Chapter 930: Chapter 333: 2 New Witchcrafts (Combined Long Chapter)_4

Rein took out the heavy tome on Puppetry Technique given to him by Mogaro from the drawer and began to read it carefully.

As he opened the title page, Rein saw on the next page that almost the entire page was filled with revision numbers, dates, and contents.

“Huh? It seems the school places great importance on the contents of this book on Puppetry Technique; it has undergone many revisions.”

“Indeed, for the school, this book is probably as significant as those new dictionaries were in my previous life. Although a foundational piece, its meaning is far-reaching.”

Rein first spent some time reading the overview and then, following Mogaro’s guidance, turned directly to the chapter on metal series puppets.

For Rein, the metal series puppet’s compatibility with him was quite high.

His high affinity for metal elements could also fully maximize the combat power of metal series puppets.

As for those other types of puppets, like clay series puppets, rock system puppets, and flesh series puppets, etc., he could learn more about them later after mastering the creation of metal series puppets.

After all, as a beginner, he should avoid biting off more than he can chew.

“… For puppets not demanding a high degree of wisdom, Activation Technique can suffice…”

“… If higher wisdom is required for intermediate and advanced puppets, one must incorporate a control core…”

Looking at this segment, Rein fell into contemplation.

“Degree of wisdom?”

“Activation Technique?”

“Control core?”

“Control core pertains to intermediate and advanced puppets, let’s not worry about it now; let’s focus on Activation Technique.” Rein quickly decided.

It didn’t take long for Rein to find records about Activation Technique in the last few pages of Puppetry Technique.

As First Level Witchcraft, Activation Technique was not simple to master.

However, for a wizard like Rein, with spiritual power reaching sixty points and resembling late First Level, it wasn’t difficult.

Just like when learning the Floating Technique, it wasn’t long before system prompts sounded:

[You’ve learned Activation Technique, understanding improved!]

[You’ve gained a new skill—Activation Technique]

[Your skill Activation Technique enhanced, experience +1]

…

Simultaneously, a brand-new icon appeared at the bottom of the Warhammer Wizard (Legendary) panel beside the witchcraft Metal Barrier.

The icon depicted a staff gently tapping the head of a clay figurine, seemingly imbuing it with some form of wisdom.

Rein focused on the new icon, seeing a line of small text below.

Activation Technique lv1 (1/100)

Activation Technique lv1 Effect: Consumes a certain amount of spiritual power to invoke mysterious side energy particles, granting a humanoid or beast-shaped inanimate object vitality, providing it with basic wisdom and simple mobility, lasting for half an hour.

(Note: This witchcraft is guidance-based, with casting time and spiritual power consumption determined by the complexity and size of the casting target’s form.)

“Succeeded!”

Rein’s face lit up with joy.

“Huh, humanoid or beast-like shape?”

“Duration half an hour?”

“Guidance-based witchcraft?”

Rein immediately noticed several key phrases.

Thinking it over, Rein referred to the principle of metal puppets, the simplest introductory-level puppet, no, not quite a puppet yet, according to the book, it’s called—an active metal dummy.

Simply transforming any metal ingot like iron or copper into a humanoid-shaped metal block suffices.

For other metal series wizards, this is also a very simple task, taking a maximum of one minute to accomplish. For Rein, who counts ‘Metal Morphing Spell’ as innate wizardry, it’s a matter of one second.

In an instant, a metal figure half the height of a person appeared in Rein’s hand.

Placing it on the ground, Rein began to cast the newly acquired witchcraft ‘Activation Technique’.

As the spell sounded, Rein gently pointed, casting a finger-thick earthy-yellow light beam onto the metal figure.

Roughly three seconds later, Rein noticed a tiny light spot appeared in his mental sea.

With the command “Rise,” the metal figure surprisingly began to rise, automatically walking forward….

“Hiss~ interesting!” Rein raised an eyebrow and said.

Moreover, possibly due to his high metal element affinity, he didn’t feel much consumption of spiritual power.

This means he can indeed attempt to activate even larger active metal dummies.

“Knock, knock, knock!”

A sudden knock on the door sounded.

This made Rein smile slightly, perhaps having realized something, and he instructed the active metal dummy to ‘open the door’.
