Chapter 3212: Chapter 3213: The Dream That Returned

Luigi’s message not only included Kukurus’s experiences on Mist Isle but also Kukurus’s views and evaluation of the Dream Crystal Origin.

The Mist Isle experience has already been discussed and can be set aside for now; the most critical issue is Kukurus’s evaluation of the Dream Crystal Origin. Is it positive or negative?

Kukurus’s thoughts are very important because it is a crucial link in opening the gates to the Hundred Dragon Divine Kingdom.

If it can be persuaded, the promotion of the Log-in Device in the Hundred Dragon Divine Kingdom will face minimal obstacles, possibly even none.

Because—

Kukurus is the bearer of the Dragon God’s Mark!

As the king’s credential, the bearer of the Dragon God’s Mark has significant influence in the Hundred Dragon Divine Kingdom.

Of course, the Dragon God’s Mark is not unique; in this generation of the Mirror Dragon Clan, not only Kukurus but also Baba Ragon possesses such royal potential.

However, Baba Ragon has not returned to the Hundred Dragon Divine Kingdom for a long time, and its influence is not high.

But if both Baba Ragon and Kukurus, the bearers of the Dragon God’s Mark, endorse the Dream Crystal Origin, it will undoubtedly cause a great upheaval within the Hundred Dragon Divine Kingdom.

By that time, Angel might not need to actively promote it; the Mirror Dragons would come forward to inquire on their own.

As a flagship race of the Daylight Mirror Domain, the Mirror Dragons’ actions greatly influence the judgments of various tribes. In Angel’s words, they are a ”fashion trendsetter.” Once the Log-in Device is accepted by the Mirror Dragons, it will inevitably become a trend pursued by other tribes.

Therefore, at this moment, Kukurus’s evaluation is very important.

Laplace obviously knows that Kukurus’s evaluation is representative. She organized Luigi’s conveyed message carefully and repeated it without omission.

After listening, Angel made a summary: based on the overall conversation, Kukurus has a largely positive view of the Log-in Device and the Dream Crystal Origin.

However, Kukurus’s praise did not contain much personal emotion, rather it seemed like an objective assessment.

It’s not that an objective evaluation is bad, but the more objective and rational it is, the more the shortcomings of the Dream Crystal Origin are magnified.

After all, for Kukurus, this is just a merchandise transaction.

Speaking in commercial terms, magnifying the shortcomings will inevitably dilute the advantages. The potential that is within reach and promising future prospects will also be deliberately ignored.

This is certainly not what Angel hoped for.

Even from a distance, just listening to the conveyed messages, Angel could sense the underlying message; as someone involved, Luigi would naturally have an even better understanding of Kukurus’s thoughts.

...

Inside the Cloud Cave.

Luigi was still talking to Kukurus about the various advantages of the Log-in Device: ”The Dream Crystal Origin is a world waiting to be developed, full of endless possibilities...”

Kukurus knew that Luigi was right but did not make further statements.

Because from the current perspective of the Dream Crystal Origin, the benefits to individuals seem to be less than satisfactory.

Seeing that Kukurus had been silent for a long time, Luigi pondered for a moment, his gaze falling on a sleeping puppet nearby. He thought for a moment and said: ”...especially for those injured and unable to move, the Dream Crystal Origin is a very suitable place for recuperation; moreover, for the hatchlings, it can be termed a paradise.”

Kukurus knew what Luigi was alluding to, and after a long silence, it finally spoke: ”I have to admit, the Log-in Device is very attractive to Luskania and the young hatchlings of the Hundred Dragon Divine Kingdom. You can tell since Luskania hasn’t logged off since.”

”However, for truly mature Mirror Dragons, its appeal is limited. What you mentioned — boundless connection, creating a new world — these are beautiful visions, highly attractive to other tribes. But for Mirror Dragons, we don’t need real-time connections with other weaker tribes, nor do we have the motivation to create a so-called new world.”

”Of course, I’m not denying the value of the Log-in Device. Since it has been acknowledged by that being, it certainly holds unique value. However, this value is hard to manifest in most Mirror Dragons.” Kukurus calmly looked at Luigi: ”You should understand my meaning.”

Luigi remained silent, bowing his head, secretly communicating with Laplace.

A few seconds later, a reply from Laplace arrived, transmitted by Angel.

Angel: ”From an objective analysis, Kukurus is not wrong. Currently, the Dream Crystal Origin indeed lacks elements to attract Mirror Dragons.”

Luigi: ”What do you think?”

This time, Laplace took half a minute before conveying Angel’s response: ”Perhaps, choosing Mirror Dragons as the breakthrough point is not the best option. The Mirror Dragons’ hatchlings are ultimately a minority in the Hundred Dragon Divine Kingdom, and relying on the minority’s opinion to influence the majority is difficult...”

Luigi also lamented: ”Indeed, especially since no Mirror Dragon hatchlings have entered the Dream Crystal Origin this time. Trying to make a breakthrough point from one angle is not easy.”

Angel pondered for a moment: ”In that case, there’s no rush to conquer the Mirror Dragons. There’s no hurry to promote the Log-in Device. The gathering will last long enough, and perhaps there are more suitable races...”

Luigi: ”So, should we just leave Kukurus alone?”

Angel: ”Promotion should still proceed, but for now, let’s cool things down.”

The cooling down mentioned isn’t about not discussing it but waiting for the appropriate time to talk again. For example, waiting until the Mirror Dragon hatchlings feel the beauty of the Dream Crystal Origin again; or perhaps when Luskania starts to get accustomed to life in the Dream Crystal Origin.

With some understanding, Luigi pondered for a moment before asking again: ”And if Kukurus wants to buy the Log-in Device now, do we still sell it?”

Angel: ”About the sale, let’s discuss it later. As for the Log-in Devices you previously gave to Kukurus and Luskania, consider them as gifts.”

After Angel had made his decision, Luigi did not say much more, looking up at Kukurus: ”I understand your point. As things stand, the Dream Crystal Origin indeed doesn’t appeal much to the Mirror Dragons, but in the future...”

Kukurus interrupted Luigi: ”Are you going to say that the future is promising? That it will get better once the new world is created?”

Luigi nodded noncommittally: ”That’s right. I know you don’t believe it, or rather, you have other ideas, but it’s fine. Anyway, I have nothing more to say.”

Kukurus paused, clearly puzzled by Luigi’s sudden lack of enthusiasm.

”Aren’t you going to continue promoting the Log-in Device?”

Luigi waved his hand: ”Not interested anymore.”

Kukurus frowned, noticing that Luigi had been very eager to promote the Log-in Device before, almost wishing to immediately capture the high ground and monopolize the market.

Now, a complete turnaround had occurred, leaving Kukurus a little confused.

Could it be that the being behind Luigi had spoken?

Only the words of that being could cause such a significant change in Luigi’s attitude...

If indeed, it was the words of that being, could it be this conversation upset the being behind Luigi?

Hesitating slightly, Kukurus spoke: ”I think you might have misunderstood me. I can represent the Mirror Dragons to purchase more Log-in Devices, but I wish to meet the creator of the Dream Crystal Origin.”

Luigi glanced suspiciously at Kukurus: ”Creator? I don’t even know who the creator is. How can I introduce you?”

Kukurus: ”I want to meet the entity behind you.”

Which is, the true form of Laplace.

Luigi frowned: ”What do you actually want to do? Stop beating around the bush. Just say it directly!”

Kukurus paused for a moment and said, ”I hope the creator of the Crystal Origin of Dreams can provide customized rules for the Mirror Dragons, especially the young dragons, so we can watch over them at any time.”

Upon hearing this, both Luigi, and those in the Rock Palace like Laplace and Angel, understood Kukurus’s intention.

In short, it’s about demanding authority.

Perhaps Kukurus wasn’t aware of the existence of ”Authority,” but it sensed traces of rules from certain details in the Crystal Origin of Dreams, such as the situation inside the Dragon Tomb.

Since there is a rule framework, there must be the ability to control those rules.

It does not seek absolute control but desires to have control over the Mirror Dragon Clan.

Therefore, even though Kukurus internally admires the Crystal Origin of Dreams and has even determined that it could be a future paradise for its sister,

it still did not show this admiration, opting instead for a relatively rational and objective attitude to negotiate with Luigi.

As for Kukurus’s demand for authority, it did not see it as excessive, considering that in its view, the Crystal Origin of Dreams is a virtual world created by that entity.

A virtual world, a dream of illusions. If it is just an insignificant dream, why can’t the power be divided?

Not just Angel, but even Luigi was amused by Kukurus’s thought.

But upon reflection, it’s somewhat understandable.

Kukurus had only been in the Crystal Origin of Dreams for a short while and hadn’t understood many things or seen the true value of the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

In the beginning, when he entered the Crystal Origin of Dreams, he too did not see its value; it was Glaipnir who, with keen insight, discovered that the World Will of the Dream Realm and Mirror Domain were engaged in gambling over this, confirming the Crystal Origin of Dreams as an irreversible trend for the future, with immeasurable value.

Thinking of this, Luigi didn’t say much else and just shrugged at Kukurus: ”I think you are overthinking it. I don’t know if the Crystal Origin of Dreams has a creator; even if it does, it’s not something my true form can create.”

”Its position is much higher than you imagine.”

Kukurus frowned: ”What do you mean?”

Luigi spread his hands: ”I’ve already told you what I know. Anyway, the matter of a creator isn’t related to my true form. I even doubt if there is a creator.”

”Let’s set aside the promotion issue of the Log-in Device for now; we can discuss it later when there’s an opportunity. As for the Log-in Device for you and your sister, consider it a gift.”

At this point, Luigi stood up and stretched lazily: ”I’ve done what I needed to do. I believe that after you stay in the Crystal Origin of Dreams for a few more days, you should be able to meet Baba Ragon. I’ll not be involved in other matters.”

”I need to prepare to leave.”

As Luigi spoke, he signaled Kukurus to open the door to the outside world.

Kukurus originally thought Luigi would continue negotiating about the Log-in Device but didn’t expect him to give up so quickly... For a moment, Kukurus didn’t know how to respond and could only open the door leading to the outside of Cloud Cave as per Luigi’s intentions.

Luigi walked step by step towards the exit and, just before stepping through the Light Gate, suddenly turned his head and glanced at Kukurus, saying, ”A final reminder for you.”

”Dream has long since left the Mirror Domain.”

”Why are there no dreams for Mirror Domain creatures? It’s due to the trend of the World Will at the time.”

”But now I can tell you, dreams have returned.”

Having said that, Luigi left the Cloud Cave and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

And Kukurus remained silently pondering that final message left by Luigi.

Indeed, the Daylight Mirror Domain has long lacked dreams for life forms. According to the speculations of the Mirror Sea scholar, it seems the Dream Realm has drifted away from the Mirror Domain.

As for why the Dream Realm deviated from the Mirror Domain, Kukurus didn’t know, but Luigi just gave a reason: it was the trend of the World Will.

The World Will could not accommodate dreams.

But now, the Crystal Origin of Dreams has arrived.

Previously, Luigi mentioned that the coverage of the Crystal Origin of Dreams extends over the entire Daylight Mirror Domain.

With such a vast range, aside from the World Will, who could grant permission for the Crystal Origin of Dreams to take shape?

Thinking this way, Kukurus seems to have understood a bit that the Crystal Origin of Dreams is tacitly allowed by the World Will to exist.

Although this still doesn’t confirm that the Crystal Origin of Dreams doesn’t have a creator, it can be certain that its existence must have engaged in gambling with the World Will, which ultimately led to its recognition by the World Will.

And anyone who can gamble with the World Will is definitely a big shot above Legend or even Miracle.

Such a big shot, if the creator of the Crystal Origin of Dreams, is definitely not someone Kukurus can dare to meddle with.

As for what role the great entity behind Luigi played in this matter? Kukurus didn’t know, but it guessed, perhaps... a representative?

It’s obvious that asking the ’representative’ for authority would be impossible.

Upon realizing this, Kukurus suddenly felt an impulse; perhaps it should temporarily set aside the matter of requesting authority and first retain Luigi to further discuss cooperation on the Log-in Device?

But in the end, Kukurus didn’t call Luigi back.

There’s still plenty of time for gatherings, so why not think about it a little more?

Later, it could consult the Mystic Book Dragon; it might know some secrets.

Once everything is confirmed, it could then talk to Luigi about the cooperation and promotion of the Log-in Device.

Kukurus temporarily set aside the matter of the Log-in Device and turned its gaze to the nearby sleeping puppet.

From the tightly closed eyelids of the puppet, it could be seen that Luskania hadn’t gone offline yet.

The corners of the puppet’s lips subtly curved upward, seemingly smiling, something Kukurus had never seen before...

Does this mean, for Luskania, the Crystal Origin of Dreams is a beautiful dream that would make her smile even in sleep?
