Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 1022, How Is It Neither Painful Nor Itchy?

Translator: Silavin

The Purgatory Demon King could not continuously use that Skill.

However, each time it activated that Skill, substantial Health would be recovered.

Therefore, only if their Damage Output exceeded its rate of healing could they possibly defeat it. This was an indisputable fact.

After the Purgatory Demon King released that Skill, it clearly sensed the opponents understood it thoroughly.

Although merely a Dungeon Instance Boss, since it had reached its current Level, naturally it must be intelligent.

“You think understanding me means you can kill me?” It swung its greatsword toward Situ Hengxing and the others.

“If you understand me, you should fear me!” As this sword descended, the air exploded with vast sheets of firelight, scattering outward.

The searing heatwaves made everyone feel infinitesimally small before this Skill. If struck, death was virtually certain.

However, Situ Hengxing had countermeasures for this Skill.

He retrieved an ice crystal-like gemstone from his bosom, preparing to crush it immediately.

This was an Epic Grade item called Frozen World.

Once crushed, it would instantly clear all Fire Element Skill Effects on the field.

An Epic Grade item that could only clear Fire Element Skill Effects seemed extraordinarily limited in capability. It was inconsistent with its Grade. However, this also proved from another angle just how powerful its Fire Element Skill Cleansing Effect truly was.

Even the Purgatory Demon King’s Skill could be Cleansed without error!

This time, Situ Hengxing had spent considerable resources gathering nearly twenty Frozen World gemstones.

This was one source of his confidence in coming to defeat the Purgatory Demon King.

Just as Situ Hengxing was about to crush the Frozen World and continue suppressing the Purgatory Demon King, a figure suddenly beat its wings and flew before the Purgatory Demon King.

This scene shocked the Situ Family members.

They had repeatedly stated that once the Purgatory Demon King released the Skill called Ring of Death, everyone should immediately retreat, allowing Situ Hengxing to Nullify the opponent’s Skill before resuming the assault.

Yet now someone had actually charged toward the Purgatory Demon King’s Skill head-on. Was this not basically suicide!?

However, when they saw the one rushing forward was actually Lu Fan, the Situ Family members did not know what to do.

Because in their view, Lu Fan’s participation greatly enhanced the overall strength of their ten-person team.

One could even say it increased their success rate for Clearing Flaming Hell by a full twenty percent.

With Lu Fan present, the Situ Family felt more assured. After all, though young, Lu Fan was exceptionally strong.

But if he was that strong, he should be able to analyse the current situation. Why would he suddenly charge forward to his death?

Only two explanations existed.

One was that Lu Fan was blindly confident in his own strength, believing the Purgatory Demon King to be insufficient as a threat. So, he wanted to personally rush forward and kill it himself.

The other possibility was that he had indeed weighed the difference in strength between himself and the Purgatory Demon King, certain that even charging forward posed no danger.

As for which it was…

Only when the two clashed would they know.

In that instant, everyone’s attention focused on Lu Fan. Situ Hengxing hesitated over whether to use Frozen World to rescue Lu Fan.

During his moment of hesitation, Lu Fan had already swung his Mountain Moving Titan Greatsword, colliding with the Purgatory Demon King’s blade.

*Boom!* Accompanied by an explosive sound, flames instantly engulfed Lu Fan.

Everyone cried out, assuming Lu Fan had been too arrogant. Scorched by such high-temperature flames, he would likely be instantly killed.

Some had already begun harbouring ulterior motives, contemplating whether to rush forward and try recovering the armour from Lu Fan’s body.

However, these people were destined for disappointment.

Because while the flames had indeed engulfed Lu Fan, the collision of power between Man and Boss clearly showed the Purgatory Demon King was at a disadvantage.

The Purgatory Demon King was actually knocked flying by the exchange, sent dozens of meters away before stopping.

Even upon stopping, its arm bore several wounds from the tremendous recoil, torn open with gashes.

Those wounds leaked magma-like blood, which dripped to the ground emitting sizzling sounds.

Simultaneously, a powerful wind blew from within Ring of Death’s flames, dispersing the Skill.

To everyone’s astonishment, Lu Fan stood in mid-air, completely unharmed.

Ring of Death’s flames clinging to his body could not inflict any Damage whatsoever, quickly dissipating.

Lu Fan wore a faint smile, looking at the astonished Purgatory Demon King in the distance. After clicking his tongue several times, he finally spoke. “This is all you got? Your Skill struck me but why is it neither painful nor itchy?”

*Huff…* The Purgatory Demon King exhaled flames from its mouth and nose, clearly enraged by Lu Fan’s words.

It roared strangely. Flames erupted from its body and shot skyward, forming a column of light.

Then it swung its sword toward Lu Fan, seemingly intending to leverage its status as a Boss, and absurdly High Attributes, to engage Lu Fan in close combat.

Little did it know, regarding Attributes, calling Lu Fan a Humanoid Boss would actually be insulting him.

Not to mention Little Blade Armour Dragon King’s Attributes, which was already equivalent to those Mythical Grade Bosses.

Xiao Zuo and Xiao You were similarly Mythical Grade Giant Dragons.

All three sets of Attributes were combined onto Lu Fan’s singular body. In short, his Attributes were beyond imagination!

Forget same Level opponents. As long as the opponent was not an Ancient God at their peak condition, absolutely nothing in this world should be capable of surpassing him in Attributes.

Seeing the Purgatory Demon King charge forward like this, Lu Fan’s playful spirit surged.

Coincidentally, he also wanted to familiarize himself with the power of this new weapon.

Thus, his Bone Wings flapped gently as Lu Fan also charged toward the Purgatory Demon King.

The two collided at extreme speed in mid-air, then began attacking each other with greatswords. It was simple and unadorned, without any Skills. Yet the power of each sword strike exceeded what ordinary Sixth Profession Players Skills could compare to.

Forget the Fifth Profession Players present, even Situ Hengxing widened his eyes, utterly unable to believe someone could fight the Purgatory Demon King this way.

The Purgatory Demon King, what kind of existence was it!?

It was a powerhouse of a Boss, whose single Skill nearly instantly killed him.

Even he required a thorough understanding of all its skills, and had to exhaust every Skill and item he had before possibly defeating it.
