Chapter 1865  Identity

Hubert frowned again as heard how ridiculous the story was. It was impossible to believe, but there was no reason for the General under Madame Romane to lie to them. What was the point of giving such an absurd false report which meant it was most likely true that Madame Romane was defeated in a matter of seconds.

”You said Madam Romane brought 5000 Demi-God Ranks, but you said in your report that the Tang Empire captured 4999 Demi-God Ranks…” Hubertʼs voice trailed off as he realized who the last person was.

”I am the last person, and the Emperor let me go and ordered me to tell you what happened to Madame Romane…” The General realized that The Emperor did give him a specific instruction, just telling him to tell what happened to his direct superior. The Emperor did not even use him to send a message unless the message was hidden in his story.

This was even more troublesome than Hubert thought. He could not read what The Emperor wanted which made them hard to respond. The Emperor did not even threaten them with Romaneʼs life, and he could see Romaneʼs name was still on the list. She was still alive, and he did not know what The Emperor wanted by keeping her alive.

ʼMaybe he wants to interrogate Romane to get more information about us,ʼ That was a possibility because Romane knew pivotal information about The Valuer Empire and their force in the tower. However, he knew Romane so well that he did not need to worry about Romane giving information to the Tang Empire about them.

”Thereʼs nothing else? Does he say what he wants from us?” Garnet asked the General. There must be a reason for The Emperor to free one of the captives.

The General tried to recall his meeting with The Emperor before running back here, but then he shook his head. There was no specific instruction or order. The Emperor let him go to report back what happened. Now he thought about it, the General felt like he missed something, but he did not know what.

”No. He did not make any demands…” The General sounded unconvinced.

Hubert shook his head and put behind Tang Shaoyangʼs unknown intention by letting one of their men. It was more important that they had not asked, ”So, the three God Ranks ganged up on Madame Romane, and how was it? How was the fight?”

The General tensed up when blinking his eyes. He thought he already told them how they captured Madame Romane, but he did not dare to remind the old man and recount the event with more details.

”I didnʼt really see what happened. Once The Emperor summoned the two God Ranks, Madame Romane used her Fire Elemental Body and Bloodline Transformation. She disappeared from my line of sight, and in the next moment, she crashed down from the sky before one of The Tang Empireʼs God Ranks froze Madame Romaneʼs body…”

The Generalʼs voice trailed off as he recalled what happened next, ”The Emperor summoned the remaining two God Ranks. One of them was a demon race, and the second one was from a Draconic race. The two God Ranks captured 4900 of us, and let the remaining one hundred Demi-God Ranks fight their Demi-God Ranks…”

His voice trailed off once more as he realized that their Demi-God Ranks were defeated. A fair fight between one hundred Demi-God Ranks against one hundred Demi-God Ranks, and they lost the fight.

”You are joking right!?” Matheo rose from his chair and grabbed The Generalʼs collar, raising the man to the air. Despite the flash of red warning before his eyes, he did not let his subordinate go.

”Did the Emperor order you to tell such a lie to scare us!? Did you take me as a fool? Thereʼs no way a lowborn like them could beat Romane so easily!”

”Release him at once, Matheo!” Hubert raised her force as he spread out his aura. He got a brief warning from the System, but it disappeared right away.

A slight nudge to calm Matheo and Matheo released The General in his hand. That showed that Hubert was the strongest among the five God Ranks from the Valuer Empire. Garnet and Franck flinched when the old manʼs aura reached them as well.

The General fell on his knees and put his forehead on the ground, ”I dare to put my life and my familyʼs to take an oath that I donʼt spout a single lie if you doubt me Young Master Matheo.”

”Enough!” Hubert shook his head and motioned to Matheo to sit down. Then he looked at the kneeling General, ”I never doubt your loyalty to the Valuer Empire, General. You can leave and get some rest, General.”

The General left the room without hesitation, and Matheo was getting restless. That meant The God Ranks from the Tang Empire were stronger than them if Madame Romane was subdued with so little effort.

”Calm down, Young Master Matheo. You canʼt lose your composure at the moment like this,” Hubert gently rebuked the young master and added an explanation, ”The Tang Empire might use an artifact to catch Romane off guard. That means we are right about them baiting us to attack them. We donʼt know that the Gondar Alliance or The Etherna Alliance might be involved as well, or maybe both. They are afraid of the Zullaris Saga, so they use the Tang Empire to attack us.”

Even though Matheo was annoyed that Hubert used his aura against him, he calmed down after hearing the explanation. That made sense if it was a trap, and the Tang Empire obtained help from the two alliances.

”Letʼs wait for…” Hubertʼs voice trailed off as he received a message from Zullaris Sagaʼs intelligence hub. He was waiting for a reply from Zullaris Saga and made sure they could make a move without severe implications later on. It was not worth it to draw wrath from one of the strong clans from the Dragon Realm over the Ancient Dimensional Tower.

”I have received an answer from Zullaris Saga…” He opened the message. His eyes went wide in shock before his face paled as he read the content. He got up from the chair, ”We f*cked up! We must do something to please The Emperor!”

Hubertʼs voice was high, to the point of almost screaming. He lost his composure, which shocked Franck, Garnet, and Matheo, especially Matheo because this was the first time he had seen Hubert make that kind of expression.

”Calm down, Hubert! Tell us what happened!?” Garnet raised his voice as well, and he was forced to use his aura as well.

Hubertʼs tense shoulder loosened, but his complexion remained pale. He sat down and let out a deep sigh, ”If we canʼt amend our relationship with the Tang Empire, Zullaris Saga will kick The Valuer Empire from the alliance. And before it could happen, I think His Majesty will cut us loose and declare us as traitors to make sure it will not happen.”

Garnet knew something serious happened, but it was confusing because Hubert did not really help them to understand the situation. They could not help if they did not know the situation.

Not long after Hubert said that he received another message. The Emperorʼs Right Hand, The Valuer Empireʼs Prime Minister sent the message under his name directly, showing the importance of the situation and the message. Sure enough, what he feared came true. If they could not make peace with Tang Shaoyang in four hours, then The Valuer Empire would declare them as traitors.

”Tang Shaoyang…” He muttered the name. When Herman Bonivido said the name, he felt like he heard it once before. The name was unique, so it left an impression in his mind.

”Tang Shaoyang is the new Executive Administrator. Zullaris Saga has confirmed Tang Shaoyang is the newly appointed Executive Administrator after achieving a feat that no Administrator could do since the founding of The Administrator, killing eight kings of the Void Cult, and The second Emperor, the Corrupted General, Thomas Lysvand, a former commander of the Hurakan Legion who once fought The Genesis Emperor on equal footing.”

”Tang Shaoyang, The Emperor of The Tang Empire from the world called Earth. He has Dragon Bloodline, and his renowned class is Spirit Contractor. From the rumor we know, Tang Shaoyangʼs spirits almost wiped out the administrators who oversaw the God Rank Trial and tried to rig the trial. The culprit that put The God Order and The Nirvana Alliance in their current predicament.”

Zullaris Saga was quite strong in the remote part of the God Realm, but they could not be compared to The God Order and The Nirvana Alliance. The Emperor was still alive after two alliances that were much stronger than Zullaris Saga targeted him. Added to his recent achievement of killing an Emperor that no one could kill, Zullaris Saga made the right choice to kick The Valuer Empire if they could not resolve their conflict with Tang Shaoyang.

Now The Generalʼs story of how Tang Shaoyang defeated and captured Madame Romane made sense. She was facing an Executive Administrator, a figure that many feared as well. No one stupid enough but the Void Cult dared to face The Administrator.

Letʼs say that they had a way to kill Tang Shaoyang, but they still did not have the courage to do it. Killing a single administrator would draw the wrath of The Administrator, and they might be wiped out from the God Realm, let alone an Executive Administrator. Of course, Hubert was not that ignorant to think they could kill an Executive Administrator. Even if the Zullaris Saga deployed all the God Ranks, that was not enough to kill an Executive Administrator.
