Chapter 451: Chapter 448: Assassinating Xiao Tian

After Ren Wenshan stated that the surrounding crowd could testify for him, Lu Sen, though confident that no one dared to speak against his years of influence, couldn’t help but feel uneasy.

What if there’s a clueless tourist from out of town?

Knowing about these incidents is one thing, but openly discussing them is entirely different!

Half a minute passed, and seeing the still silent crowd, Lu Sen relaxed and the smile returned to his face. ”Is this what you call having everyone testify for you?”

”I believe the eyes of the crowd are bright, so whoever saw Lu Kai forcing him to take the medicine, please step forward. If it’s true, even if he’s my nephew, I will handle it seriously!”

Listening to Lu Sen’s righteous words, and his stance for the public, even sacrificing family ties, the crowd inwardly cursed him shamelessly but unconsciously stepped back.

Xiao Tian chuckled coldly; this Lu Sen was indeed cunning, twisting Ren Wenshan’s forced ingestion of a biochemical weapon into merely taking medicine. Truly a master at playing with words!

Yet, Ren Wenshan believed the young man called Xiao Tian in front needed merely an excuse, and judging by Lu Sen’s attitude towards him, it was clear this person was not easy to provoke!

Xiao Tian glanced at Lu Sen, naturally indifferent towards Ren Wenshan’s evidence. They were all birds of a feather, not worth mentioning, but since Lu Sen was cooperating, he wouldn’t hold back!

”I think it’s necessary to ask the police officers to assist, temporarily gather and hold onto phones and cameras with recording capabilities. If any footage can confirm the victim’s statements, Director Lu, you must uphold your promise to the people and handle it seriously!”

”We don’t have the right to do that!” Lu Sen hurriedly shirked. ”At least without irrefutable evidence, we have no right to act!”

Xiao Tian nodded, displaying an understanding expression. ”Then this hotel should have surveillance, right? As long as we retrieve...”

”Are you really determined to oppose our Lu Family?” Lu Sen was ready to tear things apart; despite his submissive behavior, this Young Master Zhong was relentless. Did he think the Lu Family’s years of establishment in Lu Province were in vain?

”Firstly, you don’t represent the Lu Family!” Xiao Tian’s words were calm, but they rang with an authority that seemed almost divine.

”Secondly, what is your Lu Family anyway?” Xiao Tian’s words were arrogant and domineering. ”Do you think you deserve to use them to pressure me?”

”You, you!”

Lu Sen couldn’t believe this Young Master Zhong was so brazen, showing no regard for being on another’s territory, with not even a hint of restraint!

”I don’t want to use family influence to crush, but you can guess; even if I kill you two today, will your backing, the Lu Family, really oppose me?”

Lu Sen felt a cold sweat running down his back, realizing Xiao Tian’s words were correct: the Zhong Family and Lu Family are leagues apart.

Even though the Lu Family might dominate in Lu Province, in Kyoto, they wouldn’t dare provoke the Zhong Family or even a slightly smaller family.

Thus, even if Xiao Tian truly killed the two today, the most they would receive would be a half-hearted apology from the Zhong Family!

No!

Xiao Tian could even use the fabricated biochemical weapon to force the Lu Family into a corner, causing their downfall, casting Lu Kai as the family’s disgrace and unforgivable!

And if Xiao Tian’s estimate is correct, the chances of the Lu Family offending Xiao Tian and the Zhong Family for these two are less than ten percent!

By now, Lu Sen’s face was drenched in sweat, and his eyelid twitched as a droplet fell into his eyes, causing him to blink unconsciously, unable to utter a word.

”Director Lu!” A doctor in a white coat approached Lu Sen and whispered, ”Mr. Lu’s condition... isn’t looking good!”

”What do you mean by not looking good?”

Upon hearing his nephew’s poor condition, Lu Sen immediately snapped out of his daze and anxiously asked, ”Is his life in danger?”

Lu Sen, over fifty, had no children of his own, and having been close to Lu Kai since childhood, he treated Lu Kai like his son. Hearing the doctor’s words caused him great distress!

”As of now, it seems the nerves in Mr. Lu’s left hand...”

”Don’t talk to me in medical terms.” Lu Sen interrupted impatiently, ”What’s the outcome?”

”The outcome...” The doctor hesitated, unsure of how to respond, fearing Director Lu might not withstand the news about his nephew.

”It’s fine!” Lu Sen nodded to the doctor. ”I can handle it!”

”He may need an amputation!” The doctor quickly said, gritting his teeth.

Lu Sen was thunderstruck, his mouth gaping for a long time...

”Can’t you try any other way?”

Just as the doctor was about to answer Lu Sen’s question, a petite nurse ran up to him and whispered something in his ear, causing him to look increasingly anxious!

”You must decide quickly; if we proceed with amputation, he could keep his forearm. Delay any longer, and even his forearm...”

The doctor didn’t finish, but Lu Sen could infer the rest!

”Operate on him!”

Having said this, Lu Sen’s already aged face seemed to grow even more worn.

”Young Master Zhong, could I have a word with you?”

Lu Sen approached Xiao Tian quietly, his tone more pleading than questioning!

Xiao Tian didn’t respond verbally and only nodded, leading the way forward.

Having Xiao Tian’s agreement, Lu Sen followed with sluggish steps, while his right hand slowly reached towards his waist...

Walking ahead, Xiao Tian’s ear subtly twitched. Though Lu Sen’s movements were discreet, he detected them.

Realizing Lu Sen harbored murderous intent, Xiao Tian began to make his calculations.

It was clear Lu Sen’s concern for Lu Kai surpassed the typical relationship between an uncle and nephew; his willingness to kill upon hearing Lu Kai might need amputation made this evident!

If that’s the case...

Xiao Tian formed a conclusion, adjusting his steps slightly, though Lu Sen, behind him, didn’t notice.

At this moment, Lu Sen was fixated solely on how to stealthily ambush Xiao Tian without being detected, disregarding Xiao Tian’s change in pace.

Moreover, Xiao Tian’s adjustments were minimal, slowly deviating from the intended direction.

Seeing Xiao Tian apparently unaware, Lu Kai sneered cruelly. ”Die!”

With the boom of a gunshot, Xiao Tian suddenly moved, Lu Sen only caught a blur before his target vanished.

What happened next made him scream in anguish!

”No!!!”
