Chapter 1045, The Creature Within the Grand Cocoon

“Don’t you think that’s going too far? He’s the Supreme Commander, after all. Shouldn’t he care about saving face?” Ye Wuxian was rendered speechless by Lu Fan’s words.

Lu Fan smiled without speaking, thinking to himself that if he was going too far, then he would simply forget about it.

Moreover, while Jin Zhan’s Level was quite high, Lu Fan was not certain how far he had advanced in researching his Ancient God Power.

The Darkness Ancient God indeed possessed the ability to undergo multiple transformations based on Stages. But before Lu Fan and Jin Zhan parted ways, Jin Zhan had only mastered a tiny bit of the Power of Darkness, capable of stimulating the evil thoughts in people’s hearts and making them kill each other.

Whether Jin Zhan had mastered the same transformation abilities, Lu Fan could not say for certain.

If Lu Fan promised Ye Wuxian that he could have Jin Zhan demonstrate his various Forms later, but it turned out Jin Zhan could not do it, that would certainly make him lose face, right?

Since Ye Wuxian said she wanted to help Jin Zhan save some face, Lu Fan simply took the easy way out.

At worst, once Jin Zhan had mastered more of his Ancient God Power in the future, he could showcase it then.

If everything went smoothly today, Ye Wuxian should also obtain a Divine Seat.

When the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy starts in the future, Jin Zhan and Ye Wuxian would have the opportunity to fight together.

At that time, Jin Zhan would probably display whatever abilities he has.

Discussing this now was getting ahead of things.

The pressing matter was to examine exactly what this Ancient God before them was all about, and whether he could help Ye Wuxian obtain its Divine Seat.

Lu Fan could confirm that since his spiritual threads had made contact with the other party, it should be aware of his arrival.

However, the other party had shown no response whatsoever. It was neither attacking proactively nor fleeing. Instead, it remained completely motionless, which inevitably felt somewhat wrong.

Even now, when Lu Fan had already brought Ye Wuxian to where they could see its actual form, yet it still showed not the slightest reaction. He did not know whether it had completely abandoned resistance or was supremely confident.

Lu Fan guessed it was most likely the latter.

After all, as an Ancient God, it should still have strong survival instincts.

If it were any other creature, that would be one thing, but facing an Ancient God, they would definitely try every possible means to escape. After all, being killed by other creatures would at most result in falling into eternal slumber, missing this Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy. But being killed by an Ancient God carried the danger of having their Divine Seat stripped away.

Therefore, Ancient Gods generally only confronted other Ancient Gods head-on when the creatures of this world had almost all been completely obliterated, and even if they were defeated, it would be difficult for their Divine Seat to be seized.

Otherwise, they would never put themselves in danger.

Therefore, Lu Fan was extremely vigilant towards this giant cocoon before him, even though his perception confirmed that its degree of awakening should not be high, and the Ancient God Power within its body was not particularly strong either.

Seeing that the other party remained silent, Ye Wuxian looked towards Lu Fan, using her eyes to ask what they should do next.

Lu Fan thought for a moment, then snapped his fingers and said to Xiao Ye beside him. “Xiao Ye, transform into your Destruction Dragon Form, then try bombarding it with Magma Burst first.”

Among Xiao Ye’s Skills, Magma Burst was definitely one of those with the highest Attack Power.

Although this was just a test, Lu Fan had no intention of passing up this opportunity to strike first.

If the other party was merely bluffing, this Skill from Xiao Ye would make it suffer a bit first!

Xiao Ye released a Dragon Roar, then her entire body erupted with firelight, being consumed by raging flames and becoming a Giant Dragon wreathed in fire.

After transforming into her Destruction Dragon Form, Xiao Ye’s Mana directly doubled, and under Xiao Cui’s Enhancement, it reached an extremely terrifying level. Apart from Bao Bao, no other Pet Dragon could compare with her.

Once her transformation ended, Xiao Ye wasted no time and used Magma Burst on the distant cocoon.

The ground beneath the cocoon split open. The next second, blazing magma surged from below upwards, and with a tremendous *rumbling* sound, it directly enveloped the cocoon within.

Flames accompanied the magma shooting skyward, creating quite a frightening spectacle.

In reality, the Skill Power was far more terrifying than it appeared.

As the strongest Single Target Attack Skill in Xiao Ye’s Destruction Dragon Form, if taken Bao Bao out of the equation, no other Pet Dragon’s Magic Attack was comparable to Magma Burst.

Lu Fan narrowed his eyes, activating Black Dragon Perception to carefully sense the changes in the cocoon within the flames.

The cocoon was not as sturdy as he had imagined. Under Xiao Ye’s Skill, it immediately burst apart, unable to protect what was inside.

The contents of the cocoon were struck by Magma Burst and certainly took Damage, but under Lu Fan’s perception, he could tell whatever was inside had not died from this, nor suffered any serious injuries. Their aura had not declined, indicating that even after being bombarded by Magma Burst, it was not enough to sufficiently wound them.

That was right, Lu Fan used the term ‘them’.

After breaking open the cocoon, its contents were completely exposed to Lu Fan’s perception.

Through the dual perception abilities of spiritual threads and Black Dragon Perception, Lu Fan could already determine that there was not just one Ancient God inside the cocoon.

Besides the Ancient God, there was another existence with an especially terrifying aura, entangled together with the Ancient God, which was impossible to separate.

It was even contaminated with concentrated Ancient God Power, emanating an aura more terrifying than the Ancient God itself.

This situation was something Lu Fan had never seen among all the Ancient Gods he had encountered.

Originally, Lu Fan could have continued having Xiao Ye casting Skills to attack the two existences within the cocoon.

However, he did not do so, because the other party was an actual Ancient God, and the Damage Output from Xiao Ye alone was not enough to cause much harm.

To take down the opponent would inevitably require Lu Fan to exert his full strength.

Therefore, he was not in a hurry to strike first. Instead, he wanted to see exactly what the other party’s background was, what else was inside the cocoon besides the Ancient God, and simultaneously, what they were doing together inside one cocoon.

As Xiao Ye’s Skill Effect disappeared, the contents of the cocoon were revealed in their True Form.

Seeing what was inside, Ye Wuxian could not help but frown.

Because she saw that the cocoon contained two snakes entangled together.

One snake’s entire body was like a translucent ruby, its internal organs visible with perfect clarity.

The other one… calling it a snake was not quite accurate either. While its body was elongated, having many characteristics like a serpentine creature, many other features were not snake-like at all.

The two were entangled together, constantly writhing, making one’s scalp tingle.
