Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Time passed by slowly, as Xuan Hao continued to practice the Drifting Cloud Steps while following the three demonic cultivators through the frozen tundra of the Frozen Wastelands.

The frozen tundra was seemingly never ending, as the only sign of life during the journey was the snow-white rabbits that seemed to be the only animals living inside the frozen tundra. No demon beast or demonic cultivators showed up along the way. Making Xuan Hao begin to doubt that they were really heading towards the location of a major demonic sect.

Even if there were no living creatures around outside of the snow-white rabbits, there should at the very least be a few demonic cultivators present… Right?

Feeling more doubtful about where they were heading as the three demonic cultivators suddenly slowed down and began cautiously advancing forward, Xuan Hao stopped practicing the Drifting Cloud Steps and instead focused his full attention on keeping an eye on the three demonic cultivators and their surroundings.

Whoosh~

However, even after scanning his surroundings with his divine sense, he could not find anything and was left wondering why the demonic cultivators had suddenly become so cautious all of a sudden.

Looking closely, the three were clearly fearful of something, as they already had their weapons ready while moving through the empty frozen tundra.

”Hm?”

Searching for any abnormalities, Xuan Hao soon found out that his divine sense had been blocked by some kind of barrier located only a few kilometres away from his current location. Not only that, but he could also sense several hundred demonic cultivators located around the barrier in question!

Knowing that it might be the Frost Devil Sect that he had been searching for, Xuan Hao did not dare to forceful try and pry inside the barrier with his divine sense. Instead deciding to wait and see what the three demonic cultivators would do after reaching the barrier.

After all, he had not come to fight with the Frost Devil Sect. All he wanted was the location of the sect so that he could fulfil the request Yi Min had given him in exchange for the location of the Transcendent Grade Spiritual Herb.

Of course, he would only give her this information after getting his hand on the spiritual herb and confirming what Yi Min had told him was indeed true!

…

”Haa… We are almost there! I feel like my body is about to burst apart at any moment!” Glancing around at the lifeless tundra spreading out in all directions around him, one of the two demonic cultivators from the Frost Devil Sect could not help exclaiming as his body had slowly begun freezing due to the massive amount of yin qi inside of him.

”Don’t let your guard down! We can’t be careless this close to sect… Don’t forget what happened the last time we returned to the sect!” Not the slightest bit relaxed knowing that they would soon be reaching their sect, the last member from the Frost Devil Sect tightened his grip around the sword in his hand.

”…” Beetle from the Black Rose Sect did not say anything when hearing the conversation between the two demonic cultivators, as he just cautiously observed his surroundings. Looking for any suspicious movements in the snow.

As a demonic cultivator, he understood the reason why the demonic cultivator from the Frost Devil Sect was so nervous upon realizing that he was getting close to his sect…

Swish!

”Hehe, If it isn’t the-”

Bang-bang-bang!

Just as someone appeared in front of them to block their path forward, the three simultaneously launched an attack towards the person in question. Directly sending him flying before he even had a chance to finish talking.

”Let’s increase our speed, if not, our dear junior and senior brothers might gather together and block us from entering the sect!” Looking into the distance where the person who had suddenly appeared in front of them flew, one of the two demonic cultivators said this before rapidly increasing his speed.

””…””

Knowing what he meant, the other two demonic cultivators did not wait around, as both of them used all their strength to rush forward, as they soon saw more and more demonic cultivators appearing before rushing towards them. Wanting to know if they had managed to get anything good during their journey away from the sect.

…

”Well… This is rather entertaining…” Muttering this to himself as he observed the entire frozen tundra suddenly get filled with all sorts of demonic cultivators chasing after the group of three, Xuan Hao could not help wondering why there were so many demonic cultivators hiding around what he assumed to be the location of the Frost Devil Sect.

Don’t tell me… Are these demonic cultivators perhaps waiting for some of their juniors to show up after having gone out to adventure and are lying in wait to rob them…?

Realizing this, Xuan Hao could not help wondering why anyone would want to join a sect that allowed for something like that to happen… Then again, it was a demonic sect, so they were bound to have a different way to go about things…

However, no matter how hard Xuan Hao thought, he could not think of a way in which what was currently happening to the three demonic cultivators was in any way a positive thing for the development of the demonic sect.

Perhaps if Elder Song was around, he could think of a reason as to why the demonic sect was doing what it was doing and in what way it would help the development of the demonic sect!

Shaking his head at this thought, Xuan Hao focused his attention on to the three demonic cultivators, as they were slowly getting closer and closer to the location of the barrier that had blocked his divine sense from advancing any further.

Bang!

”Ah… How unlucky…”

Watching one of the three demonic cultivators suddenly getting knocked to the ground by a group of demonic cultivators, Xuan Hao did not feel the slightest hint of pity as he watched the group of demonic cultivators proceed to ruthlessly kill the person who should be a member of the same sect before forcibly absorbing the yin qi still inside his body.

A demonic sect truly gave off a different feeling compared to a sect like the Flying Sword Sect…

Turning his attention towards the last two remaining demonic cultivators who rushed towards the barrier that was likely the entrance to the Frost Devil Sect, Xuan Hao silently approached the barrier without being noticed by any of the demonic cultivators before remaining hidden in the area just a few meters above the area of the barrier that the two remaining demonic cultivators were rushing towards.

The reason for this, was that he wanted to see if he would be able to catch a glimpse of the Frost Devil Sect while the two passed through the barrier and entered the sect. To confirm that it was indeed the Frost Devil Sect and not a branch of the Frost Devil Sect.

Using his divine sense was completely out of the question, as Xuan Hao fully understood that he would very likely get spotted if the Frost Devil Sect was really hidden behind the barrier in front of him.

”We are almost there!”

Hearing the voice of the last remaining demonic cultivator from the Frost Devil Sect among the former group of three echo out behind him, Xuan Hao could not help frowning upon noticing a group of demonic cultivators hiding only a few hundred meters away from them in front of the barrier.

The group of demonic cultivators were preparing to attack the two. Greed written all over their faces. Having clearly sensed the dense yin qi that oozing out from the two demonic cultivators, who were barely able to stop themselves from blowing up from the massive amount of yin qi inside their bodies.

Whoosh!

Narrowing his eyes as he saw the group was about to jump into action and ruin his chance to confirm whether the barrier in front of him really led to the Frost Devil Sect, Xuan Hao directly used his ice domain to freeze the entire group of demonic cultivators to death before they had any time to react.

This action was not noticed by anyone, as the two demonic cultivators directly rushed past the frozen demonic cultivators on the ground below. Oblivious that these demonic cultivators had been alive just a short moment ago.

”Finally…”

”According to the sect rules, they can’t attack us inside the sect!”

Hearing the happy exclamations of the two demonic cultivators, Xuan Hao watched in anticipation as the barrier slowly began lifting in front of them. Revealing a large gate with the words [Frost Devil Sect], written boldly on top of it.

Creak~

Hearing the sound of the large gate slowly starting to open, the demonic cultivators rushing over quickly stopped rushing towards the two escaping demonic cultivators before retreating. Knowing that they would no longer be able to catch them.

Standing in the air only a few meters above the two, Xuan Hao narrowed his eyes upon seeing the bold words written on top of the large gate-

Swish!

Before rapidly retreating after feeling a terrifying aura appearing from the other side of the gate.
