Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Not long ago, besides hosting a meal for Balabamo and others, Lu Li also took the opportunity to get to know them a little.

Balabamo’s group was equipped with high-tech translators, allowing their speech to be converted into Earth’s languages.

Therefore, even if Uncle Long, George, and the Great Emperor didn’t understand alien languages, they could still communicate with Balabamo and his team of aliens.

The time came to negotiate serious matters, and all the reporters quieted down.

The super AI assistant ”Pangu” first projected a virtual screen, introducing both parties’ reporters to Earth and the situation of the Interstellar Alliance.

Finally, the meeting officially began.

Balabamo was the first to speak, ”Dear Mr. Lu Li, before coming to Earth, one hundred and eight... no, seven Steward Planets of our Orion Interstellar Alliance conducted a vote regarding the invitation for Earth’s civilization to join the Interstellar Alliance. The proposal passed unanimously, so I now formally represent the Orion Arm Interstellar Alliance’s 1,324 member races to officially invite Earth’s civilization to join and become one of the Steward Planets.”

Everyone turned to look at Lu Li.

Lu Li responded with a smile, ”Dear Mr. Balabamo, it is an honor for Earth’s civilization to join the Orion Arm Interstellar Alliance and become one of the Steward Planets as a part of the Orion Arm.”

Uncle Long, George, the Great Emperor, and others looked excited.

Earth joining the Interstellar Alliance means humanity is stepping from Earth into the cosmos.

This is undoubtedly a historic event.

As participants, they will surely be recorded in history; it’s no exaggeration to say they will be remembered forever.

Naturally, they were thrilled.

On the other side, the leaders of the Purple Potato Titan Race, the Black Stone Race, the Silver Wisdom Tree Race, and other aliens also let out a sigh of relief.

They were really afraid Lu Li would refuse, as no one wants to antagonize such a terrifying single-species entity; all hope to be in the same camp.

Balabamo continued, ”It’s delightful that Earth’s civilization is willing to join the Orion Arm Interstellar Alliance. Here, I want to say to Mr. Lu and all Earth’s people, welcome to this big family.”

Lu Li said, ”Thank you.”

Balabamo continued, ”Just as a family has rules and a nation has laws, the Interstellar Alliance also has its rules. Since Earth’s civilization has joined, it should abide by the rules of the Interstellar Alliance. Let me introduce them.”

Lu Li gestured, ”Please.”

Balabamo introduced, ”The rules of the Interstellar Alliance are divided into four parts. The first part stipulates the principles, functions, and organization settings of the Interstellar Alliance; the second part is the Charter of Basic Rights, clarifying the basic rights of citizens of each race in the Interstellar Alliance; the third part details the decision-making mechanism of the Interstellar Alliance and the implementation details of various policies, which is the longest part of the rules, and we’ll go through it slowly later; the fourth part stipulates how treaties come into effect. I’ll have someone read it in detail.”

Lu Li said, ”Okay.”

A woman from the Night Cloud Race, who seemed to play an assistant role, stood up. She adjusted her high-tech glasses, on which some text appeared, ”First, the Spiral Arm Star Realm’s economic integration, under the common organizations within the Interstellar Alliance that have super-racial character composed of two or more planetary civilizations, by formulating unified internal and external economic policies, fiscal, and financial policies...”

This is a very long rule.

Although detailed documents will be received later, Lu Li listened very intently throughout.

The main idea is that with Earth’s civilization joining the Interstellar Alliance, all previous currencies must be changed to Alliance Coin, as well as some Alliance laws, free trade zones, and so on.

Of course, the most crucial part is to jointly advance and retreat to defend against formidable enemies.

If any civilization is invaded by an external civilization, other Alliance members are obliged to help in defense.

Moreover, while races within the Alliance can go to war due to frictions, they must declare it to the Alliance before the war begins and can only initiate conflict once a consensus is reached.

There are also other aspects like technology-sharing level systems, tariffs, etc.

The Night Cloud Race female assistant read the rules for nearly two hours.

At this point, both sides appeared very harmonious.

However, as they moved to the next negotiation phase, disharmonious factors began to emerge.

Balabamo said, ”Earth’s civilization is currently still weak. Upholding the principle of support and assistance, the Alliance has decided to provide Earth’s civilization with some technology and stellar system resources.”

They were discussing the most important issue.

Uncle Long, George, and the Great Emperor all perked up their ears.

The Earthly journalists also became attentive, eager to hear how many stellar system resources the Alliance would allocate to Earth.

Lu Li said, ”Thank you for the support and help from the Alliance. I would like to know the level of technology support and how many stellar system resources will be allocated?”

Balabamo said, ”We will discuss technology support later. Let’s first talk about the issue of stellar system resources.”

The alien team on his side all had their eyes glistening.

Everyone knew why Balabamo wanted to postpone discussing technology support.

Because if Earth’s civilization asks for fewer stellar system resources, they will provide more technology support.

If they ask for more stellar system resources, unfortunately, only limited technology support can be given.

As for wanting more advanced technology, you’ll need to develop the stellar system resources and then spend money to purchase it.

Lu Li, able to perceive others’ innermost thoughts, naturally knew what these aliens were thinking.
