Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”That... I... It’s not something important! Hmph, I-I have to cultivate now, don’t disturb me!”

Panicking after hearing Bai Ning asking about her slip up, Hui Ying pouted with an embarrassed expression on her face before escaping to the back of the demonic beast they were sitting on top of. Not wasting a second before closing her eyes tightly and starting to cultivate.

From the reaction alone, Bai Ning became even more certain that this annoying girl called Hui Ying did indeed plan to go to the Azure Sky Kingdom for something that was not related to getting promoted to an Inner Disciple or earning contribution point.

”However, it has nothing to do with me. At least this way, I won’t get bothered any more during the rest of the journey to the Azure Sky Kingdom...” Shaking his head as he muttered this to himself while glancing towards Hui Ying, Bai Ning similarly closed his eye before resuming what he had been doing before Hui Ying had started annoying him.

In his opinion, there was no need for himself to get involved with someone like Hui Ying. Especially considering the fact that she was most definitely planning to do something dangerous after reaching the Azure Sky Kingdom...

After the last few days, he had spent under the guidance of his senior brother Chu Yang, Bai Ning had grown confident in dealing with people who had similarly reached the Ninth Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm like himself.

At this point in time, all Bai Ning wanted to do, was complete the task of hunting down a few demonic cultivators in the Azure Sky Kingdom before returning to the Star Shattering Sect again and prove to his master that he could indeed fight someone at the same realm as himself!

Finding out what the annoying girl called Hui Ying was up to was really not something Bai Ning planned to waste his time on. Especially considering that the time in question could be spent on way more important things... Like forging new artifacts!

”Now... I wonder what kind of artifact I should make after returning...!”

Having managed to make Hui Ying stop talking to him and instead focus on quietly cultivating without saying anything, the rest of the journey towards the Azure Sky Kingdom went off without anything major happening, Bai Ning focusing most of his attention towards trying to come up with a new artifact he could make after returning to the sect.

During this journey, the only thing that really ended up happening that momentarily slowed down the progress, was some random group of bandits that overestimated their strength and tried to rob them when they were just about to reach the border between the Azure Sky Kingdom and the Star Shattering Sect’s territory.

Of course... These bandits were quickly dealt with by the elders, who were more than happy to show off in front of the disciples of the sect.

Like this, Bai Ning officially managed to reach the Azure Sky Kingdom after a little over four days of travel on demonic beasts.

...

”Hm... Bai Ning should have reached the Azure Sky Kingdom at this point in time...”

Having recovered part of his dantian after remaining in secluded cultivation since returning from the enlightenment space, Xuan Hao slowly looked in the direction of the Azure Sky Kingdom.

Although he had been the one who had ended up forcing Bai Ning to go and get some real-life combat experience in the Azure Sky Kingdom, Xuan Hao could still not help feeling nervous when thinking about his disciple.

After all, even if there were a lot of elders present who had already reached the Nascent Soul Realm and the strongest demonic cultivators still left inside the Azure Sky Kingdom should at most have reached the Peak of the Core Formation.

In the worst-case scenario, a demonic cultivator compared to the earlier stages of the Nascent Soul Realm would still be hiding somewhere inside the Azure Sky Kingdom.

However, given that there were so many elders in the Nascent Soul Realm present, the appearance of such a powerful demonic cultivator should instantly alert them and cause them to rush over.

Even if the worst-case scenario really happened and Bai Ning was unfortunate enough to be the one to encounter the demonic cultivator, Xuan Hao had already made sure to secretly leave some of his power on his disciple before he left.

Even if the strength of the power was extremely limited due to his current condition, it should be more than enough to not only warn him if something ended up happening, but it would also be more than strong enough to keep his disciple safe in case he encountered a powerful opponent in the Nascent Soul Realm.

All things considered, even if he was in weakened state. At the end of the day, he was still someone at the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm. Even a tiny part of his power was more than enough to stop anyone below the Domain Lord Realm!

Knock Knock!

”Master, the sect master is here!”

Just as he was lost in thought thinking about how Bai Ning was doing, the voice of Zhi Ruo could be heard together with a light knocking sound from the door leading into his cultivation room.

”Well, I guess I forgot to inform anyone that I would be in secluded cultivation... You can just send him in.” Whispering the first part to himself, Xuan Hao soon shook his head before informing Zhi Ruo to just let Feng Chen come in.

In the first place, he had already woken up from his meditation to recover the injuries inside his dantian and there was no reason why not to see Feng Chen. Not to mention, given that he had come all the way to him meant that he had something important to say...

Creak~!

”Xuan Hao! I”

Not even a minute passed after Zhi Ruo left before Feng Chen almost busted into the room without the slightest respect, a clearly excited expression plastered all over his face as he called out to him.

”First of all, calm down before you start speaking... Zhi Ruo, can you bring us some tea and a few light snacks?”

”Yes! I will be back shortly.”

Rolling his eyes seeing just how excited Feng Chen was, Xuan Hao decided to first calm him down while calling for Zhi Ruo to get a few snacks and some tea for them in the meantime.

...

”Hah... I’m sorry for my earlier behaviour...”

Drinking the tea Zhi Ruo had brought for them, Feng Chen could not help apologising for his earlier behaviour when he had rushed into Xuan Hao’s cultivation room.

”No need to worry about it. Now that you have calmed down, can you perhaps explain the reason for your sudden visit and excitement? To be honest, it was quite shocking to suddenly see you burst into my room with so much energy...”

Not at all bothered by how Feng Chen had acted, Xuan Hao was more curious about what had caused him to act like he did.

Given that he had already reached the Domain Lord Realm, things that could cause him to grow as excited as he currently was, would definitely not be something simple. Maybe it could even be that he managed to find something that would be able to help increase hist strength...

”Haha! I understand what you mean and the reason why I rushed over here is simple... Do you remember the entrance to some sort of mystic realm that appeared next to your old pavilion?”

”Yes... What about it- Did you perhaps manage to find out something about it in the records of the sect!?”

At first nodding his head in understanding after hearing what Feng Chen said, Xuan Hao suddenly understands the reason why he had come to see him and could not help showing a surprised expression on his face.

After all, the elders of the sect familiar with the sect’s records had already looked through the records for anything related to the mystic realm that had been hidden next to his pavilion and didn’t find anything back then!

What had suddenly happened for them to find out something now...?

”Hehe, I understand what you are thinking right now. The reason why we didn’t find out anything before, was indeed because there was nothing about it in our sect’s records... But two days ago, when going through the old record hall back in the Flying Sword Sect, one of the elders in charge of managing the few less important records that are still kept in the Flying Sword Sect stumbled over a concealment formation hidden behind one of the large bookshelves!

After informing the rest of the elders, I was soon informed and made a trip back to the sect. After arriving it did not take long for me to undo the already decaying protection formations hidden behind the concealment formation. Behind these formations, there were dozens of records from when our sect was first established... And among them was one about a mystic realm entrance located inside the sect! Here, take a look!”

Hearing what Feng Chen told him, Xuan Hao could not help showing a surprised expression on his face before taking the old worn-down book Feng Chen handed over to him.
