Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3099 A Dark Flower

On the precipice of a majestic waterfall, three factions stood, each eying the dark flower with intense desire. The flower exuded an eerie aura that sent shivers down the spine, yet its allure was undeniable, promising untold power to anyone who could harness its secrets.

The first group was the Golden Rose Lower Realm, adorned in robes of vibrant red and gold. Their leader was a beautiful woman, an auburn-haired woman possessing fiery eyes that mirrored the fierce determination burning within her.

Facing them was the Ivory Moon Sanctuary Lower Realm, a group of enigmatic cultivators cloaked in silver and deep purple garments. Their leader was a woman with silver hair who appeared to be a master of illusions and moon-based cultivation techniques. She had a serene expression, appearing to be one with nature.

Lastly, the Thunderforge Citadel Lower Realm stood poised for the confrontation. Clad in blue and black armor, this group was led by an armored man with a towering figure, his countenance as unforgiving as a storm.

Each faction naturally had five people chosen to fulfill their roles in this vast Minor Realm, yet all of them exuded a powerful aura not to be messed with easily.

Davis had just appeared on the scene, but their loud, booming voice could be very well heard hundreds of kilometers away as they spared no effort in talking loud and releasing their undulations to the max in order to intimidate each other.

From what he knew, sensed, and understood, the Golden Rose Lower Realm was known for their mastery of fire-based cultivation techniques, and they believed that the dark flower contained the essence of a celestial flame that would elevate their powers to new heights.

The Ivory Moon Sanctuary Lower Realm believed that the dark flower held the key to unlocking ancient moonlit circulation, granting them unparalleled control over shadows and illusions.

Thunderforge Citadel Lower Realm specialized in thunder-based cultivation, and they coveted the dark flower, believing that it contained the essence of a legendary thunder seed, which could grant them dominion over thunder and lightning.

They argued over who should obtain this Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Heavenly Resource. Their standoff was tense, and no group was willing to make the first move. All three leaders were wary of each otherʼs prowess, and none were willing to risk a premature clash. Instead, they engaged in a war of words, attempting to negotiate a truce or at least some terms for a competition with the dark flower as a reward.

To him, this dark flower was already an enigma.

Its features were recorded in the list he plundered, but there was nothing written about its name or effects.

”Myria, what do you make of this?”

”I donʼt know, and I wouldnʼt unless I go investigate closer.”

”…”

Surprisingly, even Myria didnʼt know what to make of it as the dark flower gave countless undulations as though it was an illusion-attributed flower.

But since Myria didnʼt know, Davis understood that this was a new heavenly resource born in these times rather than millions of years ago. It was relatively new, which also made sense as to why none of the alchemists in the opposing three factions knew.

”Haha~ What do we have here?”

But as they neared the dark flower in order to get it, they were naturally seen by the three factions, the man clad in blue armor appearing to laugh as he seemed amused by his group. He pointed at them and looked at the other two fairies.

”Is this allowed, Fairy Ruyan and Fairy Nila? There are more than twenty people in that group.”

”They seem to be from different groups.” Fairy Nila from the Ivory Moon Sanctuary Lower Realm responded to the blue-armored man with a slight frown, unsure of the situation.

”Then which realm are they from? They appear to be immortals.” Fairy Ruyan also frowned, ”It couldnʼt be the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm, right? I donʼt recognize any single one of them.”

”Impossible to say that there arenʼt other immortals out there as there are hundreds of Minor Realms where they could be also living.”

The blue-armored man shrugged, causing Fairy Ruyan to appear even more doubtful.

”Still, only a portion were invited, right?”

”But we donʼt know about every Minor Realm in the first place to make an assumption. Why donʼt we just ask them nicely?”

”Then letʼs get to know em~”

Fairy Ruyan and the blue-armored man laughed slyly, but Fairy Nila frowned.

”Now is not the time.”

She turned to look at Davis, her gaze dense as she unleashed a heavy aura towards them.

”Whoever you are, if you donʼt want to be harmed, just leave.”

”…”

Sophie and the others frowned as they could recognize the prowess of those three people at the forefront.

They appeared to be at the level of Kingly Monarchs. However, their frown didnʼt stem from worry but annoyance.

ʼAnother group that hasnʼt encountered the people from the First Haven World. Looks like they really donʼt know of us yet…ʼ

Davis inwardly sighed before turning to look towards Myria.

However, Myriaʼs figure faded, causing him to turn to look at the dark flower where her figure reappeared. She bent down, appearing to reach out her hand.

”What!?”

”Stop!”

”Wait!”

The leaders of the factions had just noticed Myria near the dark flower in shock, but as soon as they recognized that she was going to touch it, they held their ears and hurriedly retreated.

*Ahhhhhh!~~~*

Suddenly, a bone-chilling sound pierced the air – a scream that seemed to reverberate through the very soul of those who heard it. The sound was layered and multifaceted. It contained echoes of sorrow as if it mourned some long-lost world or a forgotten tragedy. Yet, within the same wail, there was a note of anger, a forceful proclamation that dared anyone to approach further. It seemed to warn the cultivators that meddling with its dominion would not be taken lightly.

The scream didnʼt stop. It appeared to be alive, perhaps even having a conscious soul.

It carried an unsettling melody that seemed to touch the boundaries of madness. It was neither pleasant nor melodious but rather a discordant symphony of eerie harmonies that made oneʼs skin crawl.

Myriaʼs eyes had turned into tiny slits as though she wasnʼt able to deal with this unsettling scream. She suddenly released a strand of life energy, causing the dark flower to instantly shudder and stop its screeching, causing the three factions who thought she was going to die a horrible death to turn shocked.

What was that? They couldnʼt see it properly due to their senses being muddled by the unsettling voice of the dark flower, but the sensation that the womanʼs aura gave was soothing and warm, allowing them to know she subdued the treasure somehow.

As it came to a stop, Myria switched to using darkness energy to pacify it.

Being hit with a move at such a close range, she already knew what this treasureʼs attribute was.

*Boom!~*

The leaders of the three factions shot towards Myria at an insane speed, knowing that it was their chance to get the treasure despite seeing opposite kinds of energy from her. They broke the sound barrier, reaching half the distance when suddenly oppressive undulations directly slammed them into the ground.

They crashed into the raging body of water, carried by the current as they sent into the waterfall.

*Bang!~*

They burst out of the waterfall but were suddenly imposed by an overwhelming soul suppression, causing them to be slammed into the ground once again, but this time, they plunged hundreds of meters and crashed into the water body again, causing water to splash as high as the waterfall peak.

Davis reached out his head to look down satisfactorily before raising his head and looking at the remaining members of the three factions.

”Scram.”
