Chapter 566: Chapter 566: I Will Take Him Away

Just as Qin Feng’s senior brother’s longsword was about to pierce Qin Feng’s back, a figure suddenly appeared beside him, reached out, and seized his wrist in a death grip.

”Qin Feng has already withdrawn from Taiqing Academy. Do you still intend to kill him?” The newcomer was none other than Lin Yun. Stopping Qin Feng’s senior brother, Lin Yun spoke calmly.

This was the moment Lin Yun had been waiting for. It seemed Wei Yunhang really had gone to Qin Feng’s senior brother.

On one hand, an agreement was made with Qin Feng’s master to simply expel Qin Feng from Taiqing Academy. On the other, Wei Yunhang had also sought out Qin Feng’s senior brother and ordered him to take Qin Feng’s life.

Restrained by Lin Yun, Qin Feng’s senior brother was completely powerless. Just then, Wei Yunhang also stepped onto the stage, his eyes filled with a cold glare as he looked at Lin Yun.

”Lin Yun, what is the meaning of this?” Wei Yunhang demanded in a cold voice.

Hearing Wei Yunhang’s words, Lin Yun smiled faintly and replied, ”It’s nothing. Qin Feng is my brother. Since he’s no longer a Disciple of Taiqing Academy, it’s only natural that I take him with me.”

Wei Yunhang’s expression darkened as he stared at Lin Yun. ’That’s right, Qin Feng is a threat to me, and I do want to get rid of him.’

Throughout today’s tournament, Lin Yun had opposed him at every turn. Wei Yunhang had long since reached his Limit. He immediately spoke to Lin Yun in a cold voice.

”Lin Yun, do you really think I can’t do anything to you? Or do you think you can just meddle in the affairs of my Taiqing Academy?”

As Wei Yunhang’s voice fell, the smile on Lin Yun’s face gradually turned cold.

”Wei Yunhang, enough talk. Qin Feng is my brother, and I must take him with me today,” Lin Yun said calmly.

The moment Lin Yun spoke, the atmosphere on the stage instantly grew tense. A crowd of Taiqing Academy’s Core Disciples and Direct Disciples quickly surrounded the entire stage. From the looks of it, they would rush forward and kill Lin Yun at a single word from Wei Yunhang.

”It seems Brother Wei doesn’t plan on letting me leave in one piece today?” Lin Yun remarked calmly, seeing the display of force. A faint smile still touched his lips.

”As long as you don’t interfere in the affairs of my Taiqing Academy, I naturally won’t make things difficult for you,” Wei Yunhang replied coolly upon hearing Lin Yun’s words.

”Haha, no need! Today, I’d like to see just how your Taiqing Academy plans to keep me here.” With a loud laugh, before Wei Yunhang could even react, Lin Yun grabbed Qin Feng’s senior brother by the neck. Right in front of Wei Yunhang, Lin Yun crushed his throat.

He had never imagined that Lin Yun would dare kill Qin Feng’s senior brother right in front of him. Even Qin Feng’s senior brother himself had probably never expected it.

Qin Feng’s senior brother died with a look of utter disbelief on his face, unable to accept that he would meet his end at Lin Yun’s hands.

”Lin Yun... Good. Good. Good. In that case, not a single person from your Flawless Palace will be leaving today.” After saying ”good” three times, an intense killing intent radiated from Wei Yunhang.

As Wei Yunhang finished speaking, the members of Flawless Palace had already gathered by Lin Yun’s side. Aside from two who were injured, there were only a little over ten Flawless Palace disciples in total. Facing the Taiqing Academy disciples who had them completely surrounded, their numbers were woefully inadequate.

’Based on the current situation, the only way is to have He Yuntian and Bai Zhicheng lead the others. The moment the fighting starts, they must find the Firebirds at once. Only by mounting the Firebirds do I and the others have any hope of escaping Taiqing Academy.’

The Flawless Palace disciples all nodded in agreement with Lin Yun’s decision. At this moment, Lin Yun wasn’t worried about the Taiqing Academy disciples. Instead, he was concerned about the Main Seat Elders and Supreme Elders seated on the high platform.

If the upper echelons of Taiqing Academy were to make a move, Lin Yun had no certainty of victory. However, getting him to abandon Qin Feng was also impossible.

’In Lin Yun’s mind, whether or not he could escape with Qin Feng today all depended on the attitude of Qin Feng’s master.’

Just as Lin Yun had thought, Qin Feng’s master turned to the Taiqing Institute Director and said with a hint of anger, ”I have already expelled Qin Feng from Taiqing Academy. Must you and your disciple really hunt him down to the last?”

”Senior Uncle, we must pull out the weeds by the roots. This brat Qin Feng cannot be allowed to live,” the Taiqing Institute Director said with a sigh.

As he spoke, the Taiqing Institute Director shot a look at the Main Seat Elders on another high platform. Instantly, several Main Seat Elders soared into the air, about to charge toward Qin Feng to kill him.

However, just as these Main Seat Elders were about to act, Qin Feng’s master roared, ”Who dares to make a move!”

As a Supreme Elder of Taiqing Academy, although he never concerned himself with the academy’s affairs, it was a simple matter for Qin Feng’s master to halt a group of Main Seat Elders. No one wanted to offend a Supreme Elder.

Qin Feng’s master had clashed with the Taiqing Institute Director. Standing on the stage, Lin Yun and the others had also heard the explosive roar from Qin Feng’s master just now.

Wei Yunhang, too, was holding back, waiting for the outcome of the confrontation on the high platform. If he were to act now, he would likely provoke Qin Feng’s master into action, which could very well trigger a civil war within Taiqing Academy.

Hearing his master’s furious shout, Qin Feng’s previously lifeless eyes suddenly snapped toward that figure on the high platform. ’What does Master mean? Is he protecting me?’

After Qin Feng’s master stopped the Main Seat Elders, the Taiqing Institute Director questioned him coldly, ”Senior Uncle, don’t forget, you are a Supreme Elder of Taiqing Academy.”

”I know. That is why I chose you and your disciple over my own. But now that you want to kill him, I absolutely will not stand idly by,” Qin Feng’s master replied.

Neither of the two would yield an inch. The other Supreme Elders at the side began to mediate. Finally, after being persuaded by several Supreme Elders, Qin Feng’s master and the Taiqing Institute Director came to a decision: the upper echelons of Taiqing Academy would not interfere in this matter. It would be treated as an affair of the younger generation.

In other words, the Elders, Main Seat Elders, and Supreme Elders of Taiqing Academy would not act. If Lin Yun and his group could fight their way out of the encirclement of Taiqing Academy disciples alive, they would be let go.

This was the Taiqing Institute Director’s final concession. Left with no other choice, Qin Feng’s master could only compromise.

Gazing at Qin Feng on the stage, his master declared in a loud voice, ”Qin Feng, no matter what, you must survive.”

After speaking, all the Supreme Elders and Main Seat Elders left the main plaza, leaving only Wei Yunhang and the crowd of Taiqing Academy disciples who followed his command.

With the entire upper echelon of Taiqing Academy gone, Wei Yunhang received a voice transmission from his master. Learning of the decision made by his master and the Six Supreme Elders, Wei Yunhang’s face turned cold as he looked at Lin Yun and asked.

”Lin Yun, I’ll ask you one last time. Are you still unwilling to stand down?”

Hearing this, Lin Yun replied almost without thinking, ”Enough talk. Let’s fight.”
