Chapter 1953: Actually Picking New Class (1)

Tang Shaoyang stood in front of the window with a cup of steaming coffee in his right hand. The night was eventful, and last night had been more intense than usual. That was why they were all still asleep, except for Elin, who prepared his coffee and also gathered supplies.

The sun was still down, it was five in the morning. There was not much activity around the base, but streams of people coming in and out still could be seen. Most of them were Tarriors, changing shifts with the Tarrior stationed in the dimensional tower.

They had two Dimensional Towers, and they needed Tarrior to keep their resources safe. Even though most of the fight was over, and the situation had been stabilized, if they loosened their guards, it was the same as inviting other forces to attack them. They would attack to take the resources if they gave them the chance.

”Are you going to leave without saying goodbye to them?” Elin finished her cooking and set up a lot of meals boxed on the table. She was talking about his daughters as he usually always made time to say goodbye.

”I still need to take care of my class issue, so I have to leave earlier,” Tang Shaoyang wanted to say goodbye as well, but he needed time to decide on his new class before going for his mission first. That was the goal instead of delaying it further again and again.

”Ah, the class...” Elin nodded understandingly as she heard Tang Shaoyang talk about it with Lunea, Ava, and Aleesa on the bed last night, ”I wish I could be a little help with your problem,” She said with regret. At this moment, she wished that she had taken the chance given to her and fought like the others.

Tang Shaoyang turned around and hugged her, caressing her hair, and whispered, ”Don’t say that, dear. Your food is already a big help to me. Your cooks always remind me of home every time I am away. You have done your portion, and I certainly don’t want to eat Kang Xue’s black fungus or Jasmine’s vegetable chop.”

Elin let out a chuckle when Kang Xue and Jasmine attempted to cook food for him back then. Jasmine’s could still be eaten even, but Kang Xue’s cook was inedible.

”Thanks for the food as usual. I promise I will return to see our child born,” Tang Shaoyang caressed her belly and kissed her forehead.

Elin nodded and responded with an ”Mnn.”

Tang Shaoyang finished his coffee accompanied by Elin. When it was about time for him to leave, he heard the sound of the door opening. Elin and he turned around to the noise and found Tang Xiulan, standing sleepily in front of her door.

Elin might not be able to see, but Tang Shaoyang saw the green creature was holding Tang Xiulan’s pajamas, on her back. He could tell what happened here in a single glance. Nunu woke Tang Xiulan and told her that he was leaving. Even though he was unsure how they communicated since the green dragon could not communicate yet.

’Maybe the bond...’

”Are you leaving again, Daddy?” Tang Xiulan asked in her sleepy voice.

Tang Shaoyang was hit with a pang of guilt when he heard the word again. This made him not want to leave and cancel the mission. The thought crossed his mind for a moment, but he immediately threw away the thoughts. He walked to his daughter and carried her up, and Nunu immediately flew off, not looking in his direction after their gaze met once.

”Yes. Daddy has to leave for another important mission,” He carried over to the sofa and sat there.

Tang Xiulan rested her head on his chest and her hands clung to his neck, ”How long?”

Tang Shaoyang wanted to promise her that he would return in one week, but he was afraid that he might not be able to return early. Especially when the Skywound Realm had a notorious reputation as an administrator.

”I don’t know, maybe one month.”

The moment he said one month, the disappointment was obvious in her expression. Despite her daughter’s disappointment, Tang Shaoyang did not dare to make a promise that he would return early or something similar. He did not want her to grow up knowing how easily her father broke a promise with her.

”Then can you bring back a cute cat like the one Mother Delia has?”

Tang Shaoyang blinked his eyes, trying to recall what her daughter talked about. He quickly realized what her daughter talked about, Gluttony. The cute cat was the tiger, and his face scrunched in serious thinking.

The Skywound Realm was not a place where he could get something like a cute cat. It was a place where calamity resided. However, he did not want to disappoint her daughter by saying no either.

”I am not sure about a cute cat, but maybe I can bring back something cute,” Tang Shaoyang could not refuse his daughter.

Tang Xiulan slowly raised her head from her chest and said, ”Promise?” while offering her pinky finger.

Tang Shaoyang did not want to make a promise, especially when he was unsure whether he could get something cute or not. He looked toward Elin for help, but the latter pretended to take a sip of the empty cup in her hand while looking out at the window. He knew she had finished the tea a long time ago.

Tang Shaoyang let out a defeated sigh and reached her daughter’s pinky with his, ”Promise.”

”Yes!” Tang Xiulan raised her arm to the air, and Nunu flew in a circle above her head. Then they did a high-five. Xiulan realized something and looked up at her father. She clapped his cheek and kissed her cheek, both sides before climbing down off her father’s lap.

”I’m still sleepy, so I will go back to sleep. Bye-bye, Daddy~” She waved her tiny hand as she headed back to her room.

Tang Shaoyang could hear a happy giggle from her daughter, and then he noticed four pairs of eyes from her daughter’s bedroom. He confirmed that he had fallen into her daughter’s trap and promised to bring the cute pet.

He let out a chuckle, ”I mean I will still bring back something if they ask.”

”But they succeed in making you promise them to bring back something they want,” Elin responded with a smile. She watched the whole interaction from the side, and she could not help but rub her own belly. She hoped their children would be as cute as Tang Xiulan.

Tang Shaoyang shook his head, ”I am leaving.” He kissed Elin on the forehead again, and he disappeared right after. He chose his living room as his return point.

*** ***

Tang Shaoyang arrived at his administrator’s lodging and immediately went for the couch. He sent messages to his acquaintances, asking their opinions about the support class. He did not mention it as a support class in the message. The people he trusted were Ira, Castor, Renan, Lucia, Nayla, Kiara, and Agnes. It was the original member of his team.

They might not have deep knowledge like Clementine, Arion, and Khaya, but they were the people he trusted. While waiting for their reply, he did not forget to ask Adam.

”Adam, can you show the list for the support class?”

[What is a support class?] Adan returned the question with a question.

”Ah,” Tang Shaoyang realized the smart AI might not know what he meant by support class because it was a term the people from Earth used. He explained what the support class was to Adam.

[Ah, I see. It makes sense to generalize them into a support class. Do you want me to make the list for you, Sir?]

”Yes, please.”

Adam quickly made the list, and Tang Shaoyang regretted not making it more specific. He was shown a list of thousands of classes.

”Can you narrow it down for my needs? I want...” Tang Shaoyang told Adam what kind of support class he wanted.

He had not made up his mind yet about taking the support class. That was why he came earlier, to browse through the list before making the decision. He just wanted to know what kind of support class he could get from the reward.

[I can, but it will take three minutes to do it.]

”You can take your time, Adam. I am not in a hurry.”

Tang Shaoyang waited for three minutes, and Adam gave him a shorter list for sure, but it was still more than three hundred classes.

”Can you narrow it down more into something I can pick as my reward for winning my God Trial and something that is worth my power level?”

Some classes required him to go to a certain place just like God of Martial. It could not be given as a reward, something he must earn through trial. The reason why he asked Adam to narrow it down even more.

Adam narrowed it down to thirty-nine classes. Tang Shaoyang read the list one by one, reading their skills even though it did not offer him an explanation of what it did. He started to receive replies, and most of the replies were not helping, but Kiara, Renan, and Lucia gave him an interesting story.
