”Brother Li, why do I always feel like the guy from Steel Ghost Claw Guild is up to some scheme?”

”You really don’t know, do you? That fool’s son also graduated this year. It seems he was the one whose top spot you stole. He possesses the Soul Hunter skill.

Killing nets him a Ghost, and with the same type of troops, his Undead Transformation speed far surpasses the others.

Now you should understand the reason behind this, right?”

”He’s playing like this, isn’t he afraid of losing? No, he’s already lost, yet he hasn’t faced any punishment.”

”How could he not? This incident has blown up. That fool won’t get anything good out of it, but even if there’s punishment, what good is it? Players from the other two cities have joined in as well.

And new rules have already been set. They can’t be changed until the next White Training Grand Ceremony.

This time at the White Training Grand Ceremony, there’s bound to be big trouble.”

Hearing Li Xinghui’s words, Gu Xi actually laughed, ”Brother Li, that’s where you’re wrong. At this time, who’s still thinking about stuff like rule-breaking? This is the time to take action directly, and take out all the players from those two cities.

Even if I’m ranked last, I’m sure the players of Bailian City will remember my methods.”

”You’re right. This is how it should be. The White Training Grand Ceremony is our Bailian City’s grand ceremony, what does it have to do with those two cities? I don’t care about any rules. Wiping out the players from those two cities is the priority.

All of you listen up, if you see players from Qiufeng City and Cold Leaf City, kill them directly!”

Just as Gu Xi finished speaking, a voice came from behind him.

Gu Xi turned around and saw a middle-aged player, draped in white Dragon Bone, speaking with excitement.

”Liu Yongsheng, you can’t do this. If they join, they’re considered part of the grand ceremony’s rankings. If we break the rules, we lose our chance at the leaderboard, and if Bailian City’s reputation is harmed, you might not bear the responsibility.”

The vice president of the Steel Ghost Claw Guild jumped out again at this point.

The middle-aged player named Liu Yongsheng was about to speak, but Gu Xi interrupted.

”What’s there to be afraid of? Just beat everyone on the leaderboard, and we’ll see. With so many Undead Mages gathered together, I don’t believe we can’t take down the hastily assembled Order Mages and Demon Sorcerers.”

”Exactly, that’s the spirit. All of you listen closely. If breaking the rules gets you kicked off the leaderboard, don’t be afraid. Just pull the others down too. We don’t need the top spot this time, but the people of Qiufeng City and Cold Leaf City must die.”

As he said this, Liu Yongsheng also looked at the vice president of the Steel Ghost Claw Guild, with a serious expression as if those words were meant just for him.

This gaze infuriated the vice president of Steel Ghost Claw.

But he couldn’t start a fight with Liu Yongsheng, so he could only glare angrily at Gu Xi, as if trying to intimidate him.

But Gu Xi wasn’t the least bit scared of that look. Without sparing the so-called vice president a glance, he turned and headed in the direction where the White Training Grand Ceremony was starting.

As he passed by Liu Yongsheng, Liu Yongsheng patted Gu Xi on the shoulder.

”Young man, well done. Bailian City needs players like you.”

”Of course, I’m the chief of this year’s Nether Bone Wind. If I don’t step up at times like these, who will?”

”Ah, hahaha, just what we need, that kind of spirit. Don’t worry, some people won’t be jumping around for long.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, Liu Yongsheng was startled for a moment, then he gave Gu Xi a heavy pat on the shoulder and turned to look at the vice president of Steel Ghost Claw, his expression almost forming into a fan chart.

Gu Xi didn’t concern himself with their silent disputes. He pushed aside the newbie players blocking his way and walked directly to the Teleportation Gate prepared for the grand ceremony.

He glanced back at Li Xinghui and saw Li Xinghui giving him a thumbs up.

Gu Xi smiled at Li Xinghui and entered the Teleportation Gate without bothering to take the Soldier Token handed out in front of it.

Seeing Gu Xi’s actions, other players lit up. They tore the suppressors off their powers, revealing one Undead after another behind them.

Then they pushed away the Soldier Tokens being distributed and stepped boldly into the Teleportation Gate leading to the White Training Grand Ceremony.

The vice president of Steel Ghost Claw wanted to step in but was stopped by Liu Yongsheng.

”No rush, your son’s not up yet, you know the line, right?

Relax, your son will definitely want to take a Soldier Token.

I think there might even be extras of those Soldier Tokens.

Such a shame though, they’re a strong troop trained on the City Lord’s private grounds.

You don’t need to worry about your son anymore with so many Soldier Tokens. He can pick and choose carefully, he’ll surely find one that suits him.”

”You...”

”Don’t you dare skip the choice, this is the perfect chance to prove your fairness and impartiality, that pushing for new rules doesn’t come from personal bias.”

Liu Yongsheng’s ”I’m watching you” expression made the vice president of Steel Ghost Claw incredibly angry.

Ever since Gu Xi pushed away the Soldier Token and stepped into the Teleportation Gate, he realized the situation had changed.

He didn’t even dare let his son play by the rules.

After all, once in the game, life depends on oneself.

If everyone played by the rules, it would be fine. But now, with everyone ignoring the rules, it’s actually deadly.

But Liu Yongsheng was already resentful of the vice president’s actions. He was directly watching over the matter, intending to give the vice president’s son no easy entry into the Teleportation Gate no matter what.

Break the rules, and reap the consequences.

Finally, under Liu Yongsheng’s strict guard, after all the new players had entered the Teleportation Gate, the vice president’s son, that unlucky player named Song Sheng, finally entered the gate.

He was the only player in this White Training Grand Ceremony to take a Soldier Token.

For besides Liu Yongsheng, there were dozens of leading players from various guilds closely watching his every move.

Song Sheng had every reason to believe that if he didn’t take this Soldier Token, he’d be directly killed by the many players present, and not even his father could protect him.

For the sake of his own safety, he could only accept the Soldier Token and quickly leave.

Once all the new players entered the Teleportation Gate of the White Training Grand Ceremony, Liu Yongsheng shut down the gate and then looked at the vice president of Steel Ghost Claw.

”Alright, everyone’s in. Now let’s talk about our own matters. Do you think the people from Qiufeng City and Cold Leaf City have entered the game?”

Upon hearing this, the already gloomy-faced vice president suddenly widened his eyes.

”Liu Yongsheng, what do you mean by this?”

”Nothing much, just wanted to make a little adjustment. In this White Training Grand Ceremony, being killed means death!”
