

Thinking of this, Yu Ningxue couldn’t help but flush a little.

Seeing the embarrassed yet utterly charming look on Yu Ningxue’s face, Xiao Tian comforted her, ”That said, your suspicions were quite reasonable, after this is over, let’s investigate thoroughly?”

Yu Ningxue leaned her head on Xiao Tian’s shoulder and softly agreed, ”Okay!”

Xiao Tian wrapped his arm around Yu Ningxue’s back and placed it over her shoulder, so the beloved in his embrace would not feel uncomfortable.

The two of them leaned against each other like this, looking from afar like a couple in distress in a painting, yet the atmosphere was extraordinarily warm, filling one’s heart with warmth!

...

The warm atmosphere did not last long and was interrupted by a barely audible cough from the hospital room.

Yu Ningxue and Xiao Tian exchanged a glance, then he rapidly led her to the door of the hospital room, his other hand gripping the doorknob to open it.

Xiao Tian was just about to step in, but felt his hand tugged. Turning back, he saw Yu Ningxue with her head lowered, softly saying, ”I... I think I’ll wait for you outside!”

Xiao Tian, who was about to persuade her, upon seeing Yu Ningxue’s demeanor, could only nod and swallow back his words, entering alone.

Seeing Lin Bingxuan on the hospital bed, her face as pale as if heavily caked with foundation, Xiao Tian held her hand as waves of pain surged in his heart!

”You’re awake!”

Xiao Tian’s own voice startled him when he spoke, his hoarse voice was as low as someone who’d regained the ability to speak after having hot oil poured into their throat.

With a couple of dry coughs, trying to restore his voice, he felt a faint force from the hand he was holding, trying to lift his arm.

Xiao Tian clearly understood Lin Bingxuan’s intention, not moving her arm but lowering his head to rest his face next to hers.

Lin Bingxuan tightly pursed her lips, fearing she might burst into tears, yet her tears streamed uncontrollably down her face!

”I... I had a... a very scary dream!” Lin Bingxuan’s weak voice reached Xiao Tian’s ears, ”I thought I’d never see you again!”

Seeing Lin Bingxuan’s strained yet genuinely heartfelt smile, a tear slid down Xiao Tian’s face, wiped away by Lin Bingxuan’s hand.

”I’m sorry!” Lin Bingxuan’s eyes were exceptionally sincere, as if fearing Xiao Tian wouldn’t believe her, ”I no longer want to die!”

Hearing Lin Bingxuan speak her mind sincerely, Xiao Tian showed a joyful smile, pure and innocent like a child receiving candy!

”I will... I will cooperate with your treatment!” Lin Bingxuan said, her face already flushed, ”Auntie just said, once I recover, she wants us to have a wedding...”

As she spoke, Lin Bingxuan’s voice became barely audible, possibly due to weakness or shyness, yet Xiao Tian heard every word.

”Alright!” Xiao Tian earnestly promised, ”Once you’re better, we’ll...”

Before he finished, Lin Bingxuan spoke again, ”Is Sister Ningxue outside?”

Xiao Tian instinctively nodded, not knowing what Lin Bingxuan intended!

”Let her come in! I have something to say to her!” After speaking, she signaled Xiao Tian to bring her in.

As Xiao Tian brought Yu Ningxue in, the latter had her head lowered like a child being reprimanded, her gaze fixed on the ground, feeling somewhat at a loss!

”You go out first!” Lin Bingxuan said to Xiao Tian, ”We have some private things to discuss!”

Xiao Tian retreated upon her words, while Yu Ningxue’s heart started to flutter, thinking: Private, private talk, could it be to hold her accountable for her matters with Xiao Tian?

Although Xiao Tian had promised his sincerity to her, that was only his personal thought, it didn’t necessarily mean Lin Bingxuan could accept it!

Yu Ningxue buried her head lower, knowing she was at fault first, so even if she was scolded or criticized, it was deserved!

Thinking this calmed Yu Ningxue’s anxious heart a little.

Just as she felt breathless from the silence and tension, Lin Bingxuan gently beckoned from the bed, ”Ningxue, can you sit next to me?”

Yu Ningxue, in disbelief, raised her head, doubting her hearing somewhat?!

She had imagined their first conversation countless times, but such a calm, composed talk was something she had never dared to think of!

”You... cough.” Lin Bingxuan, fearing Yu Ningxue might not hear clearly, tried to raise her volume, ending up in a cough, prompting Yu Ningxue to quickly walk to her side, nervously asking, ”Bingxuan, please don’t be mad, I...”

Hearing Yu Ningxue mistake her coughing for anger, Lin Bingxuan struggled to grasp her hand, feeling the dampness, obviously due to Yu Ningxue’s nervous sweat!

Yu Ningxue instinctively held Lin Bingxuan’s hand, following the faint guiding force from her to sit beside her, yet her heart still struggled to find calm!

”You’ve worked hard all this time taking care of me!”

Yu Ningxue was startled by these surprising words, her eyes widening, her face then flushing as she shyly said, ”Sister, don’t be so polite, it—it’s what I should do!”

Then she felt she might have said something wrong again, what did she mean by ’should’?

Yu Ningxue silently cursed herself, wondering why she couldn’t say the right thing at the right time?

She couldn’t help but think whether such words would seem like she was trying to get closer!
