Alchemy Master

Chapter 108, From Hell to Heaven

“Xin’er is back?” Hearing Shu Xin’s voice, Shu Ruyan quickly looked towards the door.

She saw that Shu Xin, who usually did not obey anyone, was now obediently following behind Qin Yichen as they walked in.

“Young Master Qin.” Although the goods had been taken away, Shu Ruyan still politely greeted Qin Yichen. She turned to Shu Xin and said, “Xin’er, quickly go pack your luggage, we need to leave the Royal City as soon as possible.”

She could not wait any longer.

“Leave the Royal City?” Shu Xin’s eyes widened, and she asked in confusion, “Sister, what happened? Why do we need to leave?”

*Haaaa…* Shu Ruyan let out a light sigh, her eyes revealing a trace of gloom and sorrow.

She closed her eyes, obviously not wanting to tell Shu Xin the cruel truth. If they continued like this, sooner or later they would be driven to a dead end by those so-called relatives. Rather than meeting that end, it was better to leave before that happens.

“But…” Shu Xin was flustered, not knowing how to comfort her, and could only anxiously look towards Qin Yichen.

“Hehe.” Qin Yichen looked at Shu Ruyan meaningfully, naturally understanding her concerns, then said to Shu Xin, “Shu Xin, quickly call someone to bring the goods in.”

He pointed to the guards and several large carriages of goods waiting for them outside.

“Oh… right, Uncle Wen, the goods are all outside, quickly call someone to bring them back.” Shu Xin clapped her hands, suddenly remembering, then turned and said to Uncle Wen beside her.

“Goods?” Uncle Wen was completely confused. He hesitated for a moment, seemed to think of something, and then quickly walked out.

“Goods? What goods? Could it be…” Looking at Qin Yichen with his faint smile, Shu Ruyan’s pupils suddenly dilated, and then her small mouth also involuntarily dropped.

[Could it be that he really got to meet Zhou Tianwei!?] Her face was full of disbelief.

“Young… Young Mistress!” Soon, Uncle Wen’s excited and somewhat trembling voice came from outside. Hearing this, Shu Ruyan also quickly walked out.

Qin Yichen and Shu Xin exchanged glances, and also followed behind.

As soon as she walked out the door, Shu Ruyan saw several carriages filled to the brim, among which one batch of carriages was loaded with the goods that her Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce had transported with pretty much all the funds they had left.

“Ahem, Ruyan, Ruyan… that… Third Uncle apologises to you…” In front of the carriages, a group of Shu Family relatives were standing there. When they saw Shu Ruyan come out, the Third Uncle of the Shu Family stepped forward, his face full of embarrassment as he cupped his hands towards her.

“We… were wrong before. These are your goods, returned to you intact. Those are a small token from me and your Eldest Uncle, we hope you will accept them…” Saying these words, his heart was bleeding. However, when he glanced at Qin Yichen standing behind Shu Ruyan, he could not help but shrink his neck, obediently standing in place, not even daring to move.

“This…” Shu Ruyan stared at all this in a daze, her face full of disbelief. Of course, she would not believe it if these so-called relatives had a change of heart and returned the goods. Even their apology seems suspicious in her eyes.

[This must have been done by him…] Shu Ruyan turned her head to look at Qin Yichen, her eyes covered with a layer of mist.

She did not know why, but in this scene that should have been joyful and celebratory, she felt like crying… she really wanted to pour her heart out..

Seeing her red eyes, Qin Yichen sighed in his heart. He waved his hand at the group of people including the Third Uncle of the Shu Family, saying, “Move everything inside, then get lost!”

“Yes… yes…” Hearing Qin Yichen speak, the Third Uncle of the Shu Family was, as if granted a great pardon, repeatedly nodding and bowing. He called on the guards, and began to busy themselves under the eyes of those from the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce.

“Ahem, Miss Ruyan…” Qin Yichen coughed lightly, calling the absent-minded Shu Ruyan back to reality.

“You-young Master Qin.” Shu Ruyan covered her face with her long sleeve, wiping away the tears from the corners of her eyes. After taking a deep breath, she looked at him gratefully.

“No need to say thanks, I did this because I want to cooperate with your Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce.” When she was about to speak, Qin Yichen quickly spoke first.

“Cooperate?” Shu Ruyan was stunned.

Her Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce was already on the verge of collapse, what could they offer for this cooperation? Moreover, since Qin Yichen knew Zhou Tianwei, if he just asked, there would definitely be plenty of forces in the Royal City stronger than their Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce willing to cooperate with him. [So, why… would he choose our Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce?]

“The reason why you declined so quickly the last time is firstly, because of your so-called relatives, and secondly, because the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce lacked external support and innovation. It will gradually fall behind other businesses…” Qin Yichen smiled and said to her, “Young Mistress, am I right?”

Of course, this was not saying that Shu Ruyan’s management ability was problematic, but rather that the internal troubles had prevented her from paying attention to much else. Being able to maintain the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce until now was already praiseworthy.

“En.” He accurately pointed out the reasons for Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce’s predicament. Shu Ruyan gave a frank nod, without arguing or denying.

Beside her, Shu Xin also hung her head. She knew she was not of any help at all…

“If you cooperate with me, you can rest assured. Even if you ask your Eldest Uncle and Third Uncle for things, they absolutely wouldn’t dare to refuse. As for the second point… hehe.” Qin Yichen smiled very confidently. [As an Alchemy Saint, if I casually bring out anything, it would easily surpass other businesses…]

Hearing Qin Yichen say this, bright light surged in Shu Ruyan’s beautiful eyes. She remembered the bottle of Healing Pills he had given her for free on their return journey… that was definitely not comparable to anything else available on the market right now.

If they could really cooperate with him, success would be just around the corner.

“What do you need us to do for you?” Shu Ruyan suppressed her excitement and very calmly asked. After all, there was absolutely no such thing as a free lunch in this world.

“Just prepare the shop and medicinal herbs!” Qin Yichen smiled, paused for a moment, then continued, “As for the profit sharing… hmm… at most I’ll give you 30%!”

Zhou Tianwei had already taken 10%, and he might have to give Gu Ye another 10% later. Although he might not be able to contact his convenient Father-in-law now, that share still needed to be planned for.

Calculating like this, he could only have 30-40% at most.

Of course, he needed to personally refine the Pills, but in the future, he would only need to provide the formulas.

However, hearing about only getting 30%, Shu Ruyan and Uncle Wen frowned.

With 30%, they probably would never recover their costs.

Shu Ruyan felt even more desolate in her heart. Sure enough, there were no free lunches in this world.

“Sister, 30% is already a lot, Young Master Zhou only took 10%!” Shu Xin beside her, afraid that she would refuse, quickly reminded her.

“Young Master Zhou is only taking 10%?” Whether it was Shu Ruyan or Uncle Wen, their faces were full of astonishment.

Then after hearing Shu Xin’s explanation, the two of them realised just how huge the benefits of this 30% was! This was simply going from Hell to Heaven, then falling back to Hell, then returning to Heaven again…
