Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 1023, I Haven’t Even Released My Pet Dragons Yet

Translator: Silavin

Yet here was Lu Fan, directly using brute force to clash head-on with such a being!

It was as if he himself were an extremely High Level Boss, in no way inferior to the Purgatory Demon King.

In fact, during their exchanges, Lu Fan clearly held the advantage!

After all, each time Lu Fan attacked, he could send the Purgatory Demon King flying.

The chain hooks extending from his armour frequently tore massive sprays of blood from the Purgatory Demon King’s body, leaving wounds.

Conversely, the Purgatory Demon King’s attacks seemed incapable of threatening Lu Fan whatsoever. At most, Lu Fan would block the opponent’s attacks with his sword. Sometimes, when flames or magma appeared from nowhere, Lu Fan would not even bother blocking. He would Tank them directly.

Moreover, after Tanking them, he remained completely uninjured. This defensive capability made everyone’s scalps tingle.

These two fought so ferociously that others could not even join in.

The Situ Family’s envisioned plan of everyone attacking with full force, responding differently to the Purgatory Demon King’s various Skills, defeating it through tightrope-walking precision, completely fell apart at this moment.

Lu Fan demonstrated a question through actual action to everyone: does killing a Boss even need something like a ‘plan’!?

It was as if he was declaring, ‘watch how I brute-force it to death!’

Lu Fan continuously suppressed The Purgatory Demon King throughout the fight. The more he fought, the more comfortable the Mountain Moving Titan Greatsword became in his hand.

Lu Fan even gradually attempted activating the Mountain Moving Titan Greatsword’s Additional Trait, allowing its size and weight to further increase, applying greater pressure on the Purgatory Demon King.

Naturally, the activation had certain limitations to it. After all, Lu Fan already needed both hands to grip the Mountain Moving Titan Greatsword in its original form. If it grew any larger, he would not even be able to hold it. In that case, how could he fight with this weapon?

Still, fully activating the Mountain Moving Titan Greatsword’s Additional Trait was not impossible. Lu Fan could do so after transforming into his Golden Dragon King Form.

After all, his Golden Dragon King Form was far more massive. Even if the Mountain Moving Titan Greatsword expanded several times over, Lu Fan could still wield it single-handedly.

But now, Lu Fan did not want to expose too much of his true strength before the Situ Family and the others.

Therefore, forget transforming, he had barely used any Skills, at most only employing Dragon Fang Strike, his most basic of Skills, several times.

Even so, the Purgatory Demon King was already no match for Lu Fan, suppressed from beginning to end, struggling to find any opportunity to retaliate.

Finally, the Purgatory Demon King seemed unable to endure it any longer. It attempted using that previous Skill again, wanting to restore some of its Health.

Unfortunately, how could Lu Fan grant it this opportunity?

As it prepared to descend from mid-air, plunging its greatsword into the ground to summon surging magma torrents, Lu Fan used Dragon Language Replication to copy Lin Dong’s Skill, Sheer Cold.

As Lu Fan opened his mouth, he exhaled a breath of frigid air. Ice crystals began condensing on the Purgatory Demon King’s descending form.

Although its scorching body caused the ice crystals to begin evaporating immediately upon formation, releasing overwhelming water vapor, Lu Fan’s Skill clearly exceeded the Purgatory Demon King’s Resistance.

The water vapor quickly disappeared, sealed away by more ice crystals.

The Purgatory Demon King’s body was also frozen by the condensing ice crystals, transforming it directly into a massive ice sculpture.

Lu Fan roared, swinging his Mountain Moving Titan Greatsword. Once again using Dragon Language Replication, he copied Ye Sha’s Ghost Shadow Strike.

The greatsword radiated a red light, carrying an extremely powerful Armour Piercing Effect as it slashed toward the ice-sculpture, the Frozen Purgatory Demon King!

Everyone saw a red flash, then Lu Fan had already finished his strike. He stored his greatsword in his Inventory, not even bothering to check the Purgatory Demon King’s condition.

After all, ‘real men never look back at explosions’.

The current Lu Fan was no different.

During the previous battle, Lu Fan had thoroughly understood the Purgatory Demon King’s situation.

He had repeatedly critically wounded the Purgatory Demon King, finally forcing it to use its Skill to try and recover its Health.

And now, this sword replicated Ye Sha’s Skill. Its Single Target Damage was off the charts.

It instantly killed a critically wounded Boss. What could be simpler and more straightforward than this?

Naturally, this went exactly as Lu Fan had anticipated.

After this sword strike, the upper half of the Purgatory Demon King’s body, along with the ice surrounding it, slowly slid along a smooth diagonal plane, ultimately splitting in two and falling to the ground.

Under everyone’s disbelieving gazes, the Purgatory Demon King that had plagued the Situ Family for so long was effortlessly resolved by Lu Fan.

For quite some time, until light orbs began emerging from the Purgatory Demon King’s body, everyone finally returned to their senses, believing everything that had just occurred was real.

Now, when everyone looked at Lu Fan again, the awe in their eyes had increased a hundredfold!

Defeating Kong Lingqi and Zhao Lingfeng with one move. In everyone’s eyes, such a feat now seemed utterly ordinary.

Lu Fan could directly kill the Purgatory Demon King head-on. Kong Lingqi and Zhao Lingfeng could never accomplish this! So, how could they have any hope against Lu Fan in the first place?

Even Situ Hengxing abandoned his previous composure, cold sweat forming on his forehead.

After a long silence, he finally stepped forward, asking Lu Fan with utmost respect: “Master Lu, may I ask, have you already undergone your Seventh Profession Change!? Although I’ve had my Sixth Profession Change, and have been at that stage for many years, I’ve never seen anyone with your level of strength. Even the many talents from those Sacred Lands, who claim to be invincible below Seventh Profession, can’t compare to you. But, if you’re not, it’s truly unfathomable.”

Situ Hengxing did not deliberately lower his volume, so all the others heard him as well.

Everyone was astonished, because Situ Hengxing’s words were truly explosive.

For these people from Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Families, Sacred Lands were lofty existences. Even they did not fully understand these Sacred Lands’ true strength.

Yet Situ Hengxing had actually encountered Sixth Profession Players from Sacred Lands. This was already quite surprising.

More astonishing still was Situ Hengxing claiming even Sacred Land Sixth Profession Players could not be compared to Lu Fan!

Could Lu Fan truly be an existence that has touched upon the Seventh Profession Change!?

Seventh Profession Players, were they not supreme-level experts capable of establishing their own Sacred Land!?

How could such a person possibly be accompanying someone from a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family?

Regarding this, Lu Fan could only laugh, answering truthfully. “I’m not. I’m still at my Fifth Profession Change. As for strength… Well, this world is vast. The appearance of various kinds of experts is quite normal, isn’t it?”

Lu Fan did not continue. [You already considered this to be strong!? Oh please. My truly powerful Pet Dragons haven’t even been released yet!]
