Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 185: Chapter 184:I’d love to do just that....

The moment the light flashed and we appeared back at the gathering area, the first thing I noticed was the significant drop in our numbers.

A day ago, we’d already lost more than 3 students before even entering the place.

Now, looking around, I could count less than sixty students remaining..

”Damn... the old man wasn’t kidding, our numbers got shaved..” Malachi whistled as he too was currently taking in the drastic drop in numbers around us.

”Yea, but, were those things really that bad? I mean we could easily take them out, so why not the others?” I was actually stumped.

Sure, the abominations were big and strong and diverse in their looks, but aside the few with rare abilities, the others were just regular creatures that shouldn’t have been much trouble.

”Heh.. that may be true, but you yourself had done your part in reducing our numbers so why not others.” Malachi laughed, and that’s when it clicked..

”Ahh... I see..” that must’ve been the true reason for the drastic drop in numbers, because, despite being in the same class, we were all ultimately, competition.

So, when the chance appeared to trim down the competition, it isn’t hard to guess that many must’ve taken it, I mean, I myself had taken out six, so there’s that..

”Well, I guess your set is alot more cohesive and calm, you actually have more than half your numbers remaining, impressive.” Instructor Voren’s calm and aged voice drew the attention of our group, as we finally stopped eying each other warily.

But the moment I focused on the old man, my attention was drawn towards the beautiful woman by his side.

”Liz?”

”Hyeeee!!!” She waved in that enthusiastic manner that made her look adorable..

”What are you doing here?” I couldn’t help asking, curious.

She skipped over, her short frame straining to look up as her pure white eyes locked onto mine.

”The old man asked for back up, he said his joints were hurting so he’d asked for some help. Hehehe..” she giggled, her massive breasts jiggling within that criminally effective sundress, successfully hypnotizing me for a moment...

”Ahh.. is that so? I guess old age does catch up to everyone huh?” I said, hand on my chin.

”Fufufu.. hmm... hmmm.” She nodded vigorously.

”By the way, cool wings.” Her words finally drew my attention back to her as I found her gaze trained on the pair of black wings folded neatly behind me.

What? You thought I’d retracted them? Before showing off properly? Fat chance!!

”You like them?” I asked as I spread them wide, revealing their full fifteen-meter wingspan..

”Woah!!” Her exclamation drew the attention of the others, as their gazes turned towards me.

I could see the confusion in their eyes.

Obviously, they were wondering how I’d gone in wingless yet now I was sporting fifteen-meter majestic wings..

”Hehe.. I like them alot, makes me wonder if you’ll ever take me for a flight someday.” Liz chuckled.

”You can fly by yourself though?”

”Pooh... of course I can, but there’s a fundamental difference between flying with wings and flying without.” She pouted as she crossed her arms.

”Right?? And here I thought I was the only who thought so.”

”So, is that yes?”

”Hmm.. maybe if you throw in that dinner date.” I winked, her face blushing furiously...

”St..stt..stop.. we’re in public.. though I wouldn’t mind.. hehehe.. a date with Dante.. me and him.. us two.. no one else.. hehe.. hehehe...” damn, she was fun to tease I can’t lie, at least until she enters this mode of hers..

”Alright, enough daydreaming Miss Instructor people are watching.” I laughed as I unconsciously placed my palm on her head, intending to stop her swooning, only to be met with silence..

”Hmmm?” I looked down, her face was currently facing downwards as her breaths turned heavy..

”Liz? We all good?” I bent down, intent on checking up on her, only for her face to snap up so fast I was sure she got whiplash.

”Yikes!!” I startled..

Her face hard gone tomatoe red, literal steam was coming out her mouth as she breathed heavily, her white eyes swirling ominously, honestly she looked hella crazy but also,

”Fucking Hot.”

I could feel my own excitement rising slowly..

”Ahem...!” A cough immediately doused the heated atmosphere in cold ice water..

Liz immediately shot the instructor a cold glare, one I myself couldn’t help but agree with.

The old man merely shrugged of her concern.

”Instructor Elizabeth, I believe that’s enough checking up for now, no?” The man smiled as he tried to separate us from the budding heat between us...

”Haaaa.... Sorry about that, Dante, I got a little bit carried away.” She smiled apologetically at me, embarrassed..

”Haha.. no harm done, in all honesty, I found you quite cute, so you don’t have to worry about anything, Instructor~” I drawled in a teasing tone.

”Cccccc...ccute??” She squealed..

”Haaa.. alright. That’s enough from you, young miss, off you go.” Instructor Voren sighed, exasperation coloring his face..

”No! Wait! Old man! He called me cute! Don’t you dare...” her threats were cut short as Voren snapped his fingers and she was teleported away..

”Finally.. some calm.” The old man smiled warmly at the group of confused students.

I could feel their gazes going back and forth between me, the instructor and the place Liz had just telephorted from.

Alright students, congratulations on making it out with the highest number of survivors in recent history.” The old man laughed.

”I don’t know if it’s because you guys haven’t gotten antagonistic with each other yet, or if you guys are just genuinely focused on yourselves, or if you guys are just cowards that know how to hide.” Voren drew his gaze across the group of gathered youths slowly as he spoke.

”But for now, at least, congratulations on your survival.” None of the gathered students reacted to his words, their expressions were either indifferent, stoic, or just plain bored.

”Alright, even though there isn’t any official grading for this excursion, I do have a little surprise for the student with most number of kills, so let’s see what you kids have.” The old man smiled softly as he gestured for us to take out our spoils..

”Here?” I looked around, confused, and it wasn’t only me.

The space wasn’t nearly enough to contain the number of corpses I had, not to mention the sheer absurdity of their sizes.

”Hahaha.. worry not, I’ve already carved out many space expansion runes here, you can reveal your spoils without fear.” The instructor laughed..

Once they’d gotten his approval, the youths shrugged as everyone starts bringing out their kills..

”Woah!”

”What the fuck??”

”How do they have so many??”

”Don’t tell me they were actively hunting those abominations? And why do I see multiple of those special ones there?”

The students were shocked.

While most of them could kill he abominations, they still weren’t confident in going out of their ways to actively hunt for the creatures, especially not those with bizarre abilities..

The exclamations of the surrounding students, successfully caught my attention as I turned to where their were focused on.

My eyes catching sight of a very interesting scene.

There, standing before a pile of what could only be described as a mountain of corpses, were two youths.

One had his eyes covered, the other his mouth sealed.

They’d just casually dropped a mountain of ginormous abomination corpses and stood there as if nothing had happened..

”Heh.. those posers really think they’ve won, huh?” Malachi’s smug voice came from beside me .

”One’s got his eyes covered, the other sealed his mouth, posturing at its peak, and your surprised they’re acting that way? Hah!” I laughed.

”Well then my friend... why don’t we give them something to truly posture about.” Malachi’s grin widened, my own mirroring his..

”Why yes, I’d love to do just that... FRIEND!”

””HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...””

And so, laughing like a pair of recently admitted mental patients, we both unleaded our stock and the whole place immediately went dead silent...
