Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Travelling through the Frozen Wastelands in the direction of the Transcendent Grade Spiritual Herb for three days straight, Xuan Hao could not help feeling excited upon seeing a mountain range of several large mountains covered in snow and ice appear in the distance.

According to the map of the Frozen Wasteland that Yi Min had given to him. The mountain range in front of him was the location where she had encountered the Transcendent Grade Spiritual Herb and its guardian demon beast.

Bang-bang-bang!

Suddenly hearing the sound of someone fighting in the distance, Xuan Hao could not help frowning as he quickly hid himself before looking over in the direction of the sound of battle.

”Demonic cultivators…” Narrowing his eyes after recognizing the demonic techniques used by the two groups fighting a short distance away from his current location, Xuan Hao soon continued moving towards the snow-covered mountain range in the distance after making sure that none of the demonic cultivators would spot him.

During the past few days, he had encountered many similar situation where demonic cultivators were fighting with each other for the few resources available in the Frozen Wasteland. In some cases, the demonic cultivators would not even fight over resources and would instead fight to devour their opponent’s cultivation…

In the Frozen Wasteland with scarce resources, the most precious resource to demonic cultivators, was other demonic cultivators who wandered the seemingly endless wasteland in search of opportunities to improve their strength!

Not only were these demonic cultivators extremely ruthless, but they were also extremely strong! Just during the short three days he had travelled through the Frozen Wasteland, he had encountered more than 10 demonic cultivators at the Third Demonic Transformation.

This was more than 10 Peak Domain Lords! Even a strong empire like the Sky Empire should not have the ability to easily gather up so many Peak Domain Lords!

What was worrying was that he had encountered most of them during the last day of travel as he got closer to the core part of the Frozen Wasteland.

If the outer part of the Frozen Wasteland was so dangerous, just how terrifying would the core part be? Would he perhaps encounter a demonic cultivator in the True Demon Realm the moment he stepped foot into the core of the Frozen Wasteland…?

As this thought appeared in his head, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine at the thought of encountering a demonic cultivator in the True Demon Realm. After all, with his current cultivation realm, he doubted that he would be able to fight back.

”Hm?” Coming to a stop mid-air a short distance away from the snow-covered mountain range, Xuan Hao squinted his eyes as something headed towards him at a speed far surpassing his own speed. Even with the help of the Drifting Cloud Steps, Xuan Hao doubted that he would be able to archive such speed.

”That is-”

Whoosh~

Having realized what, the thing flying towards him was, Xuan Hao barely managed to dodge before getting hit, as it continued forward before violently hitting one of the snow-covered mountains.

BOOOOOM-!

Directly passing through it before coming to a stop after smashing into a second mountain behind the first.

Whoosh

Not even a second later, the thing that had smashed into the second mountain suddenly stood up before rushing into the sky. Revealing itself to be a demonic cultivator with a pair of large demonic looking bat wings.

”Hm? A demonic cultivator…” Feeling surprised that the other party was actually a demonic cultivator, Xuan Hao suddenly had a bad feeling as he turned to look in the direction that the demonic cultivator had come flying from.

”YOU DARE ESCAPE!?” Along with the loud almost bestial roar, another demonic cultivator appeared in the distance with even larger demonic wings. Heading towards the demonic cultivator in the air above the second mountain, who had just recovered from being sent flying through a mountain a few seconds earlier.

”Hmph! You think I will just wait around for you to catch me!?” Barely able to pick up what the demonic cultivator floating above the second mountain said, Xuan Hao watched as he flapped his large demonic bat wings before flying towards the deeper parts of the snow-covered mountain range.

”YOU THINK YOU CAN ESCAPE FROM ME!?” Not paying too much mind to the very clearly crazy demonic cultivator that came flying towards his current attention, Xuan Hao retreated even further away as he tried his best to hide his presence.

Whoosh~!

As the crazy looking demonic cultivator filled with killing intent flew past him, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a little relieved upon discovering that the other party didn’t notice him.

Wait! Both of them are heading towards the Spiritual Herb!

Following the two demonic cultivators slowly disappearing in the distance, Xuan Hao was just about to resume his journey towards the Transcendent Spiritual Herb when he suddenly realized that the two demonic cultivators were moving towards the exact location of the spiritual herb.

Whoosh!

Not daring to wait around after realizing this, Xuan Hao quickly used his Drifting Cloud Steps to chase after the two disappearing demonic cultivators in the distance.

If it was just two normal demonic cultivators, the guardian demon beast would most likely have the ability to deal with them. The problem was the two demonic cultivators currently moving towards the deeper part of the snow-covered mountain range was far from normal!

The weaker one being chased had very clearly reached the Third Demonic Transformation, while the stronger one should be half a step into the True Demon Realm!

Even if the guardian demon beast had grown stronger over the thousands of years since Yi Min had seen it, he did not think that it would have grown strong enough to deal with a demonic cultivator half a step into the True Demon Realm!

Thinking about it for a short moment while chasing behind the two, Xuan Hao doubted that he would have the ability to deal with a demonic cultivator half a step into the True Demon Realm!

…

Feeling the two auras of the demonic cultivators come to a sudden stop as the half a step True Demon Realm demonic cultivator had caught up, Xuan Hao also came to a stop as he observed the two demonic cultivators start fighting with each other.

Boom-boom-boom!

Not even a second later, two terrifying auras belong to the Third Demonic Transformation Realm appeared in the distance before clashing violently with each other. Instantly destroying a few nearby mountains in the process.

Watching the fight from a distance, Xuan Hao could not help lamenting over just how one-sided the fight between the two was. Even if the two had reached the same realm, it was easy to see that there was a massive gap in strength between both of them…

”Aaaah-!”

Not even a minute had passed since the start of the fight before the pitiful scream of the weaker Third Demonic Transformation Realm demonic cultivator echoed across the snow-covered mountain range.

”Hmph!” Not intending to let his opponent escape again, the stronger demonic cultivator transformed one of his hands into several large tentacles that quickly tied up and stopped his opponent from running away.

”Hehe, I would like to see you run away this time around!”

”N-no! P-please don’t- Aaah!”

Not knowing what he was watching anymore as the tentacles slowly began to suck away the yin qi of the demonic cultivator by forcefully entering his body, Xuan Hao decided to look away as he instead began to look for signs of the Transcendent Grade Spiritual Herb that should be somewhere close to his current location.

Inspecting his surroundings and only seeing snow-covered mountains in all directions, Xuan Hao wondered how he would be able find the exact location of the Transcendent Grade Spiritual Herb.

Maybe the guardian demon beast had already died of old age. Leaving no one behind to guard the Transcendent Grade Spiritual Herb…?

Although this sounded like a good thing, as he would not need to deal with a guardian demon beast, it also made it way harder to find the Transcendent Spiritual Herb… After all, the location Yi Min had given him was not that precise and could at most be considered a rough location. Given how the environment had changed over the past few thousand years since she had been there, it was even harder to find!

”…”

Looking out at the countless mountains covered in a thick white blanket of snow looking the exact same, Xuan Hao felt like he might be forced to search through the entire place with his divine sense. Resulting in him spending way more time in the Frozen Wasteland than he first expected.

”Aaaaah~!”

Hearing a weird scream of pain echo across the snow-covered mountains from the direction of the two demonic cultivators, Xuan Hao felt a shiver run down his spine as he caught a glimpse of what was happening to the weaker demonic cultivator while the yin qi inside his body was sucked dry by the tentacles.

Demon cultivators… Were truly terrifying!
