Chapter 1046, The Tragic Ancient God

Although the two were entangled with each other, Lu Fan quickly noticed the abnormality.

That snake-like yet not-quite-snake existence clearly had the weaker aura, its entire body continuously exuding wisps of pure energy that were being absorbed by the other snake.

That snake, crystalline as red jade, appeared to be in the best possible condition. Its body becomes increasingly translucent, seemingly constantly advancing towards a higher stage.

It seemed that the crimson snake was ceaselessly absorbing the Divine Power from that other snake-like being to strengthen itself.

Lu Fan believed that if he had not arrived, before long, that snake would be completely drained and die.

Seeing this, Lu Fan’s brows were already furrowed.

As a man who had been tempering himself through many situations for so long, what hadn’t Lu Fan seen?

If he had merely witnessed an Ancient God absorbing the Life Essence from another Divine Being to increase its own degree of awakening, Lu Fan would not have shown any particular reaction.

The reason he displayed such a strong reaction was entirely because after shattering the cocoon, Lu Fan realised the true Ancient God was not that crimson snake, but rather the other Monster that had nearly been drained dry.

In other words, the Ancient God here had nearly been played to death!

For an Ancient God to suffer such a huge loss, this was truly Lu Fan’s first time witnessing it.

However, this simultaneously made Lu Fan more cautious towards that crimson snake, knowing it was far from simple. Either it was just that strong, or it was extremely cunning.

Otherwise, it could not possibly have harmed an Ancient God to this extent.

Lu Fan did not speak, quietly watching the two beings entangled together, while also not having Xiao Ye continue attacking.

However, his arrival had undoubtedly already disturbed the other party.

That crimson snake raised its head, glanced at Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian, then flames flared, enveloping both it and the Ancient God.

Soon, the flames dispersed and the two snakes vanished.

In their place was a bed crafted from volcanic rock, upon which lay two people.

One of them was a woman dressed in crimson gauze, extremely seductive in appearance.

This person appeared to be only twenty-two or twenty-three, in the prime of youth, with delicate fair skin and an exquisite figure without any flaws.

Beneath her crimson gauze dress, her graceful figure was vaguely visible, appearing very alluring.

At this moment, she reclined languidly, her seductive eyes like silk, gazing distantly at Lu Fan.

Lu Fan could clearly sense that the other party could actually use Ancient God Power. Right now, she was using spiritual threads to lock onto him, examining his strength.

Yet she clearly was not an Ancient God.

This also indirectly indicated that she had already accumulated quite an abundant amount of Ancient God Power, making her almost equivalent to an Ancient God.

Beside her lay another person.

This person was far less radiant than the crimson-clad woman. He was a man who appeared to be in his forties or fifties, dried up like a skeleton, the hair and beard on his body equally withered.

He just lay there, breathing weakly, as if he did not even have the strength to move a finger.

He also possessed Ancient God Power, though it was extremely feeble.

Nevertheless, as one of the Ancient Gods, Lu Fan could still detect that while the Ancient God Power on his body was weak, it was certainly the source of Ancient God Power.

This also proved that he possessed the Ancient God Divine Seat, that he was the genuine Ancient God.

The crimson-clad woman lay beside this person, nestled against him, looking like a loving married couple.

However, seeing the Ancient God’s appearance of being drained to a husk, one knew this Ancient God was far from happy.

The appearance of these two people made Ye Wuxian’s face flush red.

She was not an Ancient God, so naturally could not sense what Lu Fan could sense, and quite naturally assumed the crimson-clad woman was the Ancient God.

She lightly commented. “This Ancient God is being far too casual with us as outsiders, isn’t she? From the looks of it, she seems proficient in some kind of… draining technique. Does she use Yang Energy to nourish her Yin Energy? I-If I obtain her Ancient God Divine Seat, won’t I… won’t I…”

She could not continue.

Lu Fan was equally greatly embarrassed. Truth be told, if there really was such Ancient God Power, he truly did not know whether he should give it to Ye Wuxian.

Fortunately, the Ancient God Power of this Ancient God before them was not so debased.

Lu Fan cleared his throat and explained. “That woman isn’t the Ancient God. The real Ancient God is the one beside her.”

“Huh? That’s the Ancient God?” Ye Wuxian was startled upon hearing this. “Didn’t you say Ancient Gods are all formidable? How is this Ancient God so miserable…”

Lu Fan smiled, saying. “I don’t know about that either. But, it’s true that Ancient Gods are formidable, but that doesn’t mean they never fail against others. I believe this Ancient God probably… failed.”

Lu Fan’s words left Ye Wuxian speechless.

As the two were speaking, that crimson-clad woman finally could not restrain herself and spoke. “You two have truly disrupted this Young Mistress’ pleasure. My Husband and I were in the midst of heated intimacy, yet you came to disturb us. What’s the meaning of this?”

At this point, the crimson-clad woman smiled slightly, saying. “Or perhaps you’re also interested in joining us?”

“If you’re interested, I don’t mind four people together. Come, my bed is large enough for four people to play together. Wouldn’t that be delightful?” As she spoke, her eyes never left Lu Fan, not concealing her greed for Lu Fan.

However, Lu Fan knew that she was not interested in him personally, but rather the Ancient God Power in his body.

If he really went over, he would probably end up lying stiff as a board like that Ancient God in a moment.

Lu Fan smiled, not noticing Ye Wuxian’s face beside him had completely flushed red, and instead said directly to the crimson-clad woman. “Speak plainly and properly. Stop with all this nonsense. I’m truly surprised that an Ancient God was actually harmed by you to this extent. Who exactly are you, and what abilities do you possess?”

“Hehehehe…” The crimson-clad woman covered her mouth and laughed lightly, her voice as pleasant as silver bells. “Me? I’m the true Master of Flaming Hell, the Purgatory Overlord.”

“As for this Ancient God…” As she spoke, her hand lightly caressed across the Ancient God’s extremely haggard face.

The latter showed absolutely no reaction whatsoever, as if already dead.

“Nothing particularly impressive. This Ancient God was hiding in my Flaming Hell and I detected his existence. I just schemed against him a little, making him believe I wanted to submit to him and become his servant, so he let his guard down.”
