Returning to the dormitory building, Gu Xi pushed open the door to his room and saw a spotless room.

Although he had never really moved in, someone tended to it daily, making it seem brand new.

After entering the room, the first thing Gu Xi did was toss his clothes onto the floor and plopped down onto the sofa.

He had barely settled down when there was a knock on the door.

Gu Xi felt a bit puzzled, as he didn’t know many people at the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, and he hadn’t informed anyone of his return.

Why would someone come knocking?

Though unsure of the situation, Gu Xi got up to open the door.

Since he was in his own room, Gu Xi moved at a leisurely pace, unlike his usual brisk and decisive manner.

Gu Xi opened the door, intending to ask who it was, only to find a Fierce Weasel butler standing outside.

This Fierce Weasel butler politely bowed to Gu Xi, ”Mr. Gu Xi, I am the dedicated butler for all the rooms on this floor. I saw you return from the game just now, so I brought you some food and refreshments to enjoy.

Just aiming for a bit of relaxation.

Since it’s my first time serving you, I’m not sure of your preferences, so I brought the basics. If there’s anything you’re not satisfied with or dislike, please let me know, and I’ll replace it with something more to your liking.”

Gu Xi didn’t expect that there were such services within Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

It was timely, as he hadn’t had a proper meal for some time.

So, Gu Xi nodded, ”Sure, go ahead and bring the stuff in. Oh, I don’t eat cilantro, I prefer sweeter drinks, and no special requests other than meat-based main courses.

Oh, and since I’m still alive, no need for any food meant for the Undead.”

After stating his preferences, Gu Xi went back to lounging on the sofa.

The Fierce Weasel’s eyes flashed with understanding at Gu Xi’s words.

”This is great, sir, serving you is such a breeze, you truly understand the hard work of us service staff.

Unlike others who, when asked what they want, just say ’whatever,’ only to find fault with everything when it arrives. Please wait a moment, sir, and I’ll have everything arranged for you.”

With that, the Fierce Weasel began directing the others to bring in the items.

As the Fierce Weasel delivered the items, Gu Xi couldn’t help but think perhaps the guild leader of Chaoyang Radiance Guild had truly come out.

All the servers delivering the food were white-furred mice, their human-like demeanor reminding Gu Xi of the situation in the Evil God Hall.

Why do people associate mice with gourmet food?

Fortunately, although the chefs were mice, the food they served was normal.

At least, the food was quite mortal world-like, with the first dish being a big bowl of noodles.

Seeing the steaming hot noodles, Gu Xi felt warmth fill his heart.

The subsequent dishes brought in were even more to Gu Xi’s satisfaction.

Since they weren’t sure what flavors Gu Xi preferred and considering Gu Xi was alone, the dishes were served in small portions but in great variety, prioritizing Gu Xi’s choices.

Moreover, the quality of these foods was top-notch.

They weren’t the kind of ordinary food placed on large plates; they were genuinely delicious.

As Gu Xi picked up his favorites and started eating, the Fierce Weasel butler keenly observed his preferences.

As the dishes were gradually removed, those brought out afterward were mostly the ones Gu Xi loved.

Of course, the drinks were also served.

Perhaps because Gu Xi mentioned he liked sweet drinks, the served items surprised him a bit.

He looked at something resembling gummy candy and asked, puzzled.

”What’s this combination of alcohol and candy? I’ve only heard of alco-chocolates, not this stuff.”

”Oh, sir, we heard you like sweet things, so we’ve prepared gummy bears soaked in Water of Life, ensuring they’re sweet.”

The Fierce Weasel explained the origin of the item.

After a moment of thought, Gu Xi understood what the so-called Water of Life referred to.

Looking at the items before him, Gu Xi couldn’t help but shake his head. Can this even be consumed?

Luckily, the Fierce Weasel had many different drinks prepared, so whenever Gu Xi was dissatisfied, new drinks were quickly brought in.

The speed at which things were replaced was beyond normal imagination, so fast that Gu Xi barely noticed.

Amidst eating and drinking, Gu Xi found his home unknowingly filling with some inexplicable items.

The extra flowers and fresh fruits made sense to Gu Xi, as they were said to enhance the room’s ambiance, making it more lively, as arranged by the Fierce Weasel.

The small deco items were also understandable, asked about by the Fierce Weasel to adjust the room’s feng shui.

But the presence of the Cat Girl and Snake Girl sitting beside him was quite another matter.

When had they sat down?

Seeing Gu Xi’s speechless expression, the Fierce Weasel also had a helpless tone.

”Sir, I apologize, we’re in an ordinary residential dormitory here, so arranging some exquisite ones like the Nine-tailed Fox or Jade Rabbit Spirit isn’t feasible, as they’re in the advanced dormitory area.

Our permissions don’t extend to transferring them, so you’ll have to make do with these for now.

If you have any other requests, we can also look into fulfilling them.

I heard that recently, Clam Girls have appeared; they’re not of high lineage, but each one is a gem and can produce Clam Pearls. If needed, I can help apply and have them delivered in the shortest time.”

”That’s not what I meant. I just...”

Gu Xi waved his hands repeatedly.

”I understand, sir. These are just little creatures, merely kept in the room to add some vibrancy.”

The Fierce Weasel spoke earnestly.

Not giving Gu Xi any chance to return the items.

Gu Xi tried to say more, but the Fierce Weasel had already begun bringing in other things.

Maybe the Fierce Weasel had already figured out Gu Xi’s preferences regarding food; everything delivered after aligned with Gu Xi’s tastes.

Even though Gu Xi kept saying he truly couldn’t accept anything more.

But with the Fierce Weasel’s persuasion, most of the items remained.

Among all these, the most important aspect was that everything was courtesy of the Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

This one fact birthed an idea in Gu Xi’s mind.

Why hadn’t he rested in the dormitory sooner?

No, let’s redo this.

As the saying goes, ’If you treat me as a gentleman, I will repay you as one.’

The Chaoyang Radiance Guild truly has a strong ability to win people’s hearts!
