Chapter 1994: Interesting Information

”You dare to kill the Black Lotus disciple, Fiend!” The Elder’s voice boomed as his killing intent soared.

He took out his sword, raising it to the sky. As the Elder did it, a black lotus made of black fire formed in the sky. Then the sword absorbed the flaming black lotus, setting the sword on fire.

”Good, very good. You are not as weak as your disciple. You will be a good opponent to test my new upgrade,” Vandir clacked in excitement as he summoned Undead Tang Shaoyang.

Their appearance was similar in a way, but the dragon scales on Undead Tang Shaoyang seemed to be brighter with a crimson touch on them. Not just that, Vandir also gave a sword to the Undead.

This was not the first time he saw his undead version, and it still gave him a weird feeling when he looked at his undead version. Then the undead Tang Shaoyang bent his body forward slightly, holding the sword in his left hand and with his right on the hilt.

Tang Shaoyang recognized the stance. The surprise did not stop there as a gate made of black-crimson fire formed behind the undead. The gate was made of black lustrous stone, and it was set in flame a few seconds after it formed.

The gate opened, which was followed by a roar. A similar version to Azure Dragon, but instead of an azure-colored dragon, it was a dragon made of black-crimson fire. The dragon coiled around the undead Tang Shaoyang.

The Elder let out an angry growl and made his move. At the same time, the undead Tang Shaoyang also made his move, executing the first technique of the fifth Heavenly Gate: Heavenly Sword - Heavenly Revoke.

The undead Tang Shaoyang left a trail of black-crimson fire, which was followed by another dragon roar. The swords clashed in the air, creating a massive explosion. A clash of swords and two different fires, engulfing both figures in the air.

The following seconds after the explosion, two figures were blown away by the fire. One was blown to the ground and one was blown to the sky.

Undead Tang Shaoyang landed on his feet, suffering no wounds. Meanwhile, the Elder from the Black Lotus was spinning as he was blown up. It took him a few seconds to stabilize himself in the air. He looked shocked as he looked at his hand that had been burned.

He did not expect the black fire from his sect would meet its match in this abandoned world. At the same time, he realized that their enemy could not be underestimated. If they did not want to share the spoils with the other sects, they must finish the fight as quickly as possible, get the codex, and leave before anyone arrived here, especially those from unorthodox sects.

”What are you guys doing? We need to end this as quickly as possible and leave!” He roared at the remaining two Elders, who immediately got into a fighting stance.

Before the two Elders could do anything, they disappeared along with Avyn and Zara. The two women claimed the two Elders as their prey, bringing them to their domains.

The black flame in Vandir’s socket blazed fiercely when he saw this. The thought appeared in his mind. He never tried it before, but maybe his undead could also use a domain skill. He sent the order to the undead Tang Shaoyang, and the latter listened to the order.

Undead Tang Shaoyang used Blink, shortening the distance before using the domain skill. Just like that, the undead and the elder disappeared as well.

Vandir’s jaw made a clanking noise because his undead retained the domain skill as well. The Death King slowly made his way back to Tang Shaoyang’s side and sat cross-legged on the ground.

”I am going to watch your undead fighting that old man, Boss. Please take care of the rest for us!”

Tang Shaoyang was left with the seven disciples who did not know what to do. What happened to Yuhan shook them. Now they lost their Elders as well, they were at a loss and in a state of panic.

Tang Shaoyang shook his head and cast the Detection skill on the seven people. The result came out with interesting information. Instead of showing him their level, the screen showed him their cultivation rank.

Name: ???

Affiliation: Black Lotus Sect

Status: Core Disciple

Cultivation Rank: Initial 7th Stage Nascent Soul Realm

Breathing Technique: ???

Signature Technique: ???

He cast the skills on all of them, and the 7th Stage Nascent Soul Realm was their highest rank, and the lower rank was at the Initial 1st Stage Nascent Soul Realm, the man with the youngest appearance.

The rank confused him as he did not know how to transfer the cultivation rank into his System’s rank. Was the Nascent Soul Realm comparable to God Rank or not? He did not know the answer.

His curiosity got him as he opened the codex, showing no concern for Avyn and Zara, who fought the Elders. He wished to watch them fighting to measure how strong an Elder of a sect was, but it was not possible. He did not have the ability to peek into their domains.

Tang Shaoyang could use Spirit Link, but Avyn and Zara hated it when he used the skill on them. They felt like there was something else within them that made them uncomfortable. Instead, he opened the codex to see if there was information about the cultivation rank to the System Rank.

He remembered reading the rank somewhere in the codex, but their names were so complicated that he did not remember them at all. He quickly found the rank for cultivation, but it did not mention how comparable each rank was to the System Rank.

Body Tempering - Qi Refinement - Foundation Establishment - Golden Core - Nascent Soul - Soul Transformation - Void Realm - Emperor Realm - Heavenly Emperor - Immortal Emperor - God Realm - True God

There were twelve cultivation ranks, while the System Rank was only seven. If there were seven cultivation ranks, it would be easier for him to compare the cultivation ranks and the System Ranks.

On top of that, each cultivation rank was divided into nine major stages, from the first stage to the ninth stage. Then each stage was also divided into four minor ranks, which were: Initial, Intermediate, Advanced, and Peak. That just made things even more complicated.

”What about those Elders? I forgot to use Detection on them...” He muttered in a low voice.

Tang Shaoyang looked up at the seven Core Disciples, ”I can use them to gain more information about their strength.”

He wanted to test how strong these Nascent Soul Realm Cultivators were against a God Rank like him. Of course, he would not go all out, afraid he would kill them instantly, which defeated the purpose of establishing the information about cultivators.

He took out his battle axe since it had been a long time since he used the weapon. The sword had always been his option because of the Nine Heavenly Gates, but he did not want to use a technique or a skill to test out the Nascent Soul Realm Cultivator, just pure raw brute force.

”What are you guys waiting for? Come at me! It’s seven against one.”
