Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 928: Chapter 333: 2 New Witchcrafts (Combined Chapter)_2

”Impossible, Captain Greylo’s strength has reached the Quasi-Legendary Level. Plus, with Vice-Captain Angte, an Official Wizard, it’s just an investigation task, how could there be any accident!” The grey-robed apprentice shook his head and said.

”Wait, Medros, did you hear a sound?”

”It seems to be coming from the mine.” Sword and Shield Great Knight Ruka alertly turned around, signaling his companion to listen, and said.

”I heard it, but... could it be the wind?” Medros, holding a short stick, listened carefully for a moment, unable to discern where this sound might be originating from.

Because at this moment they were located at Dragon’s Tooth Pass, where strong winds blew year-round, which was why they chose to ride short-legged horses suited for mountainous travel rather than the Empire’s small airship.

”Ah~”

At this moment, a distinctly human scream echoed from inside the mine!

This made the two exchange glances and immediately become alert.

”Quick, hide behind the hillside.” Medros immediately urged.

The two quickly hid behind the hillside, a few dozen meters away from the mine, concealing themselves.

Their task was to warn and communicate, not to engage in combat; this was an explicit order from Captain Greylo before their departure.

A few minutes later, a humanoid monster staggered to the cave entrance, roared once, then turned back into the depths of the mine.

”What... what is that monster?”

As a Great Knight, Ruka had never seen such a bizarre humanoid monster covered in fungi.

Medros, however, was staring blankly ahead, motionless.

”Medros?” This made Ruka feel strange, as logically, Medros had plenty of combat experience. He had been an official member of a Gold Level team and wouldn’t be so scared by a monster.

”It’s over!” Medros said, utterly lost.

”It’s over! The captain, they’re all done for!”

”Ruka... that wasn’t a monster just now, it was Vice-Captain Angte Wizard!”

Medros’s words were like a thunderbolt in Ruka’s mind!

”What! How... how is this possible?”

”Really, did you notice? The amulet on its neck, I’m very familiar with that amulet. It’s a witchcraft tool that seals the Water Membrane Technique.”

Ruka was momentarily stunned, recalling that the humanoid monster’s neck did indeed have a reflective object.

”I have this tool too; I got it from the exchange hall at the branch.” Medros pulled out the rhombus-shaped crystal amulet from his chest and showed it to Ruka.

This made Ruka instantly believe Medros’s words.

Medros, after a moment of daze, began mumbling something while quickly taking a note sheet from his pocket and scribbling with a quill.

”We must report to the branch immediately!”

...

Less than half a minute later, a Blood Falcon shot straight into the sky.

The next morning.

Mingster, Rein’s new residence’s study room.

At that moment, Rein was slightly organizing the three rare metals demonized Silver, Hardened Essence Gold, and Radiant Bar, which he had brought back from the branch.

However, as Rein’s gaze fell on the demonized Silver, he suddenly raised his eyebrows, seemingly thinking of something.

He set aside a portion to morph two Kite Shields from it first, then quickly started morphing the remaining demonized Silver into components of plate armor following the style of the Secret Silver Engraved Plate Armor he was wearing.

With the ’Armor Casting Specialization (passive)’ of an Armor Forger, plus the ’Engraving Specialization (passive)’ of a Great Armor Forger, Rein took less than half an hour to complete a whole set of demonized Silver Plate Armor engraved with ’Basic Defense Inscription’.

Looking at the slightly matte silver plate armor set before him, Rein couldn’t help but nod in satisfaction.

”This set is equivalent to a witchcraft resistant armor. The demonized Silver with Basic Defense Inscription can weaken the damage of enemy witchcraft by at least half.”

”The only inconvenience is carrying it.”

However, Rein quickly thought of the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle, which had just entered its maturity stage.

”It can’t be carried around, but it can be placed on Blood Feather. Before a battle, it can be replaced anytime with the plate armor set.”

Although Rein possessed the innate wizardry ’Metal Morphing Spell’, if it were just a chest armor, it could still be managed, covering the chest in an extremely short time.

But to morph into a Knight Plate Armor Set with engraving and composed of complex components wasn’t something that could be achieved in an instant.

After completing these tasks, Rein focused his attention on the newly exchanged sheepskin scroll—’Floating Technique’.

Being a First Level Witchcraft that wasn’t particularly difficult, learning the Floating Technique wasn’t challenging.

Before long, a system notification appeared:

[You have learned Floating Technique, relevant comprehension improved!]

[You have comprehended a new skill—Floating Technique]

[Your skill Floating Technique has improved, Experience +1]

Simultaneously, below the Warhammer Wizard (Legendary) panel, next to the Steel Heart Advanced Meditation Method, a brand new icon appeared.

The icon’s pattern depicted a person floating in mid-air, stepping on a cloud-like white cloud, seemingly symbolizing the support of a cloud.

The small text below the icon read:

Floating Technique lv1 (1/100)

Floating Technique lv1 Effect: Consumes a certain amount of spiritual power, using a specific witchcraft model to evoke surrounding wind energy particles, allowing the host to float in the air for a duration of one minute.
