Chapter 3246: Chapter 3247: Mysterious Blessing

”Turul people? Those Cupheads who only care about dandelions?” Luigi furrowed his brow in confusion: ”Why would the Evil Witch’s Eye be interested in Cupheads? Could it be that there’s some connection between the Evil Witch’s Eye and the Cupheads?”

Turul people are a very special race. They suddenly appeared in the Daylight Mirror Domain, around the time period of two thousand eight hundred to three thousand years ago. Before this, even the Turul people themselves did not know where they came from and why they appeared in the Daylight Mirror Domain.

The past of the Turul people is a blank.

The various races of the Mirror Domain speculate that the Turul people arrived through the Sea of Void Mirror, which washed away their memories, hence their blank past.

But whether this is the true situation, no one can say for sure.

If the Turul people are connected to the Evil Witch’s Eye, could it relate to the blank history of the Turul people?

After all, over so many years, according to Luigi’s observation, the most unique aspect of the Turul people is their ”blank past.”

Piwu shook his head: ”I don’t know if there’s a connection, but when I came this time, I did see Turul people, and the Evil Witch’s Eye was always very calm.”

Since then, the Evil Witch’s Eye has not been ”excited” until now.

Luigi pondered for a moment, then turned to look at Angel: ”I remember you once mentioned a guess; you think the Turul people might be related to humans.”

Angel nodded.

The Turul are called Cupheads because their heads are various kinds of teacups.

And teacups are typical human life utensils.

It’s for this reason that Angel finds the Turul people quite peculiar; even if a teacup gives birth to a spirit, at most it would only be one or two, but now there’s a group of Cupheads, they clearly aren’t ”spirits.” If they aren’t spirits, why are their heads shaped like teacups?

Angel wonders if it could be possible: synthetic beings.

He really finds it hard to imagine a naturally occurring race with teacups as heads. If they weren’t born from nature, then perhaps they were ”created.” Maybe not necessarily by ”humans,” but definitely not naturally.

Luigi: ”Previously, Piwu also mentioned that the original owner of the Evil Witch’s Eye was a human wizard. And the Turul people might be highly connected to humans. Could it be that because of this connection, the Evil Witch’s Eye regards the Turul people differently?”

At Luigi’s words, Piwu shook his head: ”No, although there aren’t many humans in the Mirror Domain, they still appear occasionally. The Evil Witch’s Eye, despite originating from humans, has never felt ’excited’ towards humans. Including now...”

Piwu glanced cautiously at Angel and continued: ”It’s still not excited at all.”

According to Luigi’s explanation, the Evil Witch’s Eye reacts to the Turul people because they’re related to humans—essentially implying that the Evil Witch’s Eye is interested in humans. But with Angel right in front of him, Piwu doesn’t feel any excitement from the Evil Witch’s Eye.

Luigi didn’t speak but continued to look at Angel.

Angel understood what Luigi meant.

Luigi’s speech seemed to suggest that the Evil Witch’s Eye treats Turul people well due to their relation to humans. But in truth, what he wants to express is... could the Evil Witch’s Eye be the Black Hand behind the creation of Turul people?

Only Luigi and Angel are aware of the guess that ’Turul people might be synthetic beings,’ so Luigi deliberately said it to Angel.

Piwu’s misunderstanding is understandable.

Angel thought for a moment, shook his head: ”Not sure, but most likely not.”

If the former owner of the Evil Witch’s Eye really created the Turul people, then its ”excitement” at seeing them should not be limited to a specific individual but extend to the entire group of Turul people. However, when Piwu encountered Turul people this time, the Evil Witch’s Eye didn’t react at all.

Although this can’t be used as proof, it does indicate a few things from another angle.

”There’s actually no need to engage in baseless speculation now.” At this time, Pika Sage spoke: ”When a question arises, one should seek proof.”

How to seek proof? Very simple, go to Turuga City.

But not now.

”If there’s a free moment afterwards, I’ll take Piwu to Turuga City to stay and study for some time. By then, the truth will naturally come to light.”

Pika Sage: ”For now, there’s no need to discuss this issue, let’s return to the present. Since Piwu’s spiritual power has been restored, might as well test the effect of the Evil Witch’s Eye’s blessing.”

Pika Sage turned his gaze to Angel.

Angel did not refuse, nodding: ”Alright.”

The question of the Turul people can be answered directly by letting Piwu check it out. Instead of worrying about these results which can be verified, it’s better to focus on what kind of blessing the Evil Witch’s Eye will provide.

Pika Sage turned to Piwu: ”The next step is up to you.”

Upon saying that, Pika Sage cradled a cup of freshly brewed fruit tea, leaned back on the soft sofa, leaving the space for Piwu and Angel.

Piwu composed his expression, sat upright, and deliberately lowered his voice: ”Mr. Angel, for the sake of fairness, there might be a procedure to follow.”

The so-called procedure is actually signing an informed agreement, or a ”non-entanglement covenant,” indicating awareness of the potential consequences of the Evil Witch’s blessing and agreeing not to blame Piwu or implicate the Pi Luoxiu Clan if side effects occur.

Angel understood this.

After all, many races have bad tempers, and if an unfortunate random effect unfavorable to them were to occur, implicating the Pi Luoxiu Clan would be troublesome.

So, signing a covenant in advance is quite normal.

Signing the covenant isn’t one-sided; upon completion on Angel’s side, Piwu also needs to sign one. Piwu’s covenant is a true representation of the Evil Witch’s Eye.

Piwu meticulously wrote down all the effects of the Evil Witch’s Eye, potential side effects, and various constraints.

And promised that everything he said was true.

Although Piwu had stated these details before, he only spoke orally back then, with no binding covenant, so it was hard to determine truthfulness. Now, with this covenant, it can be judged that Piwu is speaking the truth.

For example, Piwu explicitly stated previously that the Evil Witch’s Eye might produce negative effects, side effects, and redundant debuffs, all of which are random and uncontrollable.

Piwu had mentioned this, and now it’s written in the covenant, signifying he wasn’t lying.

There are also some details Piwu hadn’t specified before, but Angel now understands them thoroughly through the covenant.

One clause states: the Evil Witch’s blessing is not permanent, its duration varies by individual. The longest nearly half a year, the shortest only one day.

Additionally, while the Evil Witch’s blessing can repeatedly be used on the same person, the usage intervals still vary, relying on individual circumstances and luck.

The shortest known interval is from Piwu’s father, who could be blessed again within roughly a year; the longest interval reached a hundred years.

How exactly these intervals are calculated, Piwu can’t say precisely; he feels it’s completely random.

”What about you?” Luigi curiously asked: ”Do you have usage intervals for blessing yourself too?”

Piwu nodded: ”I do have intervals for blessing myself, though... I won’t use the blessing on myself.”

Luigi: ”Why?”

Piwu scratched his head: ”Although the Evil Witch’s Eye acknowledges me as its master, I always feel like it wants me dead... Once I use the blessing on myself, the side effects are greater than those for others. Although it won’t lead to immediate death, it might place me in a detrimental position.”

Although Luigi felt strange, he did not continue to ask.

On the other hand, Angel was curious about Piwu’s remarks... The Eye of the Evil Wizard harbors malice towards its owner? Does this mean that there is actually a Mysterious Spirit inside the Eye of the Evil Wizard?

Or perhaps, the consciousness of the Evil Wizard has actually become a Mysterious Spirit?

Angel attempted to ask Piwu, but Piwu was confused, as he too was hearing about the ”Mysterious Spirit” for the first time.

Angel thought for a moment and did not pursue the question further because, although he had seen and heard about Mysterious Spirits, he had never come into contact with them.

Since he hadn’t personally experienced it, there was no need to speculate.

...

After both parties signed the contract, Piwu coughed and reiterated, ”I must stress again, the effects of the Evil Wizard’s blessing magic and any potential repercussions are not within my control. If Mr. Angele does not receive the blessing he desires, please do not blame me.”

Angel nodded, ”I understand.”

After reiterating once more, Piwu said, ”Now, Mr. Angele can choose the type of blessing you want. Bloodline, Element, or Mystery.”

”Although I’ve mentioned this before, protocol requires me to say it again. Among these three types, the recommendation is bloodline as the best, element as second, and mystery as last.”

”Please make your choice.”

Angel did not hesitate at all and directly said, ”Mystery.”

”Are you sure you want to choose the Mystery? Blessings of the mysterious kind are often useless and may even produce some undesirable negative effects.” Piwu looked at Angel.

Angel: ”No problem, I’ll choose Mystery.”

He never had high hopes for the Evil Wizard’s blessing magic, never thought he could gain something from the blessing.

More importantly, he wanted to use the Evil Wizard’s blessing to sense fluctuations of the Mysterious Power.

A person blessed by the magic retains mysterious fluctuations for a period, just like the Elder of the Crystal Eye Clan Angel had seen before.

Compared to those random, unreliable blessings, Angel was more interested in the mysterious fluctuations.

As for choosing bloodline, element, or mystery? Even though Angel did not expect much from the blessing, if he did happen to receive a blessing suited for him, it would undoubtedly be a mysterious type.

After all, he himself was a wizard of the mysterious side Illusion Series.

So, with an ”if” mindset, he chose Mystery.

He was aware that mysterious blessings might have significant negative effects, but according to the cases provided by Piwu, the negative effects were generally within his tolerance.

Moreover, negative effects are not permanent; even at their worst, they should last no more than half a year.

Angel didn’t think he would be so unlucky to receive a blessing with both severe negative effects and a long duration.

With full confidence, Angel resolutely chose the mysterious blessing.

Seeing that persuasion was ineffective, Piwu did not say more and simply nodded at Angel, then began to activate the Eye of the Evil Wizard on his brow.

Mysterious aura continued to rise.

When all the mysterious aura around Piwu gathered at his brow, the Eye of the Evil Wizard suddenly opened!

The internal twin pupils spun like marbles, and as they spun rapidly, a heart-shaped pattern slowly formed into a dark cross pattern.

At the moment the cross pattern appeared, Angel’s eyes suddenly became dazed.

He felt himself arrive in a pitch-black space, where nothing could be seen around, except for a giant rotating twin pupil above his head.

The cross pattern generated by the rotation of the twin pupils constantly emitted strange mysterious fluctuations.

These mysterious fluctuations were unlike any fluctuation Angel had ever seen in any mysterious object; they seemed to have their own consciousness, beginning to wrap layer after layer around Angel.

It was as if Angel was wearing clothes made of Mysterious Power around him.

One set, two sets, three sets...

Finally, when the clothes made of mysterious fluctuations reached thirty sets, the cross pattern above slowly disappeared, and the rotating twin pupils returned to a static appearance.

It was at this moment that Angel’s eyes emerged from their haziness.

He looked up and found everyone was now watching him, while not far away, Piwu lay on the sofa gasping for breath.

”Are you... alright?” Luigi originally wanted to ask Angel if he felt any different, but he reconsidered and changed his words.

Angel looked perplexed at Luigi, not understanding why he would ask about his physical condition. Nonetheless, he replied, ”I’m fine, what’s wrong with Piwu?”

Piwu extended his hand wearily and waved lightly, ”I’m fine, it’s just that performing blessings twice in one day consumed a lot. I just need to rest for a while...”

After a pause, Piwu continued, ”Mr. Angele, you... should now be able to perceive the blessing you’ve received.”

At this point, Piwu looked apologetically at Angel, ”This time, the blessing may have little effect for you, sorry.”

Piwu clearly already knew what blessing Angel had received.

Luigi immediately looked over, wanting to ask Piwu. But Piwu did not open his mouth; it was better for Angel to provide the specifics about the blessing.

From Piwu’s expression, Angel could roughly guess that the blessing he received probably wasn’t very useful.

Nonetheless, he would perceive it first and then speak.

Angel closed his eyes and extended his spiritual power to perceive the surrounding mysterious fluctuations.

Yes, now his whole body was surrounded by a rich mysterious fluctuation, and like those ”clothes” before, it enveloped him.

When his spiritual power touched the mysterious fluctuation, Angel sensed the first piece of information: ”Thirty days.”

This blessing lasts for thirty days.

This matched the number of ”clothes,” which didn’t surprise him.

Thirty days, or one month, is normally a standard duration. However, he still needed to check the specific blessing, and what potential repercussions might arise.

If there were significant repercussions, thirty days could be a bit challenging.

Thinking of this, Angel proceeded to probe deeper with his spiritual power into the mysterious fluctuations, and soon, a second piece of information flooded into Angel’s mind.

Notably, this time the information was a visual image.
