Chapter 560: Chapter 560: One Against 10

Looking at the Taiqing Academy Disciple standing on the arena, Lin Yun said calmly, ”The effects of the Blood Burst Pill in your body are about to reach their limit. Are you planning to chat with me here for a bit, so everyone can see the pill’s aftereffects?”

Lin Yun’s words were blunt, but they struck a nerve with the Taiqing Academy Disciple. His expression changed, and without even having time to reply, he hurried off the arena.

Lin Yun didn’t stop him from leaving. He had He Yuntian take the unconscious Disciple back to recover, then turned to face Wei Yunhang.

”Brother Wei, since the Disciples of Taiqing Academy enjoy sparring with the people of my Flawless Palace so much, how about we let my Demon Beast get on the stage and stretch its legs?” Lin Yun asked Wei Yunhang with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Wei Yunhang knew exactly what Lin Yun was referring to. ’His Demon Beast... isn’t that the War Ape brimming with monstrous Evil Qi? Letting it spar with Taiqing Academy’s Disciples? Isn’t that just asking for them to get crushed?’

However, the people of Taiqing Academy had used Blood Burst Pills first. Although no one said it aloud, it was an open secret. Just as Wei Yunhang was trying to think of a way to refuse, Qin Feng’s senior brother spoke up with a laugh.

”Your Demon Beast? Am I blind? Why don’t I see any sign of a Demon Beast?”

Hearing Qin Feng’s senior brother’s words, the smile on Lin Yun’s lips grew more sinister. ’Originally, I would have had to go to some trouble to force Wei Yunhang to agree, but this senior brother of Qin Feng’s just did me a favor. Now I don’t need Wei Yunhang’s permission.’

”Little Ape, wake up. Someone wants to see you.” Lin Yun called out to the creature sleeping soundly in the fold of his robes. Hearing him, a bleary-eyed Little Ape climbed onto Lin Yun’s shoulder.

Seeing that it was only a fist-sized Demon Beast, Qin Feng’s senior brother immediately burst into laughter. ”This little thing is your Demon Beast?”

”That’s right. What’s wrong? Is it not allowed to spar with the Disciples of Taiqing Academy?” Lin Yun replied with a smile.

”Of course it can, of course. Though if this Demon Beast gets up there, I’m afraid it’ll just be a pet for our Taiqing Academy Disciples, haha.” Qin Feng’s senior brother had no idea how terrifying Little Ape was and felt no threat from it whatsoever.

In terms of concealing its aura, Little Ape was much stronger than even Lin Yun. As long as it remained fist-sized, it looked like an adorable monkey, completely lacking any lethality.

Hearing Qin Feng’s senior brother’s words, Wei Yunhang, who hadn’t been able to stop him in time, looked grim. ’This guy is an absolute pig,’ he fumed internally. ’Does he really think his petty little tricks are enough to challenge Lin Yun? Just you wait. All of his subordinates are about to be brutally crushed by Little Ape.’

”And what is Brother Wei’s opinion?” Now that Qin Feng’s senior brother had spoken, Lin Yun turned back to Wei Yunhang with a smile. Hearing this, Wei Yunhang forced an ugly smile and nodded reluctantly.

Now that Wei Yunhang had nodded, Lin Yun turned back to Qin Feng’s senior brother. ”My Demon Beast is exceptionally ferocious. How about this: you can send ten of your Taiqing Academy Direct Disciples onto the arena at once. My Demon Beast, one against ten. Sound good?”

Hearing this, not only Qin Feng’s senior brother but also the other Taiqing Academy Core Disciples were stunned. After a few seconds, Qin Feng’s senior brother led them in a chorus of raucous laughter. Only Wei Yunhang remained silent, his face grim.

”Haha, this little monkey is ferocious? Hahaha! Fine, fine, we’ll do as Senior Brother Lin says. Pick ten Direct Disciples from Taiqing Academy!” Qin Feng’s senior brother bellowed with laughter.

”Yes, and one more thing,” Lin Yun added. ”Since this is a battle against a Demon Beast, injuries and death are unavoidable. If any Taiqing Academy Disciples are killed or injured, what happens then?”

Hearing this, Wei Yunhang cursed inwardly. ’This is bad. What does Lin Yun mean by that? Does he want to kill someone? And during the Taiqing Academy’s Grand Tournament, no less?’

Just as he was about to speak up and put a stop to it, Qin Feng’s senior brother unexpectedly spoke first. ”Fine! If our Taiqing Academy Disciples are injured or killed, we naturally won’t blame Senior Brother Lin. However, if your Demon Beast dies, you can’t blame our Disciples either.”

”Good. It’s a deal,” Lin Yun agreed crisply, his smile never wavering.

But just as Lin Yun finished speaking, Wei Yunhang suddenly shot to his feet and barked, ”Nonsense! Who gave you the right to speak here?”

The rebuke was, of course, directed at Qin Feng’s senior brother. Right now, Wei Yunhang wanted nothing more than to go over and slap him twice. ’This guy is a complete idiot, walking step-by-step into the trap Lin Yun laid.’

”Brother Wei, what’s the matter? Is Taiqing Academy so faithless? We just made an agreement, and now you’re going back on your word? Or do you simply think the people of my Flawless Palace are easy to bully?” Lin Yun’s voice took on a harder edge as he stared at Wei Yunhang.

Lin Yun had him cornered. It was all the fault of Qin Feng’s senior brother. That idiot had agreed to Lin Yun’s terms without a second thought, and in front of everyone.

Without answering immediately, Wei Yunhang weighed his options. ’If I make an enemy of Lin Yun, I can indeed save the lives of these ten Direct Disciples. But are the lives of ten Direct Disciples worth making an enemy of Lin Yun?’

’Obviously not.’ Wei Yunhang was a smart man. He wouldn’t make an enemy of Lin Yun unless he had absolutely no other choice. After all, it was clear that being on good terms with Lin Yun offered far more benefits than could be compared to the lives of ten Direct Disciples.

He shot a furious glare at Qin Feng’s senior brother. Seeing Wei Yunhang’s expression, Qin Feng’s senior brother finally sensed that something was wrong.

”I will deal with you when we get back. You absolute, stupid pig.” Wei Yunhang moved next to Qin Feng’s senior brother and hissed in a voice only he could hear, his tone dripping with cold fury.

After speaking to Qin Feng’s senior brother, Wei Yunhang turned back to Lin Yun, a smile once again plastered on his face. No matter how one looked at it, however, the smile was ghastly.

”Brother Lin,” Wei Yunhang began in a placating tone, ”Even if my Taiqing Academy Disciples have done wrong, I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive them.”

A sinister smile touched Lin Yun’s lips. He said nothing, but simply pointed to a group of Taiqing Academy Direct Disciples by the side of the arena, seemingly choosing ten at random. Though his gesture appeared casual, all ten of the chosen Disciples were subordinates of Qin Feng’s senior brother—the very same people who had received Blood Burst Pills from him the night before.

”Little Ape, go,” Lin Yun said calmly. ”Don’t hold back. Kill them all for me.” He didn’t bother to lower his voice, so everyone present heard his command.

The Core Disciples from Taiqing Academy were all baffled. Listening to Lin Yun’s tone, it sounded as if killing these ten Direct Disciples would be as easy as chopping vegetables.

In the next second, however, the Taiqing Academy Core Disciples got their answer. Leaping onto the arena, Little Ape instantly swelled to a height of ten meters. The overwhelming Evil Qi that erupted from its body fully revealed its true nature.

A vicious beast! It was definitely a vicious beast, and a Tier Four one at that...
