Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

The important thing is, Lu Li can make the people around him very powerful, so from now on he doesn’t have to worry about them encountering danger without his protection.

In this way, he can wholeheartedly devote himself to ”comprehending the Tao.”

Thinking of this, Lu Li couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief and didn’t plan to continue ”stealing” things from the Fantasy World, as doing so was indeed too time-consuming and energy-intensive.

He plans to return to Earth later and completely replicate the structure and composition of the peaches that mature once every six thousand years and the peaches that mature once every nine thousand years, and then distribute different peaches according to the closeness of the people around him.

His parents, grandmother, aunt, uncle, and other family members, as well as Liu Kexin and Julia Giannini, were in the first tier.

Shen Xia, Li Yajing, Gu Wei, Liu Ke Ping, Liu Yeli, and Henry Giannini were placed in the second tier.

As for Peng Erping and others, they could only fall into the third tier.

After deciding, Lu Li unhesitatingly returned to his ”Will” form and headed back to Earth.

...

In the super base.

As soon as Lu Li returned, he wanted to find a test subject to see if the real effects of the three-thousand-year-mature peach matched his analysis exactly.

There used to be a lot of people in the super base, but since the crisis was resolved, most people went back home to reunite with their families.

Now, there aren’t many people left in the super base. Besides his parents, grandmother, and aunt, only Shen Xia, Liu Kexin, Julia Giannini, and others remain.

Oh, and there’s Wang Yu.

This old classmate completely changed after the gamma-ray burst incident, when Lu Li brought him and his family to the super base. His loyalty to Lu Li is unquestionable; even without a salary, he insists on helping out here, even though there’s not much work to do in the super base. Still, his actions show his attitude.

Near the reactor room.

Lu Li found Wang Yu, who was helping move supplies, and asked, ”Old Wang, busy?”

Wang Yu quickly put down the stones in his hand and patted his hands, ”It’s not bad. When did you come back?”

”Just returned recently.” Lu Li pointed at the stones on the ground, ”This kind of thing can be done by robots; you don’t need to do it yourself.”

Wang Yu chuckled, ”I’m just idling here, might as well find something to do.”

Lu Li blinked, ”I have a more important task for you.”

Upon hearing this, Wang Yu replied energetically, ”Whatever the task is, just say it, and I’ll guarantee to do it even if I have to risk my life.”

”No, it’s not that serious.” Lu Li waved his hand, ”I’m planning to form a guard corps called ’Eternal Star Lord,’ with about five hundred to a thousand members, and the commander of this corps must be someone I trust, as they will protect me and my family in the future.”

Wang Yu smiled wryly, ”I understand protecting your family, but do you still need protection?”

Lu Li laughed heartily, ”True, I misspoke. I’ve thought it over—you are someone I trust, so I might let you be the commander of this guard corps. What do you think?”

”I’m afraid I’m not fit for it.” Wang Yu frankly admitted, ”Back in police school, although I learned some reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance, and some combat skills, I’m not very proficient, so I’m afraid I can’t take on such a heavy responsibility.”

”It’s okay; many things can be learned over time.”

Lu Li reassured him, ”What I need is someone I can trust, and you are that person.”

Wang Yu was somewhat moved, ”Alright, since you trust me so much, I will undoubtedly do this well.”

Lu Li started steering the conversation back on track, ”Hmm, I trust your attitude, but some things require more than just attitude; you need a strong physique to fulfill the duties of a Guard Commander.”

Wang Yu clenched his fists, ”I will work hard to train my body, ensuring it becomes very strong.”

”Hey, training takes too long.” Lu Li showed his true intentions, reached out, and placed a three-thousand-year-mature peach in his palm, ”Eat this.”

Wang Yu has unconditional trust in Lu Li now; he didn’t even ask anything and directly ate the peach he was given.

In the end, he was left with only the peach pit before he asked, ”What kind of peach is this? It tastes quite good.”

Lu Li honestly replied, ”This is the Queen Mother’s three-thousand-year-mature peach.”

”Pfft.” Wang Yu thought Lu Li was joking and laughed heartily, ”The Queen Mother’s peach? Did you steal it from the Celestial Court...”

Before he finished speaking, he felt a surge of immense power rising within him.

Suddenly, Wang Yu felt his body become very ”light.”

This ”light” wasn’t a reduction in weight but an indescribable ”lightness.”

He had an instinct that he seemed capable of jumping twenty meters high.

Wang Yu was quite stunned and said, ”Old... Old Lu, did you really give me the Queen Mother’s peach?”

Lu Li didn’t speak but instead, with a thought, extracted the ”peach power” from Wang Yu’s body, returning it to its original energy form.

The next moment, that magical feeling in Wang Yu disappeared, and he felt terribly ”weak.”

Just as he was puzzled, Lu Li conjured another three-thousand-year-mature peach in his palm, ”Alright, eat this.”

Wang Yu didn’t understand why Lu Li gave him two peaches to eat consecutively, but sticking to the principle of not asking unnecessary questions, he took it and ate it again.

Moments later, he experienced that surge of power again, and this time it didn’t dissipate!

Additionally, Wang Yu’s skin seemed to improve at that moment, changing from slightly tanned to fair and smooth, like a girl’s.

He looked at his hands in disbelief, ”Old Lu, why do I feel full of power all over?”

Lu Li smiled, ”Jump hard once, and see how high you can go.”

Wang Yu quickly responded, ”Okay.”

He took a deep breath, bent his knees, and suddenly jumped up, leaping into the sky.

Lu Li watched closely, noticing that Wang Yu reached about eighteen meters from the ground at his highest point.

After a while, Wang Yu fell from the sky, laughing and shouting, perhaps failing to control his strength in the first attempt, he fell into the mud, but instead of feeling pain, he quickly got up, excitedly saying, ”Damn! Old Lu! Damn! This peach you gave me is incredible! I jumped eighteen to twenty meters high after eating it! Did you see? Damn! Damn! It’s just too awesome!”

He repeated ”damn” many times, indicating how shocked he was internally.

Lu Li chuckled, ”Stop saying damn, test some other aspects now.”

Wang Yu was extremely excited, ”Sure, what’s next?”

Lu Li said, ”One hundred meters then.”

Afterward, Wang Yu underwent a series of tests.

Lu Li kept recording beside him.

The final test results were:

Vertical jump with no run-up: about eighteen meters.

Standing long jump: forty meters.

One hundred meters sprint: 1.72 seconds.

Eight hundred meters: 10.88 seconds.

Three thousand meters: 38.55 seconds.

One thousand kilograms bench press...

A series of data were quite shocking.

At least for ordinary people, these figures were terrifying.

Wang Yu was pretty scared after knowing these data.

Lu Li reflected on these numbers, roughly judging Wang Yu’s improvements.

He was slightly stronger than when his physique was eight times better back then.

In other words, Wang Yu’s tenfold boost in physical fitness was not as powerful as genetic unlocking and development.

This point might not be significant within a tenfold enhancement of physical fitness.

However, if expanded to several dozen times, the gap would become very obvious.

Indeed, enhancement through external force and self-enhancement had a significant disparity.

Nonetheless, Lu Li was still quite satisfied.

Because after a series of tests, he could finally confirm that he could completely create a ”superhuman” guard corps with the three-thousand-year-mature peach.

Additionally, he could retrieve this power at any time.

He understood that Earth’s civilization might take a turn in the future, possibly not continuing to advance in technology but rather entering a ”superpower” civilization governed by individual powers!

Great!

Getting the peaches from the Fantasy World was really wonderful!

Lu Li never imagined that originally, getting the peaches was just to prolong the life of those around him, but it ended up making him a ”one and only” being.

It must be said, spending some time getting items from the Fantasy World was truly the right decision!
