”My Lord!”

Shaya, who had just woken up, was still quite weak.

However, judging by Isabella’s expression beside her, Shaya should be fine and would probably recover in a few days.

But Gu Xi didn’t look so well. When he saw Shaya awake, he didn’t ask her what news she had gathered, but instead asked straight away.

”Who made the move?”

”A Rakshasa Ghost, said to be a subordinate of the Rakshasa King, easily recognizable with red hair and green eyes. When I was gathering information, it just charged out with no sense of martial virtue. If I hadn’t reacted quickly, I might have really fallen into his hands.”

Shaya naturally understood Gu Xi’s thoughts; she would never hide anything from the enemy.

When Gu Xi asked, she directly identified the enemy.

”Before leaving, I got him back for you to settle this vendetta. If he doesn’t play by the rules, then I’ll make it so he can’t say anything at all.”

Gu Xi decisively said, ”Have Eldest Princess Anna mobilize the troops and prepare for battle at any time.”

After arranging the tasks, Gu Xi then turned to ask Shaya.

”You rest well first, we’ll talk after I clear the field.”

Seeing that Gu Xi was about to leave, Shaya hurriedly stopped him.

”My Lord, there are some things I need to tell you first. They are looking for you outside, do not take action on your own, and it’s best not to go to Yellow Springs Road or Soul Gathering Land, go straight to Blood Sacrifice Ridge, and signal to exit this world from there.”

Seeing Shaya’s anxious look, Gu Xi was also a bit puzzled.

”They’re all looking for me?”

”Yes, I went to check on the situation this time and heard bad news. Eight days ago, Emperor Yushu of the Great Feng Dynasty suddenly passed away after four years on the throne, leaving only a one-year-old Eldest Prince Bei and an eight-month-old Second Prince Yong.

The Ten Monitors of the Inner Court disappeared upon Emperor Yushu’s death, and half of the West Garden Imperial Guard Army simultaneously vanished without a trace.

Now the court is in chaos, and at the same time, the ghosts and spirits of the Underworld are in disarray as well, with many people searching for the cause of Emperor Yushu’s death.”

Emperor Yushu?

Upon hearing this emperor title, Gu Xi knew who it referred to.

Wasn’t he the Yaksha Jade Tree King? Gu Xi also didn’t expect that the Yaksha Jade Tree King would play so big.

Reincarnating directly into the royal family, and even becoming the Emperor.

Initially, when he heard the name Yaksha Jade Tree King, he thought it was just a prince.

But he still didn’t quite understand.

”How could it cause such a big uproar?”

”I secretly inquired a bit, and it seems that the Yaksha Jade Tree King sought help from a few big shots, expressing willingness to pioneer the way for this great calamity to commence.

His task was meant to be transitional, and those big shots promised that as long as Yaksha Jade Tree King completed this task,

He could take away the Dragon Qi and National Fortune right before his death.

With these, when he returned to his own body, he could break through level 20 in one go, turning from a piece to a player.”

Hearing Shaya say this, Gu Xi was also a bit taken aback, ”Then he achieved it, right? Why then would it still cause chaos and have so many people looking for me?”

”My Lord, he did sit on the throne, but the timing was off.

Because Yaksha Jade Tree King already died, a little guidance could easily reveal many pieces of information.

I learned that this time’s great calamity is an opportunity for many ghosts and spirits to wash clean and strengthen.

The whole calamity is expected to last from sixty to eighty years.

The death of the Jade Tree King, no, Emperor Yushu, marks the beginning of the calamity.

This is the main reason why Yaksha Jade Tree King could gain the most benefits.

He is using his death to pave the way for others.

Originally, he could live another ten years, then ten years later he dies, his young son Yong becomes Emperor, then gets overthrown by his eldest son Bei, causing chaos within the Feng Dynasty.

At that time, the whole Great Feng Dynasty would become a battleground for the ghosts and spirits.

Some ghosts and spirits intent on competing for the dragon in the calamity had all joined in about a decade ago.

The ghosts and spirits on Yellow Springs Road wanted to claim the second wave position.

As a result, the sudden death of Yaksha Jade Tree King sped up the calamity.

Now, many of those ghosts and spirits are only about ten years old, and what can they do now? Nothing at all.

The most important thing is, the Great Feng Dynasty is an imperial dynasty.

They could let a ten-year-old child ascend as Emperor, but absolutely not allow a less than one-year-old infant to ascend as Emperor.

If Eldest Prince Bei and Second Prince Yong cannot ascend, and if an energetic and capable Royal Family member takes the throne, then the situation may change.

Additionally, the disappearance of the Ten Monitors of the Inner Court has shifted some of the Great Feng Dynasty’s contradictions from internal-external court to conflicts among external court officials.

Perhaps in this way, internal strife might not happen.

Plus, the setups of some big shots haven’t been completed yet.

So, the whole Yellow Springs has become chaotic, and now many people want to find out who killed Yaksha Jade Tree King.”

Upon hearing the situation, Gu Xi’s expression also became somewhat grim.

Although Shaya described it relatively simply, Gu Xi could fully hear the danger involved.

At the same time, he also understood that he had managed to offend most of the world’s powerhouses this time.

This is also why Gu Xi stayed in Yalidu City all along, as the world’s big shots hadn’t yet broken through the space to enter Yalidu City.

However, if Gu Xi were to enter the Yellow Springs Road again, those big shots would certainly find Gu Xi at the first opportunity.

Understanding this point filled Gu Xi’s heart with unwillingness.

Leaving after clearing the field versus escaping under pressure are two completely different concepts.

After Shaya explained the general situation, Gu Xi pondered seriously for a long time, eventually asking.

”Shaya, what is the attitude beyond the Ghost Gate?”

”Ah?” Shaya was surprised by Gu Xi’s question and was momentarily taken aback.

”I mean, what is the attitude of the big shots beyond the Ghost Gate about this incident?

Just think, so many powerful ghost gods borrowed the path of the Underworld to reincarnate, possibly carrying some items with them. Take a look at the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp for example.

It can escape once from the womb-loss confusion. With this, wouldn’t there be a low-end version?

If it is all like this, would the Underworld agree?

Those ghost gods must have suppressed the forces on the Underworld’s side.

It’s just that the Underworld doesn’t want to get involved, so they haven’t intervened.

But non-intervention doesn’t mean they have no opinion in their hearts.

I want to know what the Underworld thinks about this matter this time.”

Shaya then caught up with Gu Xi’s train of thought, ”There should be, My Lord, now that you mention it, I realize that perhaps the people from Soul Gathering Land already knew something, otherwise they wouldn’t be so considerate to me.

Sometimes information seems to appear in front of me inadvertently.”

Upon hearing Shaya say this, Gu Xi understood the attitude behind it.

He then fell into silence.

This time, Gu Xi’s silence lasted quite a long while, about twenty minutes, before he finally spoke slowly.

”We finish our revenge and leave!”
