Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3121 Harvesting

Without being able to do anything, even though an Anarchic Divergent interfered with the strikes, the crimson-gold tribulation clouds receded, leaving behind nothing of concern. It could only retreat like a sore loser, thundering with threats until it completely disappeared.

However, Davis wasnʼt complacent or overly smug.

He shook lightly, feeling a significant amount of karmic burden fall on him. The strangest thing was he was able to perceive it even before it sprouted in him, but he still felt like he would be unable to do anything about it. Regardless, he shook his head, feeling that this amount was nothing compared to what he already had.

There was a sense of pride in his heart as he gazed at Dalila, now knowing how this sweet woman managed to accomplish such a thing that it could be said that she had blown through his expectations like a blazing comet. He rejoiced because he had annihilative heavenly flames in his possession now, which he could finally fuse to perfect his Essence Gathering Cultivationʼs Physique, not to mention that he could also rise to the peak of the Immortal King Stage with the remaining amount of energy left in the annihilative heavenly flame wisps that he was currently refining.

At the very least, he was confident he could reach Level Eight Immortal King Stage, but the reaction between the three attributes in his Physique made him think that it could boost him to Level Nine or the very peak.

Nonetheless, his gaze also fell on another woman who went along with this madness.

”…”

Tinaʼs gaze met Davis. Her amethyst eyes were watery, appearing to be full of affection for him as her lips moved.

”We believed you would interfere after the last strike to save us…”

Davis descended, heading towards Tina. He arrived before her, giving her a brief yet close look over her battered figure and free-flowing white hair. His mouth opened, wanting to praise her, but he also remembered how petrified he felt while watching these two undergo this botched tribulation abruptly.

It wouldʼve been still fine if they faced it with the intent to cross it, but these two were crazy, intending to capture these heavenly entities.

”Why didnʼt you two discuss it with me beforehand?” He asked, causing Tinaʼs expression to turn awkward.

Originally, she had planned with Dalila to keep the destructive heavenly lightning and flames in check so Davis could absorb them later and gain more power or even give the latter as a gift to their sister, Zestria. This should not pose much of a threat to them, so they were confident and even expectant to have a face-off with the tribulation, but the moment the annihilative heavenly tribulation descended, they were almost scared out of their wits.

Still, they maintained their sanity and communicated on the spot what this annihilative heavenly tribulation could mean, and Dalila eventually arrived at the conclusion that the Soulforge Elevation Resonance Pill, Epsila, could somehow enter the next fabled tier, the Exalted Tier.

Even Tina was not aware of this information, but once she heard from Dalila that there was a chance that Epsila could enter the thirteenth rank, she decided to go with their original plan since if Epsila successfully entered the thirteenth rank, then she should be able to defend against the tribulation strikes or even keep them in bay until Davis interfered after the tribulation ended so that he could plunder them.

They were not even ten percent sure of their plan but still decided to stake it all, even squeezing their wits to suppress the annihilative heavenly flames between Tyriele and Epsila while Dalila controlled them.

Eventually, their risky actions paid off.

”Tell me…” Davis urged with narrowed eyes, causing Tina to pout.

”You wouldnʼt have let us do it then…”

”…”

Davis had no words to say.

He felt he was still right in being protective, but he was not rigid enough to know that sometimes, being overprotective means restricting the growth potential of the protected individual. However, he didnʼt like to take any chances with his beauties as the opposite was also true.

They could die, and he would have no corner to cry and feel regret.

Each and every one of them was so precious to him that he could not fathom letting them encounter extreme danger without a failsafe.

”Are you angry…? Please donʼt be-”

”How can I be angry…?” Davis shook his head, ”You two did this for me, and Iʼm deeply moved but donʼt… do it again. I would rather face the tribulation myself as it is less scary even if there are more odds to die.”

Tina came closer, ensuring that Davis was not lying before she pouted.

Why was he always trying to endure everything by himself? She felt that it was not fair to him.

However, she inwardly sighed, knowing that this was also endearing about him. After all, was this not the man she loved? A man who would go to any lengths to make them feel safe?

Feeling heartened, Tina saw that Dalila was fine and giggled.

”That pause made it sound like you want us to do it again.”

”I emphasized ʼdonʼtʼ do it again!”

”!~”

Tinaʼs bosoms trembled as she suppressed her laughter before she took a step back and appeared before Tyriele.

”Dear, please come here. Thereʼs still one more thing left to deal with…”

”…”

Davis blinked, wondering what she was going on about, but still did as she requested, appearing beside her. Tina gave an anticipating smile as though wanting to see his reaction as she pulled open the lid on the cauldron, causing something to crackle.

*Bzzzz!~*

Annihilative heavenly lightning crackled in the form of a dragon, causing Davis to be shocked.

”Careful!”

He quickly moved Tina aside as he held her arm and burst forth with an immense amount of soul force that covered the entire kilometer in a pure white sphere in an instant, causing Tina and the others to be shocked. His prowess at the peak of Mid Stage Immortal Emperor cultivation was purely stunning and wonderful when it was an amalgamation of life energy.

Tina had no doubt it would suppress the annihilative heavenly lightning easily, but she lightly smiled.

”Thereʼs no need to be cautious about it…”

”…?”

Davis became confused after hearing Tinaʼs words, but his eyes flickered, his expression turning shocked.

”You donʼt mean…?”

He once again took a closer look at the annihilative heavenly lightning dragon and saw that its Will had been actually erased.

ʼNo… this is refined, a bit half-assed but still an annihilative heavenly lightning strand…!ʼ

Tina saw his reaction and smiled proudly, ”With our machinations, Epsila somehow absorbed the annihilative heavenly lightning dragonʼs Will and allowed her to temper her own soul, which is why she could challenge the annihilative heavenly flame dragon, I think. But Dalila is truly a heavenly genius. At that last moment, she devised a way to cook the remnant Will of the annihilative heavenly lightning dragon by using the annihilative heavenly flame dragon as the fuel, allowing me to hold the annihilative heavenly lightning strand with ease instead of battling with its Will.”

”You… you mean she devised a way to actually refine heavenly lightning by using heavenly flames at the spot…?”

”That… would be the case.”

Tina nodded to Davisʼs incredulity, causing him to be shook.

As far as he knew, only Fallen Heaven and he were capable of refining heavenly lightning. Perhaps Myria could do it if she tried, and there were other ridiculous physiques that could achieve the same result, but using annihilative heavenly flames to heat the cauldron and refine the annihilative heavenly lightning in it, even being able to erase its Will?

He didnʼt know what to say.

Dalila was a true genius, as Tina said, but he felt Tyriele was a monster to be able to endure these annihilative heavenly flames.

Coming out of his reverie, he hurriedly checked on Tyriele and saw that its crimson body was extremely scorched. Even the magical beast patterns that made most of her runes were damaged. Perhaps, if she had endured the annihilative heavenly flame dragon for even two more seconds, then she wouldʼve melted.

”Tyriele, are you fine?”

”Master, I feel a bit weak…”

Tyriele answered in an anxious tone, ”Although Iʼm afraid I canʼt concoct pills anymore, I assume itʼs nothing bad as my spirit is still unhurt.”

”Donʼt worry. Iʼll have Sophie treat you soon.”

Davis comforted Tyriele before he could sense her spirit relax, appearing eager. He smiled, turning to look at Epsila, wanting to see what kind of changes she had undergone.

In the distance, a crimson-purple-robed figure stood there stunned, unable to believe what had just happened.

She gazed at the two battered women near Davis with disbelief as she had initially thought of them to be nothing more than a burden, yet with their weak prowess, they managed to quell a tribulation at the level of an Anarchic Divergent.

An Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation didnʼt just consist of prowess to defend against because it is said it is as tyrannical as a dragonʼs heavenly tribulation! So, for these two to overcome it with their Wills spoke volumes of their determination and their latent potential.

ʼI was wrong…?ʼ

Fairy Thunderblaze narrowed her eyes, appearing to be solemn as she had been rarely wrong when measuring a personʼs worth.
