Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 754: 289

“Odins, do you have a moment to chat?” When coming across a familiar person, there could be nothing better. Rein said with a smile.

“Of course.”

The two of them then went to Rein’s private cabin.

“Is the battle at the front lines of Fishing Port Town still fierce? Didn’t Princess Menia, the ‘Red Queen,’ take action?” Rein asked while brewing some Yoton red tea.

“Eh? Lord Reine, how would you know that? That’s classified information,” Odins exclaimed in surprise.

But it seemed he soon thought of something and immediately continued:

“Well, the incident that day was quite the spectacle. Most of the people at the front saw it; it’s normal for some word to spread.”

“That day?”

“Yes, Lord Reine, didn’t you see the pillar of light that day?” Odins asked with a puzzled look, seemingly uncertain about the source of Lord Reine’s information compared to what he had assumed.

“Was it Princess Menia fighting with the enemy?”

“This…,” Odins appeared troubled.

Rein immediately understood that this must be classified information which, by regulations, Odins was not allowed to disclose.

However, after thinking for a moment, Rein pulled out a Red Dragon Scale that was slightly larger than an adult’s palm from inside his coat and showed it, saying, “This is a Red Dragon Scale given to me by Princess Menia, so…”

“What!” Odins’s eyes widened in shock.

He was still hesitating about whether to break the rules and inform Lord Reine, who had once saved him, of some secret information.

But upon seeing the Red Dragon Scale, Odins knew that all his worries and hesitation were unnecessary.

Right away, he spilled everything to Rein like pouring beans out of a bamboo tube:

“The Sealing Gate… it’s been opened by a joint effort of the Sea Clan and the Sea God Sect… The Tricephalous Sea Dragon… it’s said to be a divine creature. ‘The Red Queen,’ Princess Menia, didn’t manage to kill it successfully, allowing it to escape to the deep sea…”

“Lord Reine, you are aware of the Sealing Gate, right? It’s said to be created by ancient human kingdoms and the righteous churches, where they sealed various indomitable evils.”

Rein nodded, his brows furrowed at the same time.

“So behind that Sealing Gate was a Tricephalous Sea Dragon…”

“Yes, Lord Reine, you didn’t see its might; it was terrifying!”

“With its enormous body standing three or four tens of meters tall, whipping up waves like towering walls. Facing the Tricephalous Sea Dragon, even I, a Great Knight, felt myself trembling, not to mention the ordinary soldiers.”

“At that time, I happened to be on site when ‘The Red Queen’ used a Holy Artifact to severely injure the creature, turning the tide at last.”

“Odins, how many of these Sealing Gates are there within the empire’s boundaries?”

“That… I’m not very clear about. However, such information should be an imperial top secret.”

Rein nodded, it should indeed be so.

Such information, probably even Admiral Edward, the head of the Sword Bearers Branch in Mingster, might not be clear about it, let alone Odins.

He was, perhaps, being overly anxious.

…

After Odins had left, Rein crossed his arms and paced back and forth in the cabin.

“Why does this world seem to be getting more dangerous?”

“Or has it always been this dangerous, but it’s just that before, due to my lower level, I didn’t have the means to know about it?”

“The Sealing Gate? Could the ancient hero Mong also have been released from such a gate by the Black Flame Church?”

“And… there are divine creatures! Anything associated with the word ‘divine’ mustn’t be easy to handle; they are probably much stronger than the ancient hero Mong…”

After pondering for a long while, Rein sighed.

Since his class change to a Warhammer Wizard, Rein was still stealing moments of pleasure from his freshly acquired progress.

Furthermore, with the backing of the Empire, he felt he already had some self-protective power in this Transcendent world.

But now it seemed…

His strength was still insufficient!

Princess Menia’s power was unfathomable, and Rein had experienced it firsthand that day.

But even she couldn’t capture the long-sealed, weakened Tricephalous Sea Dragon, which does suggest the enemy’s formidable power.

“No wonder the front can only gain some advantage but not completely annihilate or drive the enemy away.”

At that moment, a system prompt quietly appeared:

[Congratulations! Your Constitution attribute has increased!]

“Hmm?”

“The effects of the fused breathing techniques are so evident?” Rein raised an eyebrow and said.

He opened the attribute panel and took a look:

…

Constitution: 45

Strength: 46

Agility: 45

Spirit: 55

Will (hidden attribute): 2

…

“Indeed, the original Bear King Breathing Technique was barely considered excellent as it was merely a fusion of the common Giant Bear Breathing Technique with the Inner Breathing Technique, and it had only seven movements.”

“But the current Fire Bear Breathing Technique has reached twenty-four movements.”

“Even for my senior Great Knight level body, it has a significant enhancing effect.”

Rein could feel a persistent warmth in small muscle groups and areas like his calves and waist.

It felt as if something was slowly nourishing those small muscle groups and tendons.

He remembered that this morning, after completing all twenty-four movements, the sensation was most pronounced.

“A warm waist?”

“Good waist, good kidneys? So my Constitution has improved?”

Additionally, Rein seemed to have a feeling that his sensitivity to the fire energy particles around him had slightly increased.

But this change was very subtle.

If not for the Spirit attribute of a formal wizard level, he really wouldn’t have sensed this variation.

But he wasn’t quite certain if it was a natural increase in the density of the energy particles around, something that Cleya had mentioned to him before.
