Chapter 1883: Bouvo Sword Style

Tang Shaoyang watched The Bouvo, who introduced himself as Muzo, drawing a circle from his blood and continuing with writing that he did not recognize. It might be a demon language, and he was right about it as the Archdemon in his Spirit World told him. It was an Ancient Demon Language that is not all recognized by the current era of demons.

The Bouvo were considered an ancient being since they were imprisoned a long time ago. No one knew how long they had been imprisoned, and Orlean also did not know about it. The records were incomplete.

”Will the ritual work for a spirit?” Tang Shaoyang realized that the ritual might not work, realizing that Orlean was not a living being.

The Bouvo overheard him and looked up before glancing toward Orlean. The mountain demon looked for confirmation. Even though he was considered an ancient being, he did not know much about other things but his own race.

”I am a spirit…” Orlean explained what it meant.

Muzo was surprised to hear the explanation that he stopped working on the ritual. He then glanced toward Tang Shaoyang, ”The ritual only works for a demon, and I donʼt mind trying it on you. However, if you try it, and it doesnʼt work, the deal is still on. You still have to meet my people if you find them!”

The moment he realized that the ritual might not work, Muzo raised his concern. He fulfilled his deal, but it was not his fault if it was not working.

”What about a quarter demon? Will the ritual work for a quarter demon?” Tang Shaoyang asked, interested. He was a human, a dragon, a demon, and also a calamity.

Muzo was surprised once more, not expecting the man to have demon blood as well. His guest never failed to surprise him, again and again. He shrugged, ”I donʼt know. We never tried the ritual with mixed blood, but you can try it if you want. But I have to warn you of the risk, and you take it knowing the risk.”

”Then I have a question, do you think itʼs worth learning your tribeʼs sword style by putting my life at risk?”

Tang Shaoyang asked, but he did not wait for the mountain demon to answer him. He took out his Azure Dragon Blade and executed the Heavenly Sword - Heavenly Revoke.

Muzoʼs body tensed up as his hand reached the sword on his waist, but there was nothing he could do as he saw the golden blade go past him. From the start to the end, he watched everything. The mountain demon realized that his guest just wanted to show him a sword technique. His body loosened, relieved that he was still alive.

He thought he had accepted his own death a long time ago, but he realized that he was still afraid of dying when he faced death. The thought of dying brought back the thought of his tribe, and he did not know if they were still alive or not.

If everyone were dead, The Bouvo Sword Style would lose as well. Unless the System recorded their technique and shared it with the others. Looking at Orlean who was still looking for his tribeʼs sword style, it seemed The System had not shared his tribeʼs sword technique. For some reason, he did not want his tribeʼs sword style to be lost in history.

”What do you think? Do you think itʼs worth risking my life to learn your sword technique when I have one?” Tang Shaoyang asked with a smile.

”I canʼt say anything about it because you need to show me more of your sword technique, but I know we donʼt have the time for that. On top of that, I am not the right demon to compare a sword with you. I havenʼt learned all twelve styles of my sword technique. I can only learn up to six styles before the System imprisons me here. Once I am here, I am shackled. I canʼt level up, canʼt learn the remaining sword style as well even if itʼs in my head.”

Muzo explained while shaking his head in regret. His blood was boiling, wanting to fight Tang Shaoyang with his sword to find out. However, the mountain demon knew that the gap between them was just too far. Even if his sword technique was stronger, he would not be capable of displaying the full power of his tribeʼs sword technique.

”Then it might be worth it to save your people if you are confident that your sword style is as powerful as mine. So donʼt worry, if I can save your tribeʼs people, then I will do it. I donʼt want to lose out on a potential powerhouse in my empire. So try it on Orlean first.”

Tang Shaoyang exaggerated his Heavenly Sword to fish out the answer from the mountain demon. The Heavenly Sword was part of the Nine Heavenly Gates, not a sword technique. It was part of the technique of the Heavenly Nine Gates that focused on fighting with Heavenly Energy instead of mana, a stronger form of energy.

He was not surprised if the Bouvo Sword Style might be more powerful than his Heavenly Sword. Muzo was impressed by the Heavenly Revoke, but he was not amazed or shocked by his sword technique. It meant the mountain demon had seen something better before.

That was worth the risk to learn something new for him. For someone like him, he did not know how to get himself stronger. Adding a new technique might help him to fight the Nirvana Alliance later on. This made him think about what he should learn next, his new class may be a new talent. It just came to him that he had not used his main privilege as the Executive Administrator to full use yet. But this sword style might be worth using his Seven Souls to learn.

Muzo said nothing in response as he continued finishing the circle. The circle was not for memory transfer, but the way The Bouvo inherited the sword style. The mountain shared that The Bouvo had to pass trials before could inherit the sword style. Not all mountain demons mastered their sword styles.

The mountain demon finished the circle ten minutes later.

”Can you step into the circle?” Muzo gestured toward the circle as he stood next to the circle. Orlean did not hesitate to step into the circle.

The mountain demon sat next to the circle, placing his palm above the ancient demon language. He muttered something that Tang Shaoyang could not put up in his head. Nothing happened in the first three minutes, and Tang Shaoyang thought the ritual might not work for the spirit.

Tang Shaoyang did not say anything because the mountain demon kept muttering the ancient demon language. Muzo did not stop until two minutes later. The moment he stopped the circle drawn by blood glowed.

The black blood glowed in deep red, then followed by the writing also glowed. The circle moved and came together with the writing, causing it to glow even brighter. As if the writing came alive, it moved, wriggling on the ground before moving toward Orleanʼs right foot.

The moment the writing reached Orleanʼs right foot, the demon flinched slightly, indicating pain.

”You will feel a searing pain, but it should be fine. Thatʼs the process,” Muzo reminded Orlean.

The writing came alive and climbed to Orleanʼs body. Tang Shaoyang had to see with Chaos Eyes because of Orleanʼs armor. The writing was like a snake, crawling through the right foot to the belly then moving to Orleanʼs back.

The writing coiled on his back, like a twister, and it kept going. When there was no more space on Orleanʼs back, the writing moved to Orleanʼs right shoulder and kept going to his right hand, twisting around his right hand, and stopping because there was no more writing.

The ancient demon language settled down on Orleanʼs back and right hand, and it became a tattoo on the Demon Godʼs body. Meanwhile, Orlean still had his eyes closed. Through his cheeks and lips movement, Tang Shaoyang could see the Demon God was surprised at first, and the surprise turned into a delight. That was enough to tell him that the ritual succeeded.

”Can I learn your sword technique if I donʼt follow your ritual?” Tang Shaoyang asked.

Since the ritual succeeded, he did not want to take the risk of using Seven Souls to try the ritual. He hoped to learn the sword technique from Orlean.

”You can learn it manually,” Muzo nodded.

It seemed Orlean was deep in his head as he comprehended the newly acquired knowledge. The Demon God clearly enjoyed it as a smile formed on his lips. Tang Shaoyang did not interrupt his spirit, and Orlean opened his eyes five minutes after the ritual succeeded.

Orlean turned toward Muzo right away and furrowed his brow, ”Are you really going to fight me?” The Demon God did not want to kill Muzo after what he received.

Muzo smiled, ”The System will not allow me to come out alive from my prison. Why do you think The System put me to fight against your Master? The System knows your Master will easily pass the challenge, and thatʼs why he put me to fight Your Master. Show me what you have learned, Orlean.”
