Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 255: Chapter 253: Dungeon Collapse (85/160)

Boom!

As Gu Xi released another city gate, more and more tree roots descended from the sky, striking at the soldiers who fled into the underground tomb.

Under such an attack, some soldiers, including their leader, had to flee towards the city gate that Gu Xi released.

But Gu Xi knew very well that he couldn’t hold on for long.

More and more tree roots had started to launch attacks on his two city gates.

At first, Gu Xi resisted the attacks of the tree roots, hoping to save more people.

After all, with another gate opening, some soldiers had also rushed in through Gu Xi’s main city gate.

Now, Gu Xi couldn’t care too much; he could only let people through the gate while keeping a close eye on the tree roots ceaselessly appearing in the sky.

Those tree roots were getting thicker and stronger, and eventually, something as thick as a tree root from Evil Wood Lake pierced in from the ground.

When this root pierced in, Gu Xi understood that this dungeon was beyond saving.

When the root struck towards him, he decisively severed the connection between the two city gates and the underground tomb, temporarily departing from the dungeon.

As the city gates disappeared from the dungeon, Gu Xi saw that thick root strike heavily on the Flower of the North’s stone coffin, shattering it.

At the same time, the Holy Tree Crown beneath the coffin was also struck out, and the four different apples were shattered on the spot.

When the city gate disappeared, a voice came to Gu Xi’s ear.

[Dungeon: Westminster Cathedral Major Event destroyed, dungeon ended prematurely, would you like to restart the dungeon?]

Gu Xi was about to say restart the dungeon, but looking at the soldiers crowded under the city gate, he hesitated for a moment.

Finally, he gave up the immediate thought of restarting the dungeon.

Just as he walked into the city gate, a group of soldiers came up to him.

As soon as these soldiers entered Yalidu City, they felt the thick death qi in the city, and they all knew they had arrived at Gu Xi’s city, a city belonging to the Undead.

Among these soldiers, there were relatively few who were originally Undead, and they didn’t want to consider what they would become after death while they were still alive.

”Sir, thank you for helping us at the last moment, but could I ask if we can go back?”

Gu Xi hesitated for a moment, then shook his head, ”I’m not sure right now, but I can find a way to send you to Victoria City.”

Hearing this, these soldiers felt a bit more at ease.

The reason Gu Xi was uncertain about sending them back into the dungeon was that he was worried that if the dungeon restarted, he wouldn’t know if the same soldiers would appear inside.

But Victoria City was different. Gu Xi had just contacted Victoria City.

Now that he hadn’t restarted the dungeon, it meant his connection with Victoria City was still relatively close.

Maybe sending people to Victoria City at this time was the most convenient.

”Sir, we’ll definitely remember this favor.”

”Yes, we’ll definitely remember this favor.”

”That’s right, you saved us this time, and we’re not the kind of people who forget kindness.”

The soldiers said in twos and threes.

Gu Xi didn’t underestimate these soldiers.

One must know that those who came over were elites, belonging directly to the Royal Family, the Church, or are elites under various organizations in Victoria City.

Even if they were cannon fodder under Anna’s command, in Victoria City, perhaps they were the overlords of the streets.

Gu Xi still wanted to buy some more houses in Victoria City, with their help, this would definitely be quite a big help.

”You can rest here at ease for a moment, I need to check the other city gate, the situation over there may not be better than here.”

Gu Xi was still concerned about the city gate in the Magic Plant District at this time.

He seemed to see someone sending Eldest Princess Anna through the city gate amidst the chaos back then.

Now Gu Xi didn’t know the situation, but if he could save the Eldest Princess Anna in the dungeon, it would be a huge profit.

Upon hearing this, the soldiers did not drag Gu Xi further.

”You’d better go quickly, we’ll be fine here. It’s safe here.”

”Yes, nothing’s wrong here. You’d better go over quickly.”

The soldiers actually understood that only after checking the situation on the other side could Gu Xi conveniently send them back to Victoria City; dragging Gu Xi now would be wasting their time.

Gu Xi smiled at these soldiers, then turned and mounted the Evil Coffin, swiftly heading towards the Magic Plant District.

As Gu Xi hurried over there, Luna also appeared behind Gu Xi.

”How’s the situation in the Magic Plant District now?”

At the sight of Luna, Gu Xi directly asked about the situation in the Magic Plant District. He had managed to force open the city gate of the Magic Plant District earlier, which was somewhat dangerous.

Given the current situation in the Magic Plant District, if it’s in chaos, the strange entities could rush out.

”I’ve already used the Land Grant Order, which has stabilized the Magic Plant District, but...”

”It’s okay, speak up if there’s a problem.”

Gu Xi could see that Luna was somewhat hesitant.

”It’s like this, when I used the Land Grant Order, it was towards the mist outside the city gate, originally thinking it would create new plots outside, but unexpectedly, the Land Grant Order restored the destroyed plots in the Magic Plant District. This makes me feel like it’s somewhat wasteful.

If the destroyed plots in the Magic Plant District can be restored, then surely they can be recovered through other means as well. If we study it a bit more, we could patch up the missing plots, and now using this Land Grant Order to fill it in feels a bit of a loss.”

”No problem, the most important thing now is to stabilize the Magic Plant District, if there’s some loss, then it’s fine.”

Gu Xi immediately understood what Luna regretted.

To Luna, each piece of land in Yalidu City was as important as her life.

With this move, several vacant plots were reduced.

Listening to Gu Xi’s persuasion, Luna finally stopped complaining and started talking about the effects after using the Land Grant Order.

”After I used the Land Grant Order, the area of Evil Wood Lake expanded a bit, so I diverted it into the river in the Upper City District, letting the water flow into the Pier District. After the water in Evil Wood Lake had a new route, the places that were previously flooded became vacant again. The Magic Plant District finally calmed down.”

It’s good if it’s calm, Gu Xi suddenly thought of something.

”Over by the two city gates, some apple tree roots attacked the gates earlier. I’ve already dealt with the main city gate over there; will the gate on the Magic Plant District side be affected?”

Upon hearing this, Luna furrowed her brows in thought.

”It should be fine; I checked those apple tree roots that bounced in, and the roots weren’t too long. Things seem okay.”

As Luna was speaking, Gu Xi and they had already entered the Magic Plant District.
