Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 300: Chapter 298: Assault on the Demon Fortress

Looking at the current situation, Gu Xi felt a little unwilling if he didn’t find that special undead.

So he thought for a moment and finally called all the undead he had just summoned to the front to check each one’s attributes.

Soon, Gu Xi found the information he wanted on a zombie that seemed ordinary.

[Special Undead: Thousand Faces (Level 2)

Possible stationed buildings: Plaza, Street, Sewer

Traits Influence:

Ignore: Thousand Faces has the ability to blend into the environment, and if he doesn’t reveal himself, ordinary people won’t notice there’s a Thousand Faces around them.

Change: Thousand Faces can transform into the appearance of others, but he can only change his exterior, other aspects can’t be changed.

Assimilation: If Thousand Faces keeps transforming into someone or something, over time, he will become that item and gradually lose the abilities characteristic to Thousand Faces.]

[Note: This is an undead transformed from a player, but before he died, he carried two different deceitful objects, and after his death, he activated these deceitful abilities.]

After finding the target, Gu Xi finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Gu Xi didn’t care about the situation with Thousand Faces, nor how he appeared; he was just worried that something strange would infiltrate his team.

Now that this special undead has been identified, Gu Xi stopped dwelling on it.

His focus shifted to some of the delivered items.

Gu Xi first glanced at the bones or stones recording various eerie information; he simply looked at them and intended to let the barmaid organize them.

As for how much of it is true or false, it would be up to the barmaid to determine.

Then came some items or equipment.

Ever since Gu Xi had his subordinates clean the battlefield first, the quantity of these things significantly increased.

However, Gu Xi was quickly drawn to two already damaged items.

[Damaged Cloak (Gray): A torn cloak, no one knows what it was like before, but the eerie aura left on it attracts some people’s attention.]

[Wrecked Gloves (Gray): Completely wrecked gloves, when you hold them, you’ll realize they used to be a powerful deceitful object.]

Regarding these two items, a sudden idea came to Gu Xi’s mind.

Perhaps he could use these items to lure out some players from Qiufeng City.

Of course, those are thoughts for the future.

After completing the summoning, Gu Xi’s gaze shifted partially to the direction where Blood Courtesan first appeared.

Now Gu Xi didn’t plan to only confront those enemies wandering the streets; he also intended to deal with the enemies that had established bases.

The previous appearance of Blood Courtesan gave Gu Xi an excuse.

Now he was looking for the location of the enemy demons.

Soon, Gu Xi saw an abandoned Tenshou Pavilion. The reason it caught his attention at first glance was entirely because of the pink mist shrouding above the Tenshou Pavilion.

Gu Xi understood the situation at a glance, and he couldn’t help but shake his head.

No wonder these demons could suppress Blood Courtesan; it seemed they were naturally counter to Blood Courtesan’s type of existence.

However, these guys weren’t so lucky, running into Gu Xi.

Gu Xi raised his hand, and thirty Red Dragons halted mid-air, while his undead corps began heading towards the Tenshou Pavilion.

A city gate appeared behind Gu Xi.

This was Gu Xi’s first siege since entering the game.

At this point, Gu Xi wasn’t quite sure what the enemy’s situation would be, nor did he know if the opposing defense would have any additional support. So, staying cautious and vigilant was never wrong for Gu Xi.

Under Gu Xi’s command, the newly summoned undead corps swarmed towards the Tenshou Pavilion like an army of ants.

They had just advanced a short distance when a batch of demons emerged from the direction of the Tenshou Pavilion, wearing JK, mini skirts, nurse uniforms, etc., but their bodies were grotesquely twisted.

Some had heads larger than their bodies, others grew unnecessary organs, and some had limbs transformed into completely different weapons.

Even Gu Xi couldn’t bear to look at these beings.

Compared to these guys, even the failed undead experiments Gu Xi had seen before were more visually appealing.

As these demons charged out, they demonstrated significant combat power.

These demons, like the undead, didn’t care about their own casualties; they only cared about whether they could take down the enemy in front of them.

So their attack strategy involved rushing directly at the enemy for a slashing kill style.

Either they die, or the enemy dies. If lucky, they might even take down an additional foe.

Such combat tactics took out over half of Gu Xi’s undead corps in no time at all.

Yet, Gu Xi did not deploy his main force in the rear.

He kept waving the Cold Wind Staff in his hand, each strike resurrecting an undead.

Indeed, Gu Xi knew at this point the enemy wanted to force out his main force.

But Gu Xi didn’t intend to follow the enemy’s plan. He decided to perform battlefield summoning directly, disregarding any information or equipment, using Soul Summoning Skill directly to maintain the cannon fodder undead corps.

As soon as one cannon fodder undead fell, two more were immediately resurrected.

Gu Xi couldn’t believe that the commander here could have countless cannon fodders to use like himself.

Indeed, about ten minutes into the battle, the number of twisted girls emerging from the Tenshou Pavilion began to decrease.

At this point, some powerful units finally appeared.

This time, the demons emerging from the Tenshou Pavilion were a group of women with multi-colored hair, different from the previously twisted girls, and their faces and physiques were at least normal.

In their hands, they held items resembling sovereign’s staffs or makeup boxes.

Each artifact was pink, looking rather cute.

Upon appearance, they first assessed the situation on the ground, then surprisingly raised their tools as if preparing for transformation.

Seeing their emergence, Gu Xi had already stationed the Red Dragons in the sky on standby.

Upon witnessing such an unusual phenomenon, Gu Xi immediately swung his hand heavily.

The Red Dragons swooped down, unleashing a burst of Dragon Breath at these colorful-haired women.

But just as the Dragon Breath was unleashed, the tools in these women’s hands emitted pink light, vanishing the Dragon Breath.
